I also got the buffalo wings and thought they were really good. You get a great portion for the price and they had plenty of flavor. I also tried the grilled cheese with bacon added. It comes on sourdough and was grilled perfectly. Really simple, but really good. The fries were also very good, although I definitely recommend eating them right away while they are hot. They did not hold up quite as well after sitting in the takeout box for a while. I only went inside long enough to pick up my food, but the bar itself was actually really nice. It had a much better atmosphere than I was expecting. If I am ever back in Yakima, I would definitely stop in again and actually sit down for a burger and a drink.

We've always sat in the main part of the Tavern, but the first person arriving chose to sit in the side room which seems to be a back-up supplies room with a long table for guests since it was quieter. It was quieter. No matter the sitting location, the service has always been great. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it was excellent--flavorful, well made, and generously portioned. Even better, they actually had horseradish available, which is surprisingly hard to find and made the whole thing even better for me. A solid, satisfying meal with plenty to take home half for the next day. I'll definitely be back.

DO NOT GO HERE: read below. This place deserves zero stars but I will settle for 1 since that is not an option. I went in for lunch and ordered a pulled pork sandwich. My first impression was that $7.60 was a little steep for just a sandwich without fries but I rolled with it and figured it must be worth it if they have the gall to charge this much for a sandwich by itself. I got my sand which and drove off not really sure of what to expect but hopeful that it would be an acceptable lunch. What I found was anything but that. When you go out to a restaurant, you expect a certain level of quality or perhaps some sort of presentation that would make me consider coming back. I did not find that at Laraits. Specifically the bun was about as soggy as they come, it is literally just pulled pork and Hamburger bun lathered in what appeared to be some ghastly combination of ketchup and BBQ sauce. That is what $7 will get you at Laraits, a soggy pulled pork sandwich. It was nauseating and I didn't even finish it. If you don't believe me, I took a picture of the sandwich and will try to post it on this review. Why don't you guys take some notes from anyone else who has ever made a pulled pork and add some coleslaw, a bun that is not so Damn soggy, and some decent customer service. You guys suck at food service plain and simple. I have been going to and even worked in the food service industry for a long time and this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review of a restaurant. I even created an account on yelp just to raise awareness. The manager wasn't exactly rude, but she isn't the type of person who needs to be serving food to paying customers. I have had better service from the employees at McDonald's. Nothing against McDonald's but i expected an increase in service following an increase in price, but don't expect that here. To the owner: you have a great location and a place that looks like it would be a great BBQ place. But looks will only get you so far. Take a look at your menu, read your bad yelp reviews and use it as constructive criticism. Some of your menu is awful and you need to address it.
