I ordered a loaded baked potato but apparently they were out of potatoes (???) so the cook decided to give me hash browns with the toppings instead. I would have liked the choice of fries or tots, but he just swapped them out without asking. Very odd decision. The band was doing a sound test and was blowing the place out with LOUD guitars and lots of feedback. We couldn't talk to each other and even our teenage daughter had to cover her ears because it was sooooo loud. We were completely unable to have any conversation and our waitress had to shout at us to communicate anything at all. That is not our idea of entertainment. Our waitress was very nice, but this will be our last meal here.

The burger comes with all the fixings - mayo, lettuce, cheese, pickle, onion and a pleasant tasting bun which is good. What's missing is a juicy patty. The fries are also flavorless and dry. They look like the crinkle kind that come frozen in a big bag. The onion rings are the real deal - different sizes of rings, good flavor and great crunch. They serve a generous number so if I don't share them, I have a few to take home. The guys working the truck are friendly.

We ordered at the walk-up window, but the drive thru was equally slow (the order mic is only one car behind the pickup window, so they can't possibly queue/prep more than two drive thru orders at a time). - the burgers were all (4) cooked about five minutes past well done. They were hard to bite, hard to chew, and hard to swallow. Condiments helped, but not enough. Maybe this is (part of) why orders were taking so long. - the tater tots were beyond crispy - there was no potato left in them. It was fun for the first couple of tots, but then it had a really artificial feel to it - like those french fries that you buy in the potato chip bags. We regretted stopping here, and very much doubt that we will ever be back.

Their house made tarter sauce and sriracha aioli was the best compliment to the fish and fries. They give a hefty portion and they don't short you on fish. I want more!!! With three growing young men, the total bill at restaurants is growing dramatically! As such, we sampled a large portion of the menu. We had a bacon cheeseburger, the Ranchero burger and the Big Farmer burger. The Big Farmer was a tank! Multiple animals plus an egg up top with all the fixins - it was as big and beautiful as it was delicious. Everything was large, filling and reasonably priced. I had a Cobb salad and it was a treat! Beef is always preferable, but a bit of rabbit food with toppings often hits the spot. The salad here was really good sized, and had a ton of good targets on it. It had more olives than I have ever seen on a salad, which for me worked out well! The service was really quick, and the woman at the drive-through was very helpful. Given it was my first time, I had a lot of questions, did she answered them quickly and completely. All in all, the vibe here was great and it's a spot we will be coming back to when we are in the area.

Fish Bones is a lovely takeout place serving some of the most delicious food in Yakima. I got the three meat combo which comes with fried shrimp, fried chicken wings, fried catfish and sides including collard greens, mac n cheese, and candied yams. I also got the peach cobbler. Good LORD this food is good. Not a single item was disappointing. Each bite of the fried items was delightfully crispy and flavorful albeit on the salty side. The meat was tender and juicy. THE SIDES. You need to drop this phone and try these sides. These collard greens were smoky and unctuous with pork flavor. The baked Mac n cheese was very satisfying. THE CANDIED YAMS. No disrespect to the chicken or catfish but the candied yams were my favorite thing of the entire ensemble. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Henry beauchamp community center. It is easy to miss but so worth going out of your way for. I'd say the biggest downside is this food is heavy and disrespectful of the rest of your day. You WILL fall asleep within 5 minutes of finishing your meal. That's just my opinion and others may not agree. The guy working was friendly, though a little busy being the solo cook and getting a bunch of orders at the same time. I guess I went during a rush haha! The place is tucked sort of away inside the community center, so if you feel lost, just keep walking into the hallway and the restaurant window is further inside.
