Had dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Yakima and overall it was a really solid meal. I got the 28 oz bone-in ribeye, which is obviously a huge steak, and it was really good. Mine came out just slightly more done than I ordered, but honestly not enough to bother me much. With a steak that large, especially around the bone, I was kind of expecting some variation in the cook anyway. Most of it was right where I wanted it and the flavor was excellent. My date got the full rack of ribs and those were also really good. We both got baked potatoes, although I went with the baked sweet potato, and everything on the sides was cooked well. We also had a few margaritas. I had a couple of the spicy ones and they were really good, definitely better than I expected from a chain steakhouse. The peanuts were a nice snack too and I ended up taking some home. Our server was excellent. I unfortunately cannot remember his name, but he was a younger guy and did a great job throughout the meal. He was attentive without hovering and everything came out smoothly. On our road trip we decided to stop by Texas Roadhouse for lunch. It's pretty easy to get to since it's right off of I-82. Kailee was our server. If you want a good dining experience, try and sit in her section. The manager stopped by and welcomed us to the restaurant since some of the folks in our group had never been to a Texas Roadhouse before. It's like Jimmy Mac's in Federal Way but with less flair. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy the food came out in a timely manner. They cook a pretty good sirloin. We have visited the Texas Roadhouse on Joint Base Lewis McChord, and in Spokane. This time we joined the wait list as we dropped down into Yakima from the north. When we arrived we were seated immediately. A "cactus blossom" was ordered and devoured . Our steaks were nicely seasoned and cooked properly. The shrimp skewers were cooked perfectly. Not too many of these around Washington so finally tried it recently. It's pretty good value. The food overall was solid. We had a ton of bread which was addicting and also had salad and the onion flower all of which were good. Portions are definitely large for how much bread you'll inevitably eat. Staff was also extremely friendly and service is super fast for how much food we ordered. Probably the nicest server Ive ever met. The hosts, however, literally three of them, ignored us. No greeting, their back to us and everything. They saw us walk in. We (wife and myself) actually weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves. We probably only waited for like three minutes, but that seems like a really long time when you're standing there next to them while they chat with each other. When we left, it was the same thing, no goodbye, just the three of them talking to each other. It was super awkward. Food was good. Server was amazing. Anyway, I'm not gonna go back because of that. We came around 4:30 and our party of 6 was able to get a table without any wait, although the restaurant was pretty full. All the wait staff were kind and welcoming. The food came out fairly timely. The line was BANANAS at 5pm on a Saturday night, but, as a smaller party we only waited 10 minutes or, so which was great. The staff is non-stop busy but also non-stop friendly and checking in. It feels like the ratio of wait staff to customers is very high. Okay, for day 1 of their opening they killed it! It was super busy when we arrived at 430pm, just 30 minutes after opening. Only about a ten minute wait which was great. The staff... the staff were phenomenal! So welcoming and friendly. Everyone was super cheerful and informative. Great attention to detail from the service to cleanliness. Everything was timely and running smoothly. The food was also great. We all had steak, I went with the medallions medium and they were very tasty. Would skip the rice and just get potatoes next time. Took friends to dinner tonight, when I arrived, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to make someone clean out under the table, as there was so much spilled food and trash underneath, I couldn't sit without getting garbage & macaroni all over my feet![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bread was left on the table five minutes or more, before we could finally sit and order. Pork chops were like a hockey pucks- dry and tough, (Until tonight pork chop were always my favorite.) Worse, the pulled pork was so heavily spiced and tough, that I couldn't eat it and asked to replace it. They did, but with the same tough, overly spiced, dry pulled pork, I was not given chance to order anything else, so I brought it home washed it several times, then baptized it in barbecue sauce, till it was somewhat edible. This 1st-time visit for my friends was a huge disappointment, and they barely ate half their food, even though Hunter was an attentive & acomodating server (as far as he could be,) but we arrived only an hour after opening, and they were out of baked potatos, so we had to wait quite a while for those and when they arrived they were so buried in salt that we had to wipe them off with napkins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I amcrossing this place off my list of good places to take friends for dinner... too noisy, bad food and tonight's chef seems to be making-do with whatever he hauls off the grill, while management, despite claims, is indifferent to customers complaints about bad food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is I've permanently crossed them off my list of places to dine with friends, because they are just too darned inconsistent. Great prices, love their freshly made rolls...they are very very addicting. Normally their steaks are spot on cooked but my last time I was there it was overcooked. I did have their chilli and the hamburger was overcooked. I told the bar tender and I was hoping she would say we'll take that off your bill since I didn't eat it. First time coming here and well it was good the Berger was good it may have been crazy getting one here but it was good!!! The only bad thing was the wait we got seated quickly and it took a total of 34 min to get our order taken, also a good amount of time to get our food. We stopped by Texas roadhouse on our way home from hiking in Leavenworth. We've been to many Texas road houses in Texas and Utah and were a little nervous about trying one in Yakima, but the service was excellent, the rolls were hot and fresh, the food came in a timely manner, the steaks were cooked to the temperature asked, the ribs fell off the bone and our excellent server (Angelina?) offered us rolls for the road and was very attentive. Let me start off by saying I have been to Texas Road House in a few different places to include Texas. I ordered the steaks and first and foremost was cooked way over done ordered med rare and was med well also ordered med and was well done and very grainy. The baked potato was very salty, the dinner rolls were cold and seemed hard not soft as I expected. When told the waitress, her comment was ( ya we have had issues with the cook for quite a long time now) I for one will never go to Texas road house in Union Gap, Washington ever again Very very unhappy and so are the other 3 people in my dinner party. Coming from Bellevue, I was excited to hear that a Texas Roadhouse was opening here. As busy as it was, for a party of two we got seated fairly quickly. Hostesses were sweet and friendly. Food was alright, ordered 14oz prime rib with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. My carrots were undercooked to a point my fork couldn't even go through. Prime rib was fine. My biggest complaint here was service. A server took our order in the beginning, but we had two other girls check on us during our meal so we weren't sure who exactly was our server when I ordered a Long Island iced tea, they said I had to order it through our server who was nowhere to be found. Cocktail arrived towards the end of my meal, 20-25 mins later. My friend ordered a takeout order early on and that took 30 minutes, after we had finished eating. And another 22 minutes for the rolls because they had apparently ran out even though we can clearly the dine in ones on the counter that servers kept bringing out for their tables. None of our cocktails came with straws, the Togo bag we were given were those big brown grocery paper bags which didn't even fit cause the steak container width was too big. The Long Island iced tea said 5 dollars on the menu yet I was charged 7.50 before tax. same amount as my friends Tito's. Confusing. I understand it's busy with the opening and servers need to adjust to getting used to the rush and flow of the restaurant. Idk how the management is here, whether servers have their own sections or how it works but our dine in experience tonight was confusing, frustrating and just disappointing. read more

Been here twice. The first time was wonderful. Fast service, got our food fast, everything was tasty and we got out of there fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next time we were rushed to order our food, the fries were way undercooked, and they sat us next to another large party and we couldn't even hear the person next to us talk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On top of this, we waited 20+ minutes for them to fix our receipts as they combined our order with the table next to us.
