This place likes to discriminate against families. Deals are only available in the bar area, but families cannot sit in that area. If you want to eat the same food with your family, you're going to be charged basically double the price. AVOID. Brown slime brisket ? I knew it would be bad but this bad? Identical consistency to the infamous McDonald's pink slime chicken nuggets.. I said "this isn't brisket", they replied indeed "it is brisket" it's cut from a large slab of brisket, you can judge for yourself from the pictures. It was clearly processed mixed with additives and then poured into the shape of a brick. The slices were all exactly 1 1/2" x 3" with a thin edge of fat of identical with around the entire perimeter of each slice. I've never seen anything like it, i'm building a shed in my backyard, I think I'll use famous Dave's brisket bricks, it'll at least smell good. read more

Everson is good portions of the family have been doing Atkins or keto, famous Dave's has become much more frequent stop. You got a love a place where meat rains supreme! The place is set up like most chains, friendly people upfront and plenty of seating in the back. As you enter, the bar area is to the right it is separated by a partial wall. It's nice for folks to have a place to sit where the kiddos can only look in. The meat centric menu has plenty of different options ranging from pork, to beef and chicken. Our favorite thing to get is a two or three meat dinner that we can split between a couple of us. The meat portions are not huge, but they're plenty filling. The brisket is always really good, and the pulled pork rarely disappoints. The kids like it because they can get meat along with mac & cheese and small hotdogs. The broccoli here is particularly good, predominantly because they put a lot of butter on it...never something that you'll hear us complain about! Underwhelming once again. New happy hour excludes the best options. The rib tips are super fatty so if you don't like fat and bones, stick with something else. The basket of chips that are made "in house" were made yesterday or at best during lunch (I was there for HH), but they definitely weren't fresh chips as advertised. Unfortunately, Daves BBQ is going downhill without brakes. I hope the best for this national restaurant chain. But unfortunately, it's too expensive with not great BBQ to keep my attention. The service is fine... But beware... if given the chance; the servers will definitely up charge and gouge your wallet any chance they get. Even if it means suggesting food that is more expensive, but not as good... or suggesting any kind of up charge... without telling you it will cost more. Moreover... look at your bill!!! Had a few drinks and some food in bar area on 5/24, my cup was dirty with food frozen to it and I watched the server take off the lid to someone's to go cup fill it up and stir it, they came back with another customers half empty cup of lemonade refilled that and used same spoon to stir it put spoon down on counter and preceded to keep using the same spoon. I recently found myself back at famous Dave's despite my objections. But I went with an open mind and a last chance policy. I did something I didn't expect and didn't order bbq but instead went with a chicken burger. I was shockingly surprised. I enjoyed it enough that I would go back just for that. The server also gave us the tip on how to get more of the awesome pickles at once and we got a bucket of fried pickles raw and not fried. That was a great suggestion.
