The seating area is gorgeous to sit in during the summer, flowers are blooming alongside the tables and the sun hits beautifully along that part of the mountain. They were barely sprinkled with chorizo, and the cheese wasn't evenly melted or layered, so a lot of chips ended up dry. The highlight was the guac -- they don't skimp on it, which we appreciated. Prices were steep, but I guess that's expected at a resort. If you're starving, it'll do the job, but don't expect anything memorable.

We were looking for a spot to grab some lunch after an early season hike of Naches peak loop, and this place was the one we were looking for! For those "uneducated" about very small towns in central southern Washington, Naches is a one such town. Anytime we see a spot that's named after somewhere near us, we generally try to check it out, so imagine our surprise when we came across this magic little hole in the wall. It's very rustic/mountainy feeling inside and out. From the pool table room with dollar bills stapled to the wall, to the old school bar, and the yard out back with extra seating, this place oozes small town charisma! The menu isn't huge, but it was very good! Burgers, chicken, salads, fish 'n chips and some seriously dope cheese curds are all at your fingertips! The drink selection is solid, trends towards a biker bar (not surprisingly), and had some good non-alcoholic options. The woman who took our order, may have helped make everything, and was quick to get our drinks and food out to us. There was a bit of a crowd and she did nice job of taking care of everyone. As a random aside, you should check out the bathrooms and their decor. It's quite a unique spectacle! On a nice day, there are few places nicer than a spot like this. The prices were a little on the higher side, but the selection was incredible. They had the cutest hats, shirts, stickers, keychains, and souvenirs. Lots of local themed merchandise. Some of the Mount Rainier themed merchandise was cuter than the merchandise sold in the shops in the park. They had the cutest little 'Lovers Press' mini red French presses with heart cutouts. All kinds of unique gifts, and a small selection of probiotic sodas. The shop smelled very masculine, as if they were burning a man candle, and the music was very alphabet gang. If I hadn't known better, I would have thought I was in San Francisco. A lot of gift shops and convenience stores in Oregon and Washington are kinda dirty and messy, but this store was California clean. Everything was perfectly curated and arranged. The prices here are (unsurprisingly) high, but there aren't too many options here for a quick bite, so all of the restaurants and eateries on Crystal are a little pricey. Expect to spend 10-15 for a simple lunch. The food was pretty decent! I got chicken tenders and fries, and the portion was more than I could finish. I saw friends who got cheesesteaks and burgers. Everyone enjoyed their food. After such a big meal... fair warning- it's hard to get back on the slopes! Anyway, this is definitely the place to go for a quick lunch after skiing. You don't have many food options anyway, but luckily it's pretty good here!
