New owner. Cold canned food. Long waits.

NEW OWNERSHIP Holy cow this place has gone downhill fast. Nachos for the past 15 years were the highlight of the afternoon until new management came in and ruined a cash cow. All food served was cold and literally out of a bottle. We watched them squirt cold cheese on top literally. 1.5 hours later we got our meals. On top of this experience the host took her job so seriously she yelled at the family of 4 to come back when the other two kids came up from the bathroom. They were moved twice we watched by the same hostess as each family member showed up within 6 minutes. Waitress told us all cheese in the pasta, nachos and sandwiches came from a can. Pasta cheese tasted expired. AVOID AND REPORT IF MEAL LOOKS CONTAMINATED.

After a great ski day, this place was amazing to have some food for the day! We ordered a plate of nachos and the green valley burger! The nachos was delicious and was over in minutes(mostly because we were craving for some food). The green valley burger was one of the best burgers I have had! The patty was yummy! It was soft and the toppings were perfect! It was perfect on the whole! It did come with a side of fries which was soft and tasty and well! They did serve alcohol but we were too tired to drink(since we had a 2 hour drive back to Seattle)! Definitely stop here for a good meal after a ski day!

    Busy day at the bar.

Average ski hill food and typical ski hill prices. Very slow service. Amazing views. Beautiful Lodge.

Apparently there are two ways to secure a table: make a reservation for a specific time and put a deposit down, or put your name on the waitlist. This wasn't really explained to me from the beginning. When our 45 minutes was near, the hostess told me it could be another 45 min because the reservations had priority over me. Huh? Why the two systems? Seemed rather confusing. Fortunately, the hostess recognized my irritation and was able to seat us within a few minutes. The food was hearty and satisfying and the service was decent.

It's just a bunch of food stands you can order/grab from, and you can find your own seats. During weekend lunch hours, it's packed here and very difficult to find seating for groups. There is a lot of variety for food here- sandwiches, pasta, pizza, burger. You just go to what station of food you want and place an order! In some cases, the food is Pre made and you can just grab and go. The prices here are (unsurprisingly) high, but there aren't too many options here for a quick bite, so all of the restaurants and eateries on Crystal are a little pricey. Expect to spend 10-15 for a simple lunch. The food was pretty decent! I got chicken tenders and fries, and the portion was more than I could finish. I saw friends who got cheesesteaks and burgers. Everyone enjoyed their food. After such a big meal... fair warning- it's hard to get back on the slopes! Anyway, this is definitely the place to go for a quick lunch after skiing. You don't have many food options anyway, but luckily it's pretty good here!

Proper Patty ($11) - This burger comes with two smash patties, both of which are heavily salted and somewhat crisped up - the pictures from other people make it seem like they cook long enough to get lacy caramelized edges, but it's not quite to that point. Instead, the burgers, while not moist and fatty, aren't dried out either, and give a great beefy flavor. The burger sauce adds some tangy sweetness, and some pickles on top adds even more sweetness, but a very fresh crunch. It's otherwise pretty standard with the lettuce and tomato. A solid smashburger. (4/5) Fries ($5) - These are fried enough to give a crust on the potatoes, but not enough for the fries to be come crisp. Still, they aren't floppy, so while not entirely crisp, these are still good for eating especially since the insides are nice and fluffy. They are salted a lot, which combined with the salty dip (we went with the Bud's Sauce), equals a parched mouth after eating. I think they actually use a lime salt or something as I can detect a bit of citrus flavor. The Bud's Sauce is a nice mayochup mixture with I think a bit of smokiness from paprika and some chopped onion. It's sweet, tangy, and salty. (4/5) Overall Burger Buds serves some nice classic smashburgers! It's great for a visit while in town for a quick and easy meal.

The young lady was very friendly & attentive, handling the store front & waitressing the restaurant including clearing tables for the next customers. The meal was so filling I had no room for dessert, and I can't wait to cut into one of the baked blackberry pies later. Things I learned is try to visit when it is not tourist season, and make sure you try their little wild blackberry pie, ala mode' of course. I'd even recommend taking a whole pie home, I have not found anywhere that comes close to an old fashion country home baked tiny wild blackberry pie like my mom & several relatives & friends. This is the second year I've made a special drive out to this restaurant, just for the pie, and enjoy the drive out there, really need to leave earlier so I can enjoy more of it including dropping into the Mount Rainier park.
