It's a small café in the back right corner of the Lodge. We grab whatever food with drinks we want to pay at the cash register and go. We were not able to charge our food to our room. They have a captive audience here this is the only food place opened in the park and the prices reflect this Very nice selection of sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, drinks, cheese and desserts. They are opened from six in the morning until nine in the evening. You can take your food to go or enjoy it in the lodge or on tables on the patio. It wasn't inexpensive, the portions were small, but everything was tasty. We shared a chicken chipotle sandwich with a Mediterranean plate and a cheese plate. The Mediterranean plate had an oz of feta, oz of eggplant & 1/4 pita. The cheese plate had 4 crackers, 4 grapes, 1/4 apple, oz Brie & oz of cheddar. Very nice $30 dinner. Nothing has prices, I have no idea how the 3 items totaled $30. Many brought their own wine & picnic baskets, commenting on the prices & small portions.

I'd eat here over the inn restaurant for sure! They do a fantastic iced mocha and an average vanilla latte and London fog. They have prepackaged sandwiches, salads, cereals, chips, candy, bars, and drinks. They have several vegan options (sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and salads) which is really nice. They can sell out of things so your best bet for a large selection is to go in between meal times. Lunch things here are expensive (like $12-$16 salads and sandwiches). They have a pretty large selection of pastries (we thought the best thing of a cinnamon roll, maple donut, cruller donut, and almond croissant was the maple donut and least favorite was the cinnamon roll). There is a lot of seating outside the cafe and everyone working there is really nice.

If you are staying in Paradise Inn or visiting Paradise Visitor Center, this is a great place to get a quick snack or breakfast, tea or coffee. The service is very friendly and fast and menu items are great for a quick snack. They also have small outdoor patio where you can enjoy your meal.

    Yummy peanut butter chocolate bar!

Mountain Goat Coffee was so cute! We visited twice during our stay in Packwood. First off, I loved…read moretheir branding and charming interior, especially the little toadstool table/chairs for kids. They were pretty busy both times, but service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Blackberry Cobbler Cold Brew, which was delightful. They didn't have many non-pork breakfast options, so I tried the Blueberry Chia Cup. I'm just not the biggest fan of chia, so this wasn't my favorite. However, my friend said her breakfast burrito was solid. We returned later in our trip, and I got a Ginger Molasses Cookie. This was delicious! The texture was perfectly chewy and the flavor was great. Overall, worth the visit!

Ambiance: Cute little cafe! It's not too far from the Mt…read more Rainier entrance. There's ample seating inside and outside. It can get pretty packed though since it's the only dine-in cafe in town. There is quite a lot of cute merch in the back & stickers at the front counter. Service: Service was okay. Our orders did come out quick, but if it's packed it'll take a lil while. Food: I came 3 different days and ordered 3 lattes each day (Carmel, marshmallow, and hazelnut). I believe their hot lattes taste a lot better than ordering an iced one. I've had better lattes but this is the closest cafe in the area. Espresso was decent. As for their pastries, their salted double chocolate chip cookies are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! That cookie was the reason we kept coming back.
