We drove to Paradise this morning. During our drive, we chatted about how we wished there was a coffee stand along the way. We saw Rise and Grind shortly after and had to stop. The barista was very nice. We were pleasantly surprised with the delicious and piping hot coffee! read more

The cutest little place! I was in need of coffee while camping on Mount Rainier, so I headed into town and chose Rose & Grind based on the reviews. They have a huge selection, especially considering how small the place is. The employee was really nice and got our order out (2 drinks and a breakfast sandwich) really quickly. I got a butterscotch cappuccino. I was super excited to see butterscotch on the menu because it isn't super common, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. The breakfast sandwich was a Jimmy Dean's sausage egg and cheese-nothing fancy, but just what I needed to start off a day of hiking. It's maybe about 20-30 minutes from the Paradise area of Mount Rainier, but worth it. We even ended up going back again the next day! read more

Great latte and Strawberry/Banana Smoothie. Super friendly owner. If it's a busy weekend or Monday morning, some food items may be out or running low. That's just how things are in the mountain because food service doesn't deliver on the weekends. read more

This place was amazing. I got a large oat milk vanilla latte iced and it was stellar. I like to consider myself a coffee critic and was honestly quite skeptical of this little place but it blew my expectations out of the water. Strong coffee flavor. Only recommendation would be a better oat milk but overall I greatly enjoyed my coffee. This is a must stop before or after a day in the park. Service was excellent and as quick as to be expected at a one manned coffee drive-thru. read more

The iced chai lattes here are so good that I got them 3 days in a row, and got a successively bigger size each time. The iced coffee was a bit too strong for my taste but my husband liked it. Very friendly staff and it's great that they're open early. I love these drive through coffee huts any time I'm in Washington, and this one is worth the stop! read more

Stopped on our way out of Mt Rainier to grab a nice frozen coffee for the road. It's a super small, but adorable drive-thru building right off the road. They didn't seem to have any frozen drinks on their menu, but the lady told us she could make any frozen or blended drink that we wanted. We're big fans of Frappuccino's so we knew we had to get that, but we weren't sure what flavor. The lady was so friendly and helpful and recommended a honeycomb Frappuccino. It had honey, cinnamon, and a couple other things that I can't recall, but wow! It was delicious. Kinda reminded me of a frozen fall drink (which was perfect for the chilly and rainy weather). This place has super good coffee. I always judge a coffee shop by their americano, and Rise & Grind's americano was very good! The chai latte is also delicious. A note: we also got breakfast sandwiches, and I'm 95% sure they are Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Lol. So I maybe don't recommend those. But the coffee is amazing, I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Great little local coffee shop! I was staying at a lodge nearby for a wedding and visiting Mount Rainier, so I was looking on yelp for a local coffee shop. It is not on google maps, so you just have to type in the address. It will take you to a local store/shop and the coffee shop is right past it. It's a drive thru, but I just walked up to the window and ordered. The workers were really nice and friendly. I went here two different days. I got the iced white mocha and the iced black and white. The iced black and white was SO delicious. If I ever come back to Mount Rainier, I will definitely come back to this place. If you're on your way to Mount Rainier, definitely stop by Rise and Grind! read more

I didn't even get through the drive through because it took 30 minutes for the lady to get two cars done.. I was trying to be patient but when I saw her leaned out the window chit chatting with the car in front of me, I lost it and left. Sorry, maybe next time. read more

Great little drive up coffee shop in Ashford. Very friendly service and good quality coffee made quickly. They have two windows and also have some baked goods in addition to their espresso drinks. We had white mocha and coffee with cream and sugar which were both great. Glad to see some coffee so close to the National Park entrance read more

We were in our way out of Mt Rainier to Mt St Helens and needed a stop for coffee and found Rise and Grind on Yelp with 5 star rating! This was a great decision as the service was friendly AND speedy enough to get us on the road quickly. We both had lattes and she even marked mine with a D (for decaf) in case we got them mixed up!
