Fish Bones is a lovely takeout place serving some of the most delicious food in Yakima. I got the three meat combo which comes with fried shrimp, fried chicken wings, fried catfish and sides including collard greens, mac n cheese, and candied yams. I also got the peach cobbler. Good LORD this food is good. Not a single item was disappointing. Each bite of the fried items was delightfully crispy and flavorful albeit on the salty side. The meat was tender and juicy. THE SIDES. You need to drop this phone and try these sides. These collard greens were smoky and unctuous with pork flavor. The baked Mac n cheese was very satisfying. THE CANDIED YAMS. No disrespect to the chicken or catfish but the candied yams were my favorite thing of the entire ensemble. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Henry beauchamp community center. It is easy to miss but so worth going out of your way for. I'd say the biggest downside is this food is heavy and disrespectful of the rest of your day. You WILL fall asleep within 5 minutes of finishing your meal.
