We came here really excited for a seafood boil, my sister, nieces, my husband, and I, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The biggest issue was the flavor. Everything was very bland and tasted like it had little to no seasoning. Even the melted butter tasted like plain, unsalted butter, which didn't add much. The texture was also inconsistent. My lobster tail was rubbery and hard to eat, while my husband's was a bit better. We all ordered crab and shrimp, and overall it seemed overcooked and not well seasoned. The staff was kind and friendly, which we appreciated. However, we weren't checked on much and weren't really asked how the food was. The atmosphere was cute and had a nice vibe, but unfortunately the food didn't match the experience we were hoping for. read more

One of the best seafood boils I've ever had! Got the medium spicy Cajun seasoning which is what they're known for. The sauce was sooooo flavourful and matched well with any seafood. The Cajun fries were amazing too. They also have a great variety of interesting alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The ambiance is super cute and makes you feel like you're under the sea. The waiters were also very nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back if I ever visit Yakima again! read more

We love this place mainly because it's the best one that has seafood boils we only go to get those love the Cajun! I do have to say thou ever since they moved to there new location the portions are less but nothing to crazy drastic I did order last time more potatoes because our boil only came with one and she brought me the smallest potato cut in half and I think that was 3-5$ / I do NOT recommend this place if it's your bday or anyone's and your tryna have a good time they don t do anything special for bdays and I do have to say the girls who work there are a bit mean an snobby at times I get there stressed but it shows last time we went we were still eating and they were basically kicking us out we were gonna do a cake we ended up taking it home because atmosphere wasn't right they didn't have anyone waiting and there was empty tables so we weren't taking up space but it sure felt like we had, those are the only downsides besides that food pretty good drinks are also good read more

Wacky Crab Shack is by far my highest rated restaurant on my list to visit in Yakima, the food is always so fresh, tasteful, and made to perfection, the servers are always on time, and have great personalities. What a pleasant surprise this place was! We found it simply by searching as we drove through Yakima on our way to Tacoma, on Thursday, last. The single server was pushed to her limit to handle our large group of 8, but she did a wonderful job. The menu was as varied as any we have seen in Mexico, and whoever was preparing the food was spot on. It was great, and I am picky. Great sea food boil. Our family went there for the first time last night. Everyone enjoyed the food including our 8 year old grandson except he didn't like to take the shrimp heads off. New dining venue for the old Kemper's turned Thai and now the Wacky Crab Shack. New owners offer seafood and Thai options. I enjoyed watching other diners work through the plethora of seafood that was served to them on a big sheet pan. At our table, I enjoyed the butterflies and friends seemed to like their chicken wings. Husband gave a thumbs up to his yellow curry and the pad thai I ordered was good, but I have had better. Friends regretted their choice. They shared a Thai Hot Pot not understanding they'd have to cook their own meal. They made do, but would have preferred to have a quality visit with us than manage their food. It's nice to have another Thai option in Yakima, but it seems like a very good place to come if you want a pile of seafood to sort through, shell, and consume. read more

The outside might not look like much but the interior is very posh with seashells and ocean decor, making you feel like you're near the sea. Food is tasty and cute but overpriced. I was very disappointed in how small and scrawny the snowcrab legs were. I paid alot less for bigger snowcrabs elsewhere (Captain Crab/Red Lobster, etc). This place is very nice inside the waitress was also very friendly, but our order took about an hour to come out and the food was cold. I had a shrimp and fish Taco and they were pretty flavorless. They also only put 2 shrimp per taco sliced in half to make it look like it's 4 shrimp. I honestly was not able to taste the shrimp at all it was more like a cabbage taco to be honest. The fish taco was also more batter than fish very disappointing. And to top it off their "fresh hand made tortillas" were stale and broke in half on both my tacos. I am very dissatisfied with my first experience and would definitely not recommend the tacos. The prices on the seafood boil also looked way over priced but I won't knock it till I try it. read more

It appears clean. Pleasant atmosphere. The pre mix was off for the drink and it taste pretty bad. I ended up just drinking water. Before the meal, they serve chips and salsa, which taste good. The were out of Carne Asada, so I had to choose something different. I chose shrimp taco and fish taco. Both were mediocre, at best. I ate the shrimp taco, however I couldn't stomach the fish taco. It didnt taste like fish to me and it had a very spicy sauce on it. I typically don't leave reviews, but I was just disappointed with flavor and it just was not satisfying. There was one waitress working so it was difficultto get her attention. I know this was certainly not her fault. I live out of town, but work in Yakima 1 week a month. I won't be back during my next trips. Sadly, I cannot give this a stellar review. read more
