Amazing! Can't believe I wrote my first review of Don Chayo 5 years ago! These are my fav tacos in town. Asada and adobado are my top two. Great flavor and quality. Love the salsas especially the peanut based one. Creamy and a nice spice. If you are hungrier, can't go wrong with a burrito. Beyond the food, the people running it are amazing, super friendly. Had a great dining experience here. Lilia was lovely and the food was delicious. Very simple, very flavorful! Had carne asada and chicken tacos and carnitas quesadilla. All were excellent and of course you have to throw on some cilantro, onions and a sauce. They offered lemon, but there was no lime. I probably should have asked. Would have also liked to see some pico de gallo, but I got there after the lunch rush so may have been used already. But overall, no complaints! It was delicious as ordered! read more

Just tried this taco guy for the first time. The man taking the orders and money is very nice. The menu is small but that's fine because, well...it's a taco stand. I was tempted to get a burrito, but my original plan was to just buy tacos so that's what I did. I bought 2 asada and 2 carnitas tacos. The asada was phenomenal, and the carnitas was pretty good also. I always go with hot salsa on my food, and theirs was very good and spicy Tacos are currently $2 each, which is a little high considering there are other places in town where you can buy them for $1.50 or even $1 each. It's super close to where I work at the airport, though, so I was fine paying that much. I didn't check out the prices on anything else. read more

We tried the spotted at the recommendation of my younger brother. From henceforth we will be following his recommendations when it comes to delicious food truck food. This place is operated by a lovely older couple and some other children and is so good that you'll just want to go give them hugs when you're doing! We wished for a place like this in Iowa, and now, we must visit Mariano and his family every chance we get! This spot is located just off Washington on 28th. It's a simple setup with a truck where they make up some boss tacos and a fixins station located nearby. All the tacos are Street style and cost $1.25 per delicious entree! everything is kept very simple with meat, cilantro and a little bit of onion. They let you dress it up however you like with raddish, jalapenos and some delicious salsas. Other options include a 5 dollar burrito that's about the same size as your forearm or a delightful quesadilla with meat on it for $2. All in all, this is one of those must try places when you are in town. If you live here, it may very well become one of your favor places. It is not surprising that this place exists in a town where there so much good Mexican food! read more

Tacos are okay when I got carnitas I would not recommend that meat the meat was really fatty & gross I ended throwing them away definitely not what I was hopeing for when I ordered really disappointing ruined our taco night won't be back I also got beef and pork tacos they where ehh nothing great to say but if ur looking for a delicious taco look els where!!! read more

Staff is very friendly. Taco truck (trailer) is clean and well-advertised. And prices are fair. I tried the asada tacos and a soda. I got to choose which salsa I recurved which is a plus. Asada meat was delicious. Definitely will go back when I'm in the area. read more

Great little taco spot near the airport. Simple menu with the essentials: tacos, tortas, burritos, quesedillas. The quality is very good and ingredients are fresher than many of the spots in the yakima area. If you're a fan of heat I would deff try the green sauce. read more

Mariano has the best tacos in town! At $1.50/taco, its a good deal. Adobada and asada are classics and impossible to go wrong with! He's got several different salsa options, but remember - green is hot! I love spicy and find the green to be perfect, but many will find it too spicy. You can also get onions, radish cilantro, and jalapenos on your taco, which are a must! I'm personally a huge fan of the burritos....they may be the best deal in town at $5! You can Mariano at this location most of the time, but occasionally he takes the truck down to the farms during harvest! read more

Awesome little taco stand. Very clean and they are building a building to start serving out of. I was in Yakima for a short time and thought I would get something to eat at the airport. Simply fantastic! The food was simple and authentic. After you receive the food you can add what you would like from the topping options. I put plenty of cilantro and onions on my carne asada tacos as well as a good amount of the green sauce. I was warned that the green sauce was very spicy, this warning made me happy and I plopped more on. He wasn't kidding, the green sauce was very very hot. I don't do reviews very often, but today I was disappointed in the taste of the torta I had ordered. First of all I had ordered a polio torta with no onions, and it was loaded with onions so I had to pull them out of the pile of lettuce. The bread was huge and when I took the top off to remove the onions there was one small slice of tomato on the side of the bun. The meat hardly had any flavor the whole sandwich in general was very dry. My first experience with the food here unfortunately was not a good one. read more

Seriously fantastic tacos, quesadillas and of course the legendary burrito! Prices are cheap, food is so good, and the folks that run it are SOO nice. Definitely give the green sauce a try, but taste a drop of it first before pouring it all over your food, it's incredibly spicy. For a medium/hot heat, try the red sauce. The creamy red sauce is really good too, a bit more subtle spice for those who don't like super spicy food. Can't say enough how great the food is! read more

This is the best taco truck in yakima! Everything they have is delicious and the stand is nice and clean. Almost everyday I grabbed some lunch from here before school because i t was so good! Damn good burritos. I make every Wednesday, burrito Wednesday because I work nearby. Make sure to go inside to load up on toppings and hot sauce. Be careful with the green sauce though. I get a vegetarian burrito every time I stop. I highly recommend this place. read more
