Carnitas & Asada tacos. Delicious!
Angeline C.

One of the best street tacos I've ever had.. and I've tried plenty of places! Super soft corn tortillas but grilled to perfection. Makes the bites easy and not a grainy texture. They pack each taco with plenty of meat and topped with delicious radish, cucumber, pickled carrot, lime. Presentation was on point & clean. I want to dine in next time! That bus is too cool!

Holy moly! Taqueria Rolly's is BOMB.com their shrimp and beef cheesy fries touched me. Large portions, authentic, and fresh. 10/10 recommend.

We came across this little gem after a night of crappy Chinese food at Safeway, just next-door. It's a delightfully re-purposed bus and sits outside a gas station... Brilliant! As previously stated, the Mexican food in town has really upped our appreciation for this genre. True to form however, They deliver some delicious dishes that are Very good and a couple that are unique enough that I will keep you coming back. The newest addition to our Yakimex favorites is the Mulita - a dish that seems squarely directed at millennials as it is affectively quesadilla with meat and avocado, slightly grilled on each side! It is magnificent! We also had a side of tacos, the best of which was Pollo (chicken), surprisingly. The sope was also legit and just right to share! Options including the brilliant idea of making Asada nachos with Doritos... I will let that sink in for a second. Yes, Doritos as the base. We did not try them, but we're very excited too! They also had beef and shrimp fries as well as Asada fries. This is the sort of place that a football team needs to go after a game, or the night before, to carb load! The food was awesome, but perhaps the best part wasA physical boss that they were serving everything out of. We found out about halfway through that you could actually go inside said bus and eat! We took a little tour inside, and the place is really cool. It actually is slightly reminiscent of a diner with just a splash of 70s as the roof is very reflective. There's a surprising amount of room when you take out all the seeds, and it makes it so there's no excuse to not go here on a day when it's raining - though we have 300+ sunny days per year here! All in all, this place is a total homerun! The food was awesome, the ladies working here we're really nice, you get to eat at picnic tables, and a bus or get it to go, and if you don't like the drinks, you can go into the gas station next-door and grab something. Gas station food that's awesome is always high on my list - gas station parking lot food that's awesome is right there with it!

This is on the corner of 56th Ave and Summitview Ave. Its right next to the chevron gas station and near Safeway. It's inside of a huge bus and you can order form one of the windows. They have a couple tables set out too to eat at. Anyways the food itself was great! I got 2 vegetable burritos and some chicken sopes and they all tasted amazing. They also gave me plenty of salsa verde and rojo to go with, not to mention some pickled carrots and jalapeños. Everything seemed fresh and tasty. My sopes were hot and freshly made. This is so close to my house I'll be coming here often.

Came on a lovely late spring day. We had our dog with us and they let us sit on the patio, which…read morewas nice. They even brought out an umbrella to keep us a bit shaded from the sun. They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.

We ordered from the lunch menu offered Monday-Friday. What a great deal! We both ordered the Carne Asada plate for just under $16! The kids menu was also affordable at $6.50. Unheard of nowadays.. and plenty of food on top of that. Perfectly seasoned and cooked meat. We'll for sure be back. Highly recommend!

The Mexican food here is reliably solid, starting with the complimentary salsa, Mexican curtido…read more(cabbage slaw), and chips--a great way to ease into the meal. The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch. The restaurant is medium sized with adequate parking out front, and if things get busy, there's plenty of overflow in the adjacent Fred Meyer lot. The restaurant is in the middle of the strip mall just north of Fred Meyer. My spouse ordered the Avocado Tostada, which was generously sized and clearly delicious--he ate more than usual. It came with rice and refried beans, both well prepared. I used to order the Cheese/Onion Enchilada plate, which includes two enchiladas plus rice and beans, and I'd always end up taking half home (never quite the same reheated). Since my appetite is smaller, I now ask for just one cheese/onion enchilada on its own. The staff never blinks at the request, and my husband happily shares a bit of his refried beans with me. My meal was perfection. Definitely worth checking out. It's not the most extraordinary Mexican food in the area, but it's always very good--better than we can make at home--and that's why we keep coming back.

I was visiting Yakima and was recommended this restaurant and thought I'd give it a try…read more Unfortunately our experience wasn't the best. There were three of us dining, and when our food came out, only two meals were delivered. We waited patiently and a second server came and noticed we had not received our third meal. He went to the kitchen and had conversation with the staff, and one of the servers had delivered our third meal to another table so two of us only had our dinner and we started to eat. One of the guests in our party went to open their burrito, and there was no meat in it, and it was specifically a beef burrito. Another server came again took the burrito back to the kitchen, and it was the wrong order. They made a new burrito and by this time the third entrée came out so we essentially all ate our dinner at different times because they were not delivered at the same time which was awkward. When the bill came the one entrée that was delivered correctly was overcharged and there was no mention of an up charge for a cream sauce on the enchilada. I questioned the server and she explained that the cream sauce was more expensive. I have no problem with an upcharge if it's listed on the menu. The prices at this restaurant are a little high. The food was just OK. I shared my experience with the person that recommended this restaurant and they were shocked as they dine in there regularly. I hope this was just an off night for them, but based on my experience, I would not return.
