This is how a taco truck should be. Ok, ok, ok. So, I'm a bit of a taco truck connoisseur. I would totally bypass a hip and trendy Mexican restaurant for some succulent taco truck food. Now this taco truck was a post-fly fishing stop, and I'm glad we stopped here. I had a beef torta, two lengua tacos with home made tortillas, and a guava Jarrito. Ok, did you see what I typed: "home made tortillas"! The torta was alright. I've had better, but the freakin' tacos were the bomb (sorry to go last century on you, but dang!). The lengua seasoning was on point. The tortillas & meat was the perfect combo--I should have just ordered tacos-only. This may be one of my favorite taco trucks yet.

Ordered three tacos from this stand and waited for almost 20 minutes. That already was a big negative since you'd expect they would sling tacos out like nothing, considering the kinda of crowd that was there when I arrived. I ended up getting cabeza (head), lengua (tongue), asada (beef), and Al pastor (pork w/ pineapple). I wanted to try cabeza and lengua especially because I've never had them and it look like a legit spot to get them. The lengua was good, beefy and kinda chewy; it was my favorite. The cabeza was stringy and fatty; my least favorite. The asada was standard, have had better. The Al pastor was pretty good but nothing I haven't had before. The salsas were homemade but kinda bland. The green is very spicy (you've been forewarned) compared to the red. The homemade tortillas are what make the tacos, but ultimately having to wait so long for the food was the downfall from making this a 4 star review.

Two beef tacos and a pork burrito.

Very good beef tacos with delicious homemade tortillas and a nice condiment bar with fresh cabbage, lines, cilantro and salsas ranging from mild to wild. My burrito was stuffed with pork, rice, cabbage and tasted really good. Several tables outside, which could use a good washing town. Definitely some authentic food popular with the locals and really cheap for the good food and generous servings. We ridded one too many burrito, however because we were too stuffed to eat another bite.

My go to taco truck when in the Yakima area. With one of the hottest salsas you will ever find. Cheap tacos for $2 a piece. I would recommend 3 tacos for a good lunch. You can add rice & beans for another $2. They only take cash so come prepared. If you don't the carnicería next door has one. The aqua stand next to the taco truck is a must stop too. Try the horchata Fresca it's so good and you can't find it anywhere else.

These tacos right here though, these tacos right here....OMG! You got to try these tacos! Their tacos are so good and so authentic! There's a fresh juice stand right next door that serves fresh Jamaica, pineapple, horchata...the prices are very reasonable both.

For scale these chicharones were maybe 3 square feet each and obviously fresh when I saw the butcher slice one with a razor.

Bigger than average handmade tortillas (single layer, but one fresh in the hand is worth two off the factory floor). Freshest, finest asst of onions cilantro, cabbage I've ever seen; self serve. Like cilantro? Pile it on. I was dissappointed with the lack of carnitas until I tasted the adobado pork; moist perfectly marinated, spicier than most, perfect to my tastes. Asada and cabesa were also very good. Jen loved the lengua taco, but said anything wrapped in those tortillas would be fine. I just hope that Fiesta Foods doesn't drive this place under. The area can obviously support a fair number of relatively low quality stands and shops so I think they'll be fine. The taco stand is attached to a particularly nice carniceria/panaderia. Beautifully butchered meats and some craZy huge chicharone slabs.

Delicious! We had the beef, tongue, and cheek tacos. All 3 were spot on. You can tell the tortillas were homemade. Beef was flavorful and just the right amount of crisp. Fresh topping selections: radish, cabbage, lime, onions, and sauces. Cash only. P.S. The drink place next door has good horchata.

That was a darn good taco. Think that will be my new grab-food-on-way-to-work joint if I have cash (no credit cards)

Came on a lovely late spring day. We had our dog with us and they let us sit on the patio, which…read morewas nice. They even brought out an umbrella to keep us a bit shaded from the sun. They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.

The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch. The restaurant is medium sized with adequate parking out front, and if things get busy, there's plenty of overflow in the adjacent Fred Meyer lot. The restaurant is in the middle of the strip mall just north of Fred Meyer. My spouse ordered the Avocado Tostada, which was generously sized and clearly delicious--he ate more than usual. It came with rice and refried beans, both well prepared. I used to order the Cheese/Onion Enchilada plate, which includes two enchiladas plus rice and beans, and I'd always end up taking half home (never quite the same reheated). Since my appetite is smaller, I now ask for just one cheese/onion enchilada on its own. The staff never blinks at the request, and my husband happily shares a bit of his refried beans with me. My meal was perfection. Definitely worth checking out. It's not the most extraordinary Mexican food in the area, but it's always very good--better than we can make at home--and that's why we keep coming back.

There were three of us dining, and when our food came out, only two meals were delivered. We waited patiently and a second server came and noticed we had not received our third meal. He went to the kitchen and had conversation with the staff, and one of the servers had delivered our third meal to another table so two of us only had our dinner and we started to eat. One of the guests in our party went to open their burrito, and there was no meat in it, and it was specifically a beef burrito. Another server came again took the burrito back to the kitchen, and it was the wrong order. They made a new burrito and by this time the third entrée came out so we essentially all ate our dinner at different times because they were not delivered at the same time which was awkward. When the bill came the one entrée that was delivered correctly was overcharged and there was no mention of an up charge for a cream sauce on the enchilada. I questioned the server and she explained that the cream sauce was more expensive. I have no problem with an upcharge if it's listed on the menu. The prices at this restaurant are a little high. The food was just OK. I shared my experience with the person that recommended this restaurant and they were shocked as they dine in there regularly. I hope this was just an off night for them, but based on my experience, I would not return.
