Xochimilco Margarita w/shaker. Plenty of alcohol!
Angeline C.

I wanted to check out this place for awhile and finally got a chance today. It's a dark lit restaurant but definitely sets the date night vibe. I didn't mind it. I did take a star off because we got sat at a booth with super outdated and cracked booth seats. It was pretty uncomfortable to sit on. I'm sure this establishment can afford to renovate run-down booths. Other than that, my Xochimilco Margarita was amazing!! Great size and came with additional shaker full of margarita. We literally got three drinks out of it. I ordered the steak fajitas and it was the best fajitas I have ever had! Meat had an adobo-like seasoning.. it was so flavorful! And rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole & tortillas were all included. Love their huge portions! Definitely coming back and trying other dishes!

Came by in hopes of a quiet corner to eat a cozy dinner. We were first brought to the bar without even asking if we wanted the bar. When we asked for the restaurant, they put us in the very first booth where everyone walked past. Maybe some people wouldn't mind that, but for us, it was uncomfortable. The food was overpriced for the quality and quantity. The man's mole had a very small portion of chicken in it for how much sauce was on the plate. The salsas weren't our favorites, and the chips tasted stale. Overall, it was disappointing.

Gabriel was stellar in suggestions (drinks and food) it's hot as Gehenna fire in Yakima this summer add a mask and beating hot pavement where spaced out tables sit and it makes for a miserable lunch. However the food and service and quality of beverages still merit 5-stars. Never been here before but I was impressed.

We decided to venture here on a Friday evening when we all had a hankering for some Mexican food and were celebrating our 4 year old learning to count to 10 in Spanish - certainly a dinnerable accomplishment! Located on the backside of Glenwood square and was a solid spot for dinner. The fish tank in front of the restaurant was a hit right off the bat as well as after dinner. The restaurant is a bit dimly lit buy it sets the ambiance nicely. It can be either romantic-ish or a family place. The ladies taking care of us were very friendly and attentive as well. We started with mojitos and margaritas. All were excellent and the margaritas were HUGE! Double if not triple the norm. The beer selection was nice and included a good number of local brews, most of which trended towards hoppy. The food was excellent - my best half had fajitas, which were boss. I had the mole de oaxaca - their version of mole and it was delicious. Slightly smokey, a bit of kick and 100% delicious. Little dudes split a burrito, which was more than enough for a 2 and 4 year old. The chimichanga was very good as was the pollo de crema. All in all, this place is a win. It has the appearance of a chain restaurant from the outside, but the flavors are very authentic. Well worth checking out for a trending towards upscale Mexican food experience.

All I can say is this is NOT Mexican food. Tasteless, cold, flies. Haven't a clue why anybody would recommend.

Have not tried the food at Xochimilco I have only been there for drinks in the lounge. The margaritas are fantastic. But a bit pricey

The decor is delightfully springtime in France. It's very welcoming and fun. There's not a ton of seating here, but they can accommodate groups of up to about six or eight, and have lots of seating for between two and five. We seated quickly by a very nice waitress. Upfront, they have a case with all of their desserts in them. These ranges from chocolate mousse and crème brûlée to tiramisu and eclairs. Pretty much something for everybody! The food here was very good! A couple of us had sandwiches, my wife and I shared a salad, we shared a small meat and cheese tray, and also a crêpe. Everything was very good! They had some legitimate French cheeses and the dessert options were quite solid. The only thing that kept this place from being a true five was the baguette. Making true French baguettes is a tall order, and while these were good, it was really the only place that we were left wanting a little bit. Overall, though, this place is a solid option and the sort of spot that we will be back to!

This is the second location in town, the first being at 40th and Summitview. The folks here have put together what may be the best set up in the area. As with the first location, they serve beer, wine, coffee and a few small bites here as well as pastries and gelato. Inside there is seating for 20 or so, with some couches and nice large tables. Outside is an awesome set up with four or five large tables with umbrellas. This is the perfect place to sit outside, sip on a craft brew that was grown in town and watch your kids play on the giant lawn area outside. It is seriously what Starbucks was never able to do with the space! It definitely is not the factory that Starbucks is, so it can take a little bit longer to get your beverage and array is not quite as wide, but for those who are looking for a good local spot, this is it! The gelato is solid though a little expensive. They tend to run specials once a week or so (i.e. Thursday's are but one get one free night) so it's worth the trip at least once in a while! The place just opened so as they work the kinks out, this is likely to become a go to place in town! Its so nice to see the proliferation of local business and this is no exception. It's a perfect place to take the kids so they can run around and you can grab a drink, caffeinated or otherwise!

Came on a lovely late spring day. We had our dog with us and they let us sit on the patio, which…read morewas nice. They even brought out an umbrella to keep us a bit shaded from the sun. They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.
