The pizza was absolutely delicious! The guy who took our order was super nice and seemed like he really cared about making sure everything was right with my pizza. I came in starving, and they had the food ready in under 20 minutes (I think--I'm terrible with time!). Overall, the atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean, and the food was amazing. The only thing I noticed was that a few employees weren't wearing gloves, but honestly, it didn't bother me much. There are plenty of ways to maintain good food safety practices, and everything looked clean and well taken care of. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others! read more

MOD Pizza - Pizza! - Fast Food Near Me - University Place, Washington

Crazy that there is literally no one inside and the lady said that she is making three pizzas so there's gonna be a wait for me to place an order and there's like three employees at least. You knew you messed up when I walked out the door and I didn't even wanna argue with y'all. I'm just starving so I went to five guys right next to this place. Crazy that people don't wanna work. SMH ‍ By the way, I saw after I left, I saw some Caucasians walk in and they were served immediately. Insane. read more

This is my "go to" place when I want a personal size quick pizza. Price is reasonable and it includes unlimited toppings. I order online and when I arrive it is always ready. I signed up for their rewards program and get a free drink or dessert from time to time. Not gourmet pizza but it will get you your fix! Inside is clean and modern with nice decor for a fast food place. read more

They need to where gloves and not burn pizza- the service was kind he explained pizza size no bigger due to the oven

The person at the make counter was horrible, the restaurant was busy and I get that, I did food service for years. I saw the backlog and politely said I just need to order some garlic bread (our salads were already ordered), "it's gonna be a bit". I stood there for a bit, joked about the slogan on her coworkers back and said it should say something more Mod'esque"....."I don't make the shirts" and kept working. Grabs our salads and slams a make bowl under the counter with a clang, shouts out the name and says they're ready, yah I made my exit and gave up at that point. Oh, and besides her blue hair and being covered in ink from head to toe, she had a blue nose ring and the grossest most dirty yellow mod had I've ever seen. Not a dusting of flour and a smudge or two, but health department write up level grosses read more

I love MOD Pizza so much, but the UP location is astonishingly awful! Service is so comically bad, I took an out of town visitor there just to show him how rude the staff is. They did not disappoint, my friend was amazed. The pizza is typically a 6 outta 10 and the rudeness of the staff is consistently a 10/10. It's so bad that it's funny, like a Seinfeld episode. I live in walking distance to this location, but when I want MOD, I get in the car (ugh) and drive to literally any other location where the food is better & the staff isn't so mean. read more

Consistently inconsistent :( Some days my pizza is BOMB, and perfectly cooked and other days I have no toppings and burnt, inedible pizza. There isn't really an in between. If you order online your pizza barely has any toppings vs. ordering in store and watching your pizza being made. $20 for a burnt pizza and a drink hurts my feelings when I throw the pizza in the garbage (': read more

Pretty standard MOD Pizza. Didn't have to wait long and the space inside is large and clean. Parking is just a small hassle.

So incredibly slow. Worker was talking to my group about random things instead of doing their job and getting our food ready. It was an extremely long wait in line for us being the only people in the store. It took them almost 10 minutes per person. read more

Terrible pizza tonight. Super salty as we both did the build your own. We ordered online and their site says 808 it would be ready , clearly they were behind and never bothered to let us know, they told us oh it's going to 10-15 minutes, it was more like 30!! We've been here once before and it was good, tonight seems like though could care less! And they aren't friendly to the customers, they look like they don't want to work there or at all! They don't know what true customer service is!! read more

MOD Pizza has terrible service that serves subpar pizza. There was only 6 people inline and it took them 20 minutes just to take our orders since they were busy with to-go orders. The staff were arguing with each other and generally very unhappy. Overall a terrible experience and I won't be back. read more

Consistent food and ample seating. Always a spot for a big family to sit. Plenty of high chairs for young children. MOD is always pretty fast so you can't complain about that. It's not gourmet, or the best pizza I've had by any means... But it's better than Pizza Hut and the like. It's in our restaurant rotation, and is our go to spot with kids. There's an ice cream shop across the street, and the library is right there too; makes for the perfect weekend outing. read more

The pizza and salads are always good. I sometimes get pick up, sometimes get delivery, I've never dined in. When you walk in you're blindly acknowledged but if you're doing a pick up and are waiting I've felt pretty invisible, even an 'ohey, I'll be right with you' would be good at least. They do get super busy and you can tell the staff is working hard and fatigued. I think a few more hands would be good to have as the staff can get a little dry and less friendly. I have no real complaints and I'll definitely keep coming back. From observations while I'm waiting, there does seem to be some dine-in inconsistency for timing of some people getting their orders while others are waiting. I think with how busy they are, that can't really be avoided. read more

Really disappointed. Seemed very low staffed, cheese is barely melted. I ordered the same pizza a few weeks ago it was good. Seemed like the worker was in a hurry to get done with the pizza so she could take a call outside. I feel like I have to go home and cook this longer now. read more

First time having Mod pizza and was disappointed in the quality of the pizza and the garlic bread. Very low quality. Not much flavor including the crust. The garlic bread is the pizza crust LOL. It was not the kind of garlic bread pizza places normally serve. Customer service was lacking. (Referring to the young lady at the front counter). Typical attitude of younger people these days. read more

I have no idea how this place gets 4 stars. This was my first experience ordering their pizza. There was very little flavor to the sauce, cheese and ingredients. Two of the slices didn't even have cheese on them, and the sauce is almost flavorless. I had heard so many good things about MOD but was very disappointed with their pizza. Now their chocolate shake on the other hand was fantastic! read more

This was my first time trying Mod Pizza... I have heard amazing things about this place, so my husband decided to get take out. I had a GF crust with red sauce, feta, pineapple and Can. Bacon and he had a thin crust with red sauce, sausage, ground beef, and pep. Neither one of us were very impressed.... HOWEVER.... I have heard that this is one of those places that is best to eat at, or order and take it to go (but eat super quick so it's fresh). My husband was running late (he ordered online coming from Green River), so I think our order had been sitting a bit- hopefully why it was cold and very dry. The toppings and sauce was very minimal (not sure if things began to evaporate... I didn't think he was that late)... BUT we are willing to give Mod another try- in house of course :) I saw someone get a pizza on Sunday that looked delicious, so hopefully we will have a review update to 5 stars in a few weeks :) I do really love that they offer a variety of cheeses (even the vegan), and not only a GF crust, but also a cauliflower crust, which I plan to try next time. The GF crust they use is pretty good though... and that can make or break a pizza for me. I am hoping for a hotter, fresher, and fuller pizza next time. Looking forward to our next visit :) read more

MOD Pizza - Mine in the front... Hubs in the back.... - Fast Food Near Me - University Place, Washington

Fast thin-crust pizza. Good tasting, but service is so poor. The young man with the long brown hair was indifferent, almost rude. I didn't know how the Mod menu system worked, so does he need to be impatient and contradictory because of that? Not a way to treat a customer. read more

Yeah, I mean. It's MOD. So it's not luxury pizza, but it isn't trash, either. It's made to order, and they do a good job. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients (though I have eaten at MOD before, it's just good to get good ingredients, of course). read more

I like going here because the pizza is good but the past couple times The same female employee has been just outright rude. The guy who made my pizza was great but the female employee that was working during the time was rude and glaring at us the entire time. The past couple times I have come in I was met with the same attitude from this employee. If this was a one and only situation I would understand but this has become more consistent and makes it harder for me to go here. The pizza is great but the overall attitude of the female employee has been unnecessary and rude. read more

The food, as usual, was fantastic. Made to order, hot, and yummy. What made this experience even better was the worker who took the order and made our food. Mr. McLean, your friendly attitude and helpful demeanor really brought this above and beyond a normal eating experience. read more

I always love MOD pizza. We stopped in for some lunch and ate outside. Three of us had pizzas and one had salad. Everything was great but I would say it was a little tough for our little one to eat the pizza as it is crispy and a bit harder than she is used to. Not a problem of MOD's though, that is just the type they make. I never have a problem at and always find their ingredients fresh and delicious. read more

Ok do I have to start by saying that I low expectations on this place. Not so much because if what I heard, but because I'm from New York and we expect certain things for pizza. I have pretty much given up on anything resembling to it out here. But since I'm back on a diet, I was told that this place has a good cauliflower crust pizza. So here I go...lol. first off, I really don't like cauliflower anything but this pizza with all the meats and cheeses came out pretty good. I did like how they prepare it in an open oven so as to give it an almost east coast touch. The flavors were good and the crust thin so I was pleased. The girls that were working there were very friendly and helpful. It helps that they were not cheap with the toppings either ( you know just putting on the bare minimum type ) So for parents looking to eat healthy and not get rid of your pizza, this is great.. just don't tell the kids that it's a different crust.lol About the place.. as you walk in they have a line so that you can have your pizza prepared the way you want. Like an assembly line style. The place was really clean and we'll kept. Plenty of seating and open space. The parking is street parking but they also have a parking garage across the street. The only negative I will say is that it looked like they were training a new girl and not really letting her try to do anything except hand people things. Not explaining anything so the poor girl looked lost. Other than that it was a great place to eat. read more

very slow, the employees only speaking With their selfs and don't care about customers orders

I have always been a fan of MOD. The first pizza I got was burnt on the bottom and when I called I couldn't get through to anyone. I understand that they were very busy, but being a customer and tended too would have nice. The second time was a bit better as I made sure to check my crust. This time pizza was much better. I however won't return if not fully satisfied. read more

They serve beer and a few wines. The pizza is really good. I prefer to go with make your own. The pizzas are fresh and really good, 11" personal pizza hits the spot. They also have outdoors seating. In University Place this is a great stop. The staff was friendly and polite. Figure they don't pour much beer lots of foam and plastic cup. Come on Man. Cheers! read more

Pizza: soft crusty, bland cheese, over-reliance on unusual toppings rather than just getting the basics right. Service: disorganized crew of teenagers who can barely take the order correctly. They asked me three times if I wanted my pizza to go. More training is what they need. Ambiance: stark, cold, empty warehouse. McDonald's is more inviting. Music is intrusive. Corporate chic. This is food court pizza conceived in a boardroom of executives intent on making money, not good food. read more

This spot makes delicious Pizza, but is often understaffed and has a hard time meeting demand on Friday's/weekends. In line right now waiting for a Pizza that should have been ready 20 minutes ago and they told me it's going to be another 10 before it's ready (no apology or offer for discount).... I came back to this post and edited because they made me wait a half hour then canceled my order! They literally said they "ran out of FROZEN dough" and will refund me.
