I'm giving this place 5 stars even though it's been inconsistent. Because when the pizza is good it's really good. Service is also always friendly and they're fast. Plus love to support local shops over big chains (I know this is not their only location but I just mean it's not dominos or Pizza Hut) For the record I have only had from their pepperoni pizza and cinnastix consistently. The first time I had their pizza around a year ago I was not very impressed by it but I was blown away by their cinnamon sticks. Best ever. I didn't order from them again til 2 weeks ago because it's so close to our house and again, wanted to support local and I didn't plan on eating it anyways. I was ordering it for kids. For a large pepperoni and cinnamon sticks. BUT THIS TIME the pizza was AMAZING!!! I'm talking perfect. I couldn't believe how much it had improved. Last night I ordered from the deals menu (amazing deals) 3 items $7.99 each. Cheapest way to order what we were getting. 2 medium pep and an order of bone in buffalo wings. The pizza last night was lacking. And honestly I think it's because a large pizza is just stretched out more so it tastes better (5x better). The wings looked and smelled great but weren't for me so I have no review on them but the kid who ate them literally ate to the bone so I'm guessing they were 10/10. Now here's the bum part of this review. I also ordered another set of wings, boneless with bbq sauce. And the bbq sauce was near nonexistent. See pics. My son actually thought there was no sauce til we saw it hiding under one nugget (let's face it, boneless wings are just nuggets and don't deserve to be called wings). The wings looked good and he ate them but luckily we bbq sauce we could add to them. Kind of ironic too because they open up all the pizza and dessert boxes for you at pickup to show you your order is right but they didn't with the wings. So just letting you guys know to check your wings before you walk out! All in all I will order from them again, for sure. The sauce is good and I am not even a marinara fan but they do it right here, pepperoni which I hate to love is perfect, the cheese is heavy and gooey. I just think it needs to be tossed on a large to get the best quality. Even the wings we will order again. They seem to have great bundle deals so I would check out that tab before just ordering straight off the menu. Every new business has growing pains. I'm glad they were able to take this pizza place over and keep it open. It's super close and convenient for us. So Disappointed! We ordered the pesto pene pasta and a large Westside pizza for pickup. When we got home - the pasta had sundried tomatoes on top that were so burnt, they were black charcoal all the way through. I've never seen anything like that. Then, we ordered the Westside pizza with olives and green peppers only on1/2. Unfortunately, the other half was just cheese. There was no pepperoni, sausage or mushrooms anywhere on the pizza. Westside Pizza serves some of the best pizza I've ever had. Ordered a half meat lovers and half veggie pizza the other day. It was awesome! When I opened the lid, it looked like there weren't very many toppings. Was initially disappointed. But, nope! The mounds of cheese hid the mounds of toppings. The sauce was spicy but not overly so. The crust was thick enough to feel substantive and thin enough to be crispy. Their prices are a bit higher than some of the other pizza places around, but, as in so many other areas, you really do get what you pay for. Will definitely be back. read more

Love the friendly atmosphere and the detailed descriptions of how their pizzas are made. This was our first time eating here. We got wings, a custom veggie pizza and a pepperoni with bacon pizza. Absolutely delicious just as Jeremy promised it would be. Jeremy was pleasantly sweet and very professional. Came here on a customer appreciation day. Figured with such great prices that day that it was an opportune time to try them out. I arrived to place my order at around 3:30 and I am glad I did because it sounds like after 4:30 orders had to be refunded due to a higher than expected demand. The girl at the register was very kind and helpful. It took about a half an hour for our food to get ready. Customers waited outside for their orders as this is not a sit in restaurant. While waiting a small line was forming. The man who brought out my pizza was very friendly and nice. The pizza was pretty good. We went with thin crust...glad they have that option. They do offer specials, on-line ordering (currently has a coupon code for 25% off), delivery and a loyalty program. Their regular priced pizza is a little on the high side but all in all this is a good little pizza joint and I am glad that we stopped by to try it out. read more

I ordered a Westside Pizza this evening and it was the first time I've ever ordered a pizza from them. I want to tell you it was sooooo Good. It was cooked perfectly. All the ingredients tasted like they were straight from the deli. I usually get my pizza from Papa Murphy and this was way better. I recommend this Pizza over all the Pizza in Fircrest and U. P. I didn't know much about Westside Pizza until we placed an order with them. Apparently they are a chain but a small one. I couldn't pin point all of their other locations but it looks like they are mostly Washington state based, so a small chain by the looks of it. We got the Westside Pizza. I'm using old terminology describing it as the "deluxe" or the "everything on it" pizza but I prefer pizza best with peppers, onions, olives. mushrooms, sausage(and or pepperoni) and so on. The pizza was good, no doubt about it. Not a place where I can say it's the best in the Tacoma vicinity but good all the same and enjoyable meal. We also got garlic bread sticks which we enjoyed too! All in all a solid place to go for a pizza and hopefully it's put to good use for the nearby Fircrest residents as that is the small town it is closest to. read more

The mushrooms were fresh and big which I liked, but the other toppings were meh. The Cesar salad was another thing. Took out the croutons (bagged them separately) and that dang salad was great for a snack late the next day. Couldn't believe it. Yesterday was my first time going here. The owner greeted me and kindly gave me some background on the place once I told him it was my first time going there. He explained how they don't order their pizza dough and make it themselves. They threw in a side of marinara sauce for me to try alongside with their in house ranch, both were superb. I ordered a calzone with pepperoni, mushrooms, and bacon and fell in love with the crust. Even reheated the next day the deush still tastes amazing. Just moved to this area & found this pizza place close by. Chicken was good and tasty, but pizza was somewhat burned. I feel like this isn't really a fair post, since we got 2 very simple pizzas to appease the child. I'd love to come back and try a specialty pizza. Anyhow, we got 1 hand tossed pizza with cheese and 1 thin crust pizza with pineapple (half also added onion). Both crusts were good. I preferred the thin, but my family preferred the hand tossed. The cheese was tasty, the price was right, their online ordering was easy, and they were ready in 20-25 minutes. Good experience. We will be back. read more

We saw a delivery car for Westside pizza the other day so we figured we would try it tonight for the first time. The pizza came a little late but that is not some thing that really concerns us we're pretty patient, however what we got I don't really consider very edible. My calzone was largely bread and extremely chewy and doughy and the pizza was burnt but also cold somehow and overall just pretty unappetizing looking honestly Kinda sucks lol. we paid $50 for burnt pizza and bread so might as well eat what you can I guess read more

This pizza was decent as far as Washington pizzas go...not the worst, but nothin' special. I got the veggie, which had an overabundance of black olives, and definitely not enough mushrooms. Oh, and a couple of pieces of bacon. Thankfully, I'm not a hardcore vegetarian, but that could be pretty offensive and/or disappointing to people who strictly don't eat pork. Wish they would have taken more care on that, no matter how busy they were. The crust was a little too "bready" and the sauce was a lil' too tomato-pasty. 10/10 Tropical Heat is the $#+ every time I've ordered from them it's absolutely nothing but amazing. It has a homemade vibe to it. Sausage is always fresh, jalapeños are fresh (refrigerated for to long and they loose spice). Cheese is goey and delicious. It's only about 10 minutes from my place so I always go and take it myself. After the last delivery, I was disappointed. I normally order the Westside on cauliflower crust, which is usually amazing. Unfortunately, this last order was subpar. The crust was hard and I couldn't even bite down on it. The flavor was lacking. My husband ordered a pan Death By Pizza and was not impressed either. The wings were good, but that was about it. I'm sitting here eating pizza that has no actual flavor. I can't say that this pizza is bad, but I can't say this pizza is good. I added salt and some chilli pepper flakes to see if that would help, but now I'm just eating salty peppery grease-dough. The crust is decent, but this is just not what pizza should be. The people sitting here with me all have a confused look on their faces because none of us are certain what one has to do to ingredients like cheese, sauce, dough, pepperoni, onions, and canadian bacon to make them come out with a flavor that can only be described as ... null. Aside from that perplexing phenomenon, we ordered the pizza about 80 minutes ago and it said it would be here in 34 minutes, so feel free to do the math. After repeatedly calling the store and either it having a busy signal or just ringing with no answer they finally picked up and said that they only had one driver tonight. While that explains the issue with the delivery being slow, it doesn't clear up the complete miss on expectations. read more

We actually tried the Westside in Hoquiam first, following a baseball game. It was great, then we discovered we had one close to home on Orchard and decided to give them a try. Turns out it was great too! Thin crust is my favorite and just right for a Westgate special. By the way, so far, every time I've gone the staff has been friendly and FUN!!! Keep it up guys !! First of all, huge shout out to Jeremy and Alex for making these delicious pizza's. We missed out on the $7 deal on a weekend and they definitely honored the price today. I'm so impressed by the customer service and the warm welcome they gave to me. The store was clean inside and out. Location is new opened last thanksgiving yr. this company is based in IDaho and have a few locations here in WA. This is a wonderful tasting pizza, the crust was perfectly cooked, I would have had it a little crispier but that's ok. (You can always re-heat it in the oven to your preference) the toppings were perfectly added and not less not more just in between. Jeremy is the employee that helped me and he had a lot of great recommendations, he recommended me his favorite. I love pizza and I just had to try it. We went during off-peak hours and our pizza was made within 15mins. Mask are required to enter. Delivery is only within the 10mins radius of the store. The Good- Points rewards for customers to earn free/discounted items. Average prices. Got a free 2liter because delivery driver forgot our pizza and it was late. The Bad- Pricey. A medium speciality pizza for 17$, 10" round, cut into small slices. The Ugly- Veggies undercooked, ho-hum flavors. Doughy crust & Overcooked tops. The Skinny- I thought this place would've delivered with a more unique flavor and texture and have more variety. The average flavor and higher prices will keep me away. I was disappointed. I am from Sequim where I thought the only Westside pizza was but, low and behold, there's one in Tacoma too. This pizza is the best and the customer service was amazing. I ordered 2 pizzas last night and asked that they be delivered at 7:45pm. They showed up at 6:45, so I mentioned that my wife would be home until 7:45 and the deliver man said hey would come back with 2 more pizzas at 7:45 so they would be hot when she got home. Sure enough, 7:45 on the dot the second pair of pizzas showed up and they were perfect. Thanks guys for the amazing display of customer service and of course delicious pizza. Ordered for the first time on Customer Appreciation Day. We ordered the Death by Pizza and a Pepperoni Pizza. The owner is so nice and informative, when he found out it was my first time, he explained that the dough is made fresh each morning and that they use REAL fresh grated mozzarella, not the kind with the starch on it. The pizza stands up to any great pizza in Tacoma. We loved it! The only thing I might improve a bit was that the crust seemed to be a bit soft - I do like it a bit crispier.
