    Sausage mushroom olive pizza
    Jackie C.

This was the worst pizza I have ever ordered. I was not edible. I order pineapple and ham and got a plain cheese. The other was sausage mushroom and olive, it was soggy and greasy. The employees were rude when I went to pick up the order. I was so disappointed because I had waited for sometime to try this restaurant. My review is over priced with under performance. It gets 0 stars

    Quad all meat

We were nearby for a baseball showcase and found this place on yelp. We have been craving deep dish pizza since our Chicago trip a year ago. It did not disappoint! We were new to try the Quad, with all meat, we also got a traditional Chicago with pepperoni. My husbands favorite was the all meat but the Chicago put me in a cheese and sauce coma! The place is a little hidden and very limited seating. We were the only group dining in, everyone else that came were carrying out. I believe the owners were the ones waiting on us. They were so sweet. Come HUNGRY leave HAPPY!

Very nice waitress in a weirdly hidden restaurant off the main road. It's very mom and pop, unfortunately with gnats and flies, but the whole point is the food, right? She told us they import all the meats from Chicago so, if true, that's pretty unique. The deep dish was good - nothing to write home about honestly. While we've had better, it's good to know we don't necessarily have to travel to Seattle for deep dish if we don't want to. The meatballs were very tasty (maybe IL just does them better?) and had no weird hard bits, which annoys me with most ground meat. Overall, I'd return.

    Hawaiian deep dish

We got the bbq wings and Hawaiian deep dish pizza. The wings were meaty and saucy and the pizza had a delicious crispy crust and was super cheesy and flavorful! Definitely will come back!

    A half empty pizza

The crust shows that they have the pan to do genuine Chicago deep dish pizza. But ours was cold and more than half way empty. A regular pizza with Chicago crust, an utter disappoint for 60 dollars never again

    Italian beef.. juicy & delicious

Off the beaten path, but a gem & well worth it. Overpriced? A little bit, but if you're looking for the authentic Chicago dog, Italian beef, or deep dish pizza this is the best place in the south puget sound. It's not Al's beef, Tony's, Portillo's, or Giordano's yet, but they are giving it a great try & always open to a typical Chicago opinion.. lol Tasty, fresh, and great service with a smile. The smile doesn't come in Chicago, so that's a bonus.. give it a try.

We were in Chicago last weekend and didn't have time to get a Chicago dog or an Italian beef sandwich. I decided to search for a Chicago style restaurant near Tacoma and found this gem! We tried the Chicago chi-dawg, the Cub (Italian beef), and The Quad deep dish, pan-style pizza. The hotdog was classic and perfect. The beef sandwich with the Giardiniera relish was dynamite. But the star of the show was the pizza. Great ratio of sauce, cheese and toppings; and that burnt cheese pan crust was fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. The owner came out and told us about how he adopted his favorite recipes from all the places he loved and worked at when he lived in Chicago. It was a great experience, we'll definitely be going back!

The service was wonderful the lady was kind and very helpful. I was blown away by the sauce it was perfect. The deep dish was delicious and I can't wait to come back! My boyfriend got the thin pizza where he said it was ok. Honestly I think the deep dish is worth the calories and wait!

Food - deliciousness huge portions very fresh ! Service - exceptional , lady who serve us very nice. Ambiance - simple and clean. FYI . GPS will direct you to the eye clinic 5016 but the pizza place is at the back of 5016 Bridgeport

The Chicago dog was perfect. The deep dish was the best Chicago pizza I have had outside of Chicago. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back.

Let's start with the Chicago style hot dog. They advertise Vienna Beef but that's not what you're getting. The hotdog had no snap and the same gross doughy texture that you get with your typical budget brands found at places like Walmart. Onions were chopped way too coarse, the pickle was mushy and they forgot to put on the sport peppers. Now the Italian beef was a little better, a salty grey pile of sliced beef, served lukewarm over a brat bun instead of a French roll. Both items were way overpriced and nothing more than what you could slap together from a small trip to the grocery store. If I wasn't from Chicago maybe I'd be less critical, but there's absolutely no effort here. Now the deep dish pizza I thought was okay, up until I tasted the sausage. Again, cheap pork filler that all has that same weird flavor and heavily processed consistency. You'd know what I meant if you've ever had the sausage from Papa John's. Same garbage. Not the Italian fennel sausage that belongs on such a pizza. If you avoid the sausage, I'd rate the pizza 6/10, but nothing else I had was worth getting.

Solid Chicago style pizza. Only note is that the chest was moderately soggy. Still good though and will definitely go back.

Paid $30 for a not so fresh pizza. Tasted like the dough was frozen, toppings were not fresh. Disappointed. Service was good though.

I…read morechose to come on this particular day because the weather in Tacoma was absolutely beautiful, and I wanted to enjoy the outdoor seating. I was seated right along the railing, which was perfect for taking in the amazing waterfront views. My waiter was perfectly attentive--not too much, but just enough. He checked in when needed, kept my drink refreshed, and let me enjoy my meal without feeling interrupted. To drink, I ordered the featured Peach Hard Lemonade. I always enjoy the seasonal fruit cocktails that Anthony's restaurants offer, and this one did not disappoint. For my meal, I chose the Dungeness Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. My only complaint about Boathouse 19 is that, despite being located right on the water, they don't offer a shrimp cocktail of any kind. As a seafood lover, that seems like a missed opportunity. Because of the lack of a shrimp cocktail on the menu, I gave Boathouse 19 . Everything else--from the service and atmosphere to the food and drinks--was enjoyable, but I hope they'll consider adding one in the future.
