I've had better pizza in my life, but for walking in and walking out 5 minutes later I gotta hand them a solid 4. It's like a subway, you can order a sandwich they invented or pick your toppings. There are limited salad options too. We were greeted when we entered, helped promptly, and I think what I liked about this place is that the employees seemed to be having fun. The work area is open so we can hear them all talking and I liked their vibe. I got a Mod Mad Dog pizza (sausage and pepperoni). The pizza crust is tasty. We ate on the patio which was much nicer than the inside. Especially on a gorgeous November afternoon! I got a can of House Rose. They have compostable straws. :) That made me smile. Update: We got a message from Nick Boutin the District Manger of MOD Pizza. Screenshot of the conversation added to the images. This is my husband and mines 1st time at MOD and sad to say this will be our last. The lady who took our order didn't have her hair pulled up in a bun. Her ponytail was swing around. Come to find out she was the manager. While ordering we asked more then 6 times for cheesy garlic bread. There was no one around but they refused to listen to our request. After getting a little upset they finally told us they were sorry that they ran out of dough but they didn't they made 4 more pizzas before they ran out. We were paying for our meal we asked for a No Name Cake and 2 drinks. The cashier repeated out orders twice and then we asked about our cheesy bread and she looked shocked . And asked if they have started the cheesy bread and the manger said no not yet! And by this time it has been over 8 mins our pizzas have already been placed in the oven. And when we asked about our drinks the cashier and tells us that we didn't order any drinks but it's like you repeated our order twice and said 2 drinks both times. After the cashier finished ringing up 3 other customers we asked her for the manger. My husband and I were just asking her why are bread sticks weren't not going to come out with food and about the drink issue we were not trying to get anything for free. Instead of her apologizing she handed us 2 cups and said BETTER!! and walked away. This review would have gotten no stars for there lack of customer service. Today we went to mod pizza for lunch and ordered 2 minis. I though that the staff was nice and polite. Greeting everyone that walks through the door. I had the mini pizza with spicy tomato sauce and mozzarella. Next, I got the pepperoni with spicy sausages for my meats. For my toppings I got the pineapple, jalapeño, and salt and pepper. I always enjoy a simple pizza! Being on the side of town we always stop by for a quick lunch and it never lets us down. I don't think we will ever get tired of eating at mod pizza. The price for a mini or even a regular size mod pizza is very reasonable! I recommend trying this place out when you're on the side of town, plus there are stores like Nordstrom rack and Dick's sporting goods to walk around after the meal to digest the food. read more

My all time favorite with a date or the fam is to split a pizza and salad. The salad is honestly what keeps me coming back more than I normally would. Yes, the pizza is a neapolitan style heavily slice. And yes you can pile everything you want on it without being nickle and dimed to death. Not as good as the location on Oracle. The service was fine, the pizza wasn't. I had the Mega Dough crust since I enjoyed it so much before. This one wasn't baked as well. Didn't have that rise or chew that the other one had on Oracle. The manager twice made customers uncomfortable. Once, in a voice loud enough for all to hear in the restaurant, she was airing out her complaints to another employee about a problem with a customer. We didn't need to hear that. The second time, she was chewing out her employees or telling them to be sure to close the back door if you are going out for a smoke because she doesn't want customers coming in through there. Again, the whole store heard her. One of the employees was glancing around at the customers, looking uncomfortable. Again, we didn't need to hear that. I did write corporate about this manager. They said that was not acceptable and that they would be contacting the regional manager to take care of it. So points for responding. Typical "open ceiling" kind of interior. Had to move to another table because the AC was blowing on us and making us chill. I decided to try one of their "cakes without a name," I think they call it. It's really their version of a Hostess Ding Dong. It cost $2.00. Not worth it. I guess not all MOD Pizzas are made alike. Have had really good experiences at the Oracle store and at one at Santan Valley shopping center in Gilbert. This is basically "just around the corner" for me and it is very convenient. Over the last eight years, this has been my go-to place for all of my Amazon returns. The employees are friendly. Decent hours that are convenient. We've even sent a few packages on our own. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I love MOD! By far my favorite fast pizza place in Tucson. Right now they have roasted button mushrooms in addition to the traditional sliced, delicious!! Juicy and flavorful. Perfect place for vegans! Lots of veggies and herbs to choose from. On Tuesday they offer deep discounts on local beer. The tomato sauce is flavorful but subtle. Don't hesitate to go, just go!!! The thing that I enjoy about this place is that they have a lot of toppings / sauces that you can choose to make your perfect pie. Yup, it's a 5! One surprising thing about Tucson that has been an absolute delight is how many thin crust pizza options there are in this city! As someone who grew up on the East Coast, this is an awesome thing. MOD has a great model where the first time I walked in, I was totally overwhelmed by how many choices there were for toppings -- so, so many. I personally think the way to go is to keep it basic -- because the starter ingredients like the mozz and red sauce are already so dang good. I did that w/garlic and ricotta and it was one of the tastiest pies. But perhaps the best part was the super friendly staff who answered questions I had and were genuinely pleasant. This was my second time here, and the pizza is good. There are tons of toppings to choose from. I didn't see an option for rising crust (which I like) so original thin crust it was. All in all it took about 5 mins for our pizza to be ready. The staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and presentable, it's an open floor layout. It would have been nice if they had out door seating. For some reason in MY opinion their pizza doesn't taste good when reheated the next day, it loses the crispy ness of the crust (even when put in the oven for 15mins). read more

They had a very nice variety of toppings, I think more than most... I got a Hawaiian themed pizza with extras. They had roasted garlic, which is magical... most underrated item ever... My pizza sucked. Lacked flavor, tasted watered down (possibly roasted red peppers?) but it was awful, I couldn't even eat it. I played it safe with toppings, same stuff I'd get anywhere... but it was enough for me to have no interest in going back. Hubs liked his, but he said they all taste the same sooo... wasn't anything special. My friend really enjoyed their fancy lemonade or something... You go down the line and pick as many toppings as you want on your pizza. They don't seem to have as many choices as many of the other create your own pizza places but there is enough to get the job done. I like that they offer some fun and different drizzles to put on your finished pizza. There are also salad, dessert, and garlic bread options. This place can be super good and it has so much potential, but they aren't living up to their potential. I asked for garlic herb butter and they said they used to have it but they discontinued it. They said the same thing about cilantro. I don't know who's idea that was but it's a really dumb idea. It sounds like their pizza used to be better and then the manger of the store or whoever made that decision made the pizza not as good. Good pizza, but really stupid that they discontinued the things that made their pizza great. I really hope the manger brings back the garlic herb butter and cilantro. I've been to both the Wetmore location and this one, and both have great service. I love their variety of toppings as well as their lemonade and tea selections. They also have other menu items like salads but I've only tried the pizza. Beer is also available and they have happy hour throughout the week. I came here for a work lunch and it was an extremely pleasant experience. They offer pamphlets that have a list of Pizzas already tested to perfection or you can chose to create your own. On this particular occasion, I chose my own ingredients. It was a little daunting as I wasn't sure if pesto was good on a Pizza, but I listened to my heart and chose what felt right. Word to the wise, don't get too many meats. It was extremely greasy, but oh my goodness was it good. The wait time was minimal and the mod size is perfect for one person (that's if you are a huge Pizza eater like myself). I enjoyed the atmosphere, the fresh ingredients, friendly service and most of all, their lemonade. It's was like liquid gold. I highly, highly recommend this place. I love MOD pizza! Affordable quick personalized pizzas and salads. Everyone in your group will be happy, even the picky ones. The great part is, you can choose all toppings for no extra cost.
