I LOVE everything about this place. The staff is so friendly and ensure that my pizza is taken care of since it needs to be both gluten and dairy free. The food is so delicious. I usually take it home to eat but there has been a time or two where I've just sat and ate alone in the dining room because I liked the vibe. Always enjoy coming in even with my girlfriend for something to eat for lunch thats not to big. We come in and share slices of two different types of pizzas which makes it even better for the size of the pizzas. Staff is always welcoming and kind from the first steps in and last steps out. Huge fan of MOD pizza, we love the brick oven pizza taste!! You can't beat the "make it however you want" with unlimited toppings deal! This has became a regular stop for us for a quick bite!! My favorite is all the meats, extra mushrooms, black olives, onions, and peppers! Our usual location is the one on Broadway since we love close but this stop was the one by Tucson Mall. I don't know if it's just this location but the workers here do have brains!! They think so clearly and at a fast paced rate. They always welcome you, they are ok with every request you make, they even offer you condiments for free. I would say that this is one of the cleanest places I have been to. I can spend $10 on a pizza salad and leave feeling full off of something that is relatively healthy compared to other fast food options. What motivated me to write a review, however, is the awesome service I receive here. My hat is off to whoever does the hiring- the staff seems like genuinely good people. Managers KC and Brett have always been accommodating and, from what I have seen at least, have always treated their customers with respect. I came here when it was the grand opening and received its free pizza promotion so I'm purely judging it on the pizza and the free shakes and not the actual pricing. I think with my personal preferences in pizza, I didn't find MOD to be too amazing where it blowed my mind. Yes it was good, but I don't think it surpassed other pizza parlors. I do appreciate the fact that I'm allowed to add everything and anything onto my pizza but that's just like any build your own pizza places. If I'm comparing their pizza to Pieology, I would say they are almost pretty similar but this might be a little bit better due to the crust and bread. If I'm comparing it to liberty market's pizza, then I do enjoy liberty markets pizza a lot more. My boyfriend has the opposite opinion of me so I really think it's based on your own preference and how you build your pizza. Give it a try! I ordered a gluten-free pizza with lots of toppings and I should have also asked for olive oil first onto the crust. Then in this review, maybe a higher number of stars. My friend had a regular pizza with plenty of toppings and liked it. We took our pizzas to go. The place could really be loud when lots of people are there, but more importantly I wish they had more beers on tap....then I might actually sit and eat pizza there. MOD has good quality pizza with good quality ingredients and toppings. It's very close to me so I am a regular on my way to work. So much so that they know my name. However, their biggest flaw is their lack of quality control. My pizza is different every time though I always get the same thing. They only remember to go over the pizza with the perforator about half the time, so half the time my pizza is covered in bubbles which is annoying. Half of them don't know how to properly sauce the pizza, evenly distributing the sauce amongst the pizza. And the amount of cheese on the pizza greatly differs depending on the person. A couple of times I've gotten an ungodly amount of cheese. There are one or two people who make my pizza perfectly every time and I enjoy it when they are there when I visit. I haven't seen this inconsistency at other locations in other cities (Houston), so it's unfortunate that I'm seeing this here. I really do hope they see this so that they can improve upon this. Not only will the consistency be nice for their guests, but if they can properly standardize their toppings it will save them some money. The Oracle location has an incredible staff. Every time I walk in, KC is genuinely happy to be at work. She is friendly, kind and the reason I keep going back. I've been to a few make your own pizza places in Tucson now, and they've all been pretty good compared to the popular pizza chains. But MOD Pizza is probably the best! They just recently opened this location by me, where a Ghengis Grill used to be. And I'm so happy that they did! I came with my wife, and the workers greeted us when we came in. They were very friendly and happy to explain their process, options, and toppings. Basically, for a set price, you can add as much as you want to the pizza that they make in front of you, similar to Chipotle (right nearby). I did like the option of other crusts at other places, but their crust is pretty good as it is. I think the red sauce is really a step above others. They have a good selection of meats, veggies, and spices, and the pizzas cook pretty fast (around 5-10min). I understand this is a chain, since I recently took a trip to Washington and saw a MOD pizza up in Seattle. But I'm glad this company is expanding, since I love the idea of fast casual pizza! Update: As noted by another person based on my pics, they do put a less toppings on by default compared to other places, so don't be afraid to ask for more! It doesn't cost anything to increase your topping amount, so I for instance always ask for double of certain ingredients nowadays. Just note that too many toppings may require fork and knife! When I arrived back my pizza was yet to even be put in the oven (this was about 20 min) and then after it still took another 20 min sitting there. Terrible location I love mod but not for 40 min wait and after I asked for Sri-ranch's side sauce and he preceded to put marinara in and try to give me it and then when I corrected him he spilled the Marinara on the pizza when taking it out..... get it together. This is the funnest place to eat because you can go absolutely nuts with salad or pizza toppings and never break the bank. The toppings are pretty versatile and higher end than most pizza joints.
