Dairy free cheese, yes please! This has to be my top pizza place in the area just for that reason alone. However, I do like building my own pizza, just the way I want it. Plus you get to see them do it & add extra as you go. If I'm only feeling slightly hungry, their mini mod is plenty or if your ravenous you can opt for the mega dough. The price is also reasonable, cheaper than similar pizza places. I also like that you can add toppings, after the pizza is out the oven i.e. extra tomato sauce, pesto, bbq swirl, ranch, sir-rancha sauce or my favorite the balsamic fig glaze. It made the veggies seem warm but not cooked and the cheese barely melted. Originally wasn't a fan of this location - but the last time I went was awesome! I ordered the Ella pizza - the chicken was fresh and the sauces were a great fit. Food has improved greatly since they first opened and the service is great. Will definitely be back! read more

The staff was friendly and the girl pronounced my name correctly! I loved that. I got pesto sauce on my pizza which was good, but a little salty for my taste. The crust was perfectly baked and crunchy which I loved! The "cheese bread" was okay. Nothing exciting. I do love all the toppings options. I got the largest size possible, in The description stated that it was just two pizza crust's stacked on top of each other and that's literally what it was. They put maybe ten mushrooms (and one random black olive) on my pizza. Not to mention, they overloaded it with cheese that was so greasy and thick that I could barely chew it and definitely couldn't taste my sparsely strewn mushrooms. Even though you can "build your own" I got the "mad dog" which has red sauce, cheese, pepperoni, mild sausage and ground beef. I also added red onions. The pizza is cooked at a high temp for just a few minutes. Crust is very good. It's a thin Neapolitan-style crust that is slightly crisp. The toppings were very good. They also have a variety of salads on the menu. Great drink selection - beer, an assortment of fountain drinks, shakes and some flavored lemonades. Very satisfied customer. Update May 19,2020. I decided to give this store another chance due to its location to me. Customer service was excellent! I had ordered two pizzas to go. One they felt was too crispy and instead of giving that one to me and send me in my way they had made me another one and gave me the crispier one too. So I left with three pizzas. read more

They close at 9 on Thursday! Hugely disappointed we headed towards HEB. Driving down 31st St we noticed that new place, MOD Pizza. Thank heaven we gave it a try! We split the 11 inch and each had a Caesar salad. The salads were fresh, we chose our ingredients, and the dressing was light yet flavorful. The pizza crust was thin, cooked brown, and tasty with fresh toppings and, unlike another unfortunate reviewer, with the perfect portion of cheese. Our mood shifted from disappointed to very satisfied with plans to return soon. The Guns and Oil Brewing Co. American Lager was perfect for this meal. The pizza is small and for the price it is not competitive with D-o's. The topping choices are pretty good. The crust has a weird texture that is hard to describe, but not soft and bread like. Probably because it has to cook fast. Our pizza was orderes as a thick crust and the crust was not cooked entirely. There were areas of opaque dough throughout the whole crust and bigger areas where the crust was thicker. This is my favorite pizza on the planet, and I've had pizza in New York, Italy, and Chicago. You get to choose your own toppings (and decide how much), then they cook your pizza in a fire oven, and you can choose a sauce garnish. I usually pick basil, pepperoni, mozzarella, artichokes, and feta. All for about $8. Also, I always add a little pesto at the end. Just delicious. Mods pizza is good anywhere I go but this customer service I had today was absolutely horrible. The two females were very rude and sloppy with their work. The older lady who I'm guessing is the manager, pulled my pizza out and stated "ew why it look like that, probably all that crap on there" that's something she should've kept to herself and was highly unprofessional. This was our first time trying MOD pizza. Let me just say..... WOW!!! it's the perfect place to go when everyone in your family likes a different pizza. I personally got a veggie pizza, and the ingredients were so fresh. With the pizza only having to spend a few minutes in the oven, it comes out melty and the taste of the veggies still in tact. Ok so this spot isnt the best. As a cook and looking at the ingredients laid out for your choosing, i can see that they dont follow food safety regulations. Sauces look unstirred for long time.
