I ordered a Mod seize salad. Make your own. It was fresh and delicious. The dressing was so good. Very filling as a meal. I can't say a bad thing about the restaurant either. Also has fast service.

Love the concept for this pizzeria, like a Chipotle for pizza. Come in, choose either a pre-defined pizza or build your own, watch them assemble it and cook it, then enjoy! Fresh-baked pizzas in a stone oven is what they specialize in. With thin crispy crusts and a delicious variety of toppings, there are so many possibilities. The hot stone oven cooks the pizzas quickly and with a nice smoky char, they will be ready almost by the time you get your dinks and sit down. Nothing really in the way of gourmet pizzas with un-common toppings, but good traditional and modern American pizzas done in a stone-oven bistro style. This location in a strip mall is convenient to nearby shopping or grabbing a quick bite on the way home. The facility is clean. Service is fast and courteous. Ingredients are always fresh and available. They have a decent amount of space for seating if you aren't grabbing something on the go. Definitely give them a try for a fast casual take on your usual pizza fare.

I know they are known for their pizzas but I always get a salad when I go there! I get the medium sized salad and put way too many topping in it =) That is exactly why I love it so much. I always get the dressing mixed in and it is super delicious. Some of the topping they have to offer you cannot get in a salad anywhere else. I always have no self control when it comes to grabbing one of their "no name cakes" on the way out. Super delicious!

Blaze will still be my #1 Build Your Own Pizza place, but this is by far my favorite MOD location as far as the pizza quality goes. The first time I ever tried MOD was in Annapolis and it was very underwhelming. I ordered the mega (thinking it would be more like a thick crust, which they have as an option at Blaze), but instead it's just two thin crusts on top of each other and it's supposed to be more filling. At that location, I also got the garlic strips which were also literally their thin crusts cut into slices and slathered with garlic. I was expecting some nice fluffy garlic bread. So definitely do not ever order the garlic strips (I assume the cinnamon strips are the same as well). Anyway, so then I tried the Columbia location and had a much better experience there. Still, of course they don't have thick crust (which I crave), but it seemed to taste much better here (maybe my crusts weren't burnt here). After trying it here, I thought that maybe MOD isn't so bad after all, at least not at this location. And I do like that they have sri-rancha. Sriracha is my absolute fave and I love dipping my pizza in ranch so this is the best of both worlds. And now, at last, I tried it here - the closest location to my house. I decided to get the regular this time, instead of the mega since either way it wouldn't be thick crust and to my surprise it was the best I've ever had at a MOD pizza! I actually did end up having a bit of a fluffy crust to chew, rather than their typical poor excuse for a crust. I've been with other people who have ordered the regular BYO before and theirs still looked crispy, so maybe the dough recipe has changed or this location is somehow just better than the others! But I was very satisfied with my meal. I ordered a half pesto half marina pizza, and when they put the pesto on, I thought for sure I made a mistake. I've ordered this type of pizza at Blaze before and the pesto is much saucier and appetizing looking. It's something they spread onto the dough. Here, however, it's much thicker and they just sprinkle it on. I wasn't sure if that half of my pizza was gonna end up tasting dry without any other sauce, but the way it cooked in the oven somehow spread it all out because I finished inhaling my pizza before I even remembered to notice what that half of my pizza tasted like. I enjoyed every bite of it. While I still love Blaze more (because of the thick crust option), this is a great closer to home alternative that I wouldn't hesitate coming back to. And if you don't care for thick crust anyway, then this place will be just fine for you! Just like Blaze, they also offer gluten-free crust and vegan cheese (however, the pricing here for all that is higher than at Blaze).

Second time trying this place. First time I was not crazy about so decided to go back to a different location. The location is brand new. The tables needed to be cleaned off but that was the only issue we noticed with the dining area. My friend and I were greeted when we walked in. There were about 3 people ahead of us. My friend ordered first. I was right behind her. Then the guy taking orders skipped over me and moved into the girl behind me. I thought maybe it was just an accident and he would come back but then once he finished hers, he moved into the girl behind her. I finally asked if I could place my order and he did apologize and then took my order. I ordered a build your own 11 inch. I asked for white cream, mozzarella, bacon, olives, onions, garlic, asiago cheese, and at the end to top it with pesto and a ranch drizzle. It was very good. I wish I would have realized you could do chopped garlic instead of roasted garlic. Also, I wish the onions were smaller instead of whole rings. The crust was really good though and the flavors of the pizza was great. Definitely better than the first time. The 11 inch was more than enough for me. They cut it into 4 big slices but I requested they cut it into 8 smaller slices. I was only able to eat 3 smaller slices. Now I have leftovers!

Bottom Line: Individual sized pizzas that are "Made on Demand" (MOD) and then baked in about five minutes in a 800 degree oven. Like many other pizza places (Blaze, Pie in Five, &Pizza, Pieology, Project Pie, etc.) the concept is that you specify what you want on your pizza including sauces, cheese, meats, veggies and seasonings as it is created assembly-line style. Then, it quickly gets cooked in a super hot oven and can finished off with sauce and seasonings like my favorite, the pesto drizzle. If you are indecisive or not feeling creative, then you can get one of their specified pizzas but what fun is that when you have the opportunities for limitless toppings? The classic MOD sized pizza serves one really hungry person or one kinda hungry person with a few slices as leftovers. About those slices, they are too big for my preference so I always ask to get my pizza double cut, otherwise the large, wide triangles awkwardly flop around and nothing that is awkwardly flopping around is ever appealing! Once you have your pizza, grab a drink and pick your seat. Beverages at this Pacific Northwest chain include Coca-Cola fountain sodas, iced teas and lemonades. Seating is first come first serve with plenty of space for families. They have outdoor seating too but the view is of the parking lot. It's a tad loud in here between many hard surfaces and enthusiastic greetings so should you opt to get your pie to go you'll appreciate the sturdy pizza boxes. I've been saying for a few years that Severna Park needs a fast fired, individual pizza place (and better dining options in general) and MOD was smart to move into this market. MOD is located in the Severna Park Marketplace shopping center (better known as the Giant shopping center) on Rt. 2 Northbound in Atlanta Bread Company's old spot. Soon they will be nestled between Jersey Mike's subshop (coming soon) and Chipotle.

Build your own MOD w/ spinach, mozzarella, gorgonzola, onion, black olives, roasted garlic and chicken. Delicious!!

Let me start by saying how great the customer service is at both the MOD's I've been to. This location in particular is wonderful - ample space and a warming welcome! We always get 2 build your owns - the choices and possibilities are really endless. I ALWAYS suggest the pesto drizzle at the end - it really just bumps the flavor up a notch. So nice that they have that. This is great for when you're wanting your own personal custom pizza. It's fresh, filling and economically feasible. Must try if you love Pizza!!

You guys have this amazing pizza making thing down to an exact science! I ordered a vegan pizza with the diary free cheese; it was absolutely amazing. Quick, inexpensive, and just the way you want it. No other way to eat pizza in my opinion. MOD Pizza just may be my favorite pizza place. This store was a little stingy with the toppings though. Come on, I am not getting meat on my pizza, so I need lots of veggies lol. Overall thoughts: I am a fan of the pizza here!

Mini with spicy peppers, pepperoni, olives, roasted broccoli and buffalo "finishing" sauce. Cooked to perfection.
    Sid P.

Friendly staff. Greeted us when we walked in. Made sure we understood the ordering concept and definitely had patience while we decided. Got the mini pizza with lots of toppings. Was cooked to perfection. Crisp crust. Tangy sauce. Toppings and cheese were great. We will definitely be back to try all the pizza combinations.

You could go to Carpaccio or even Lewnes for the price of this place. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and at the end of the night, they added 22% gratuity on everything, including the wine bottles (which is totally unacceptable, you don't pay a % of the gratuity for a bottle). Then added a 3.5-% processing fee. My daughter got a kids meal and they seemed to have figured out how to charge $16 for it instead of $9 like the other kids meals. Our bill was double what we were expecting and the food did not match the prices. It was fine but definitely nothing special.

It's supposed to be a wine bar, I guess, and the wine is their main focus, though they are also apparently well known for their pizzas. Despite it being busy, we were seated pretty quickly in the back area, and were served quickly. Our waitress was great, and offered a lot of good drink and food suggestions. I love the way the wine is broken down. They've got three categories, which are snarky grouping by price. I am drawing a blank on the names of the categories, and they're not on the website, so .... they were something like, "Wallet Friendly Wines," "I can splurge a little," and "Money is no object to wine!" Theirs were probably better and more creative -- dock me one star as a reviewer for not remembering. :) The wines were good. I tried two different ones, including an unusual "orange" wine, which is a white wine left to contact the skins. It was a little fruitier than I usually like in a white wine, but it was good still. The food for me was where it fell down. I ordered a charcuterie plate, which was honestly kind of skimpy for the price. I also got a burrata, which is served with "harissa roasted carrots." The harissa was incredibly spice forward, and... burrata is a delicious, but delicate cheese. The carrots and harissa basically contaminated it and overpowered it. They might as well have dipped it in coriander and cumin. That's fine if you want to eat coriander and cumin, but not if you want burrata. My pizza was the biggest let down. It's a "rustic" style pizza, but it frankly translates to "poorly made." It's a good size, roughly oval pizza, with very thin, crispy crust. Like a giant cracker. It's then cut into 16 pieces (give or take, don't quote me). Some of those pieces had /nothing/ on them. Like, just crust. No cheese. No sauce. No toppings. Others had just sauce. I'm not a big fan of pizza, but when I eat it, I expect every piece to have sauce, cheese, and toppings on it... if I wanted to eat just crust, I'd just ask for a pile of aperitif crackers. Great atmosphere, good drinks, fair price, but ... terrible food. If I lived nearby, I'd stop by for a drink now and again, but I wouldn't eat there.
