First try was challenging tonight as our pizza kept being given away to other parties, but in their defense, the place was incredibly busy and the staff were completely giving it their all behind the counter and out on the floor. Will try back again when it's less crowded. Good vibe there for sure. read more

This is so cool! Our first time at MOD Pizza- we walked in and they said hi. There were 4 people ahead of us and we waited about 5 minutes. They apologized about the wait and we told them it was our first time. He walked us through the process. Everyone was super friendly and the pizza is tasty! read more

Great pizza. We like the service and the menu. A very clean and friendly place. We would return again and again.

Staff is really friendly and the price of a pizza is great. You can walk out of there with a pizza with as many toppings as you want for only like $9. I can only eat about half of the pizza, mod size, so this could be a really great place to go when you are in the area and you and a friend are looking for a cheap place to eat. it gets a little crowded at dinner time, but that's just the normal rush and nothing against them, it just proves that this place is a great place to eat. I would recommend going for lunch and sitting in the outside seating. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

I never thought a "chain" would have my favorite Pizza in Kitsap but here we are. The Flat rate for the pizza is an unbeatable value. I got a pesto base with Gorgonzola & Mozzarella cheese. Pepperoni, spicy sausage & bacon as meat. mushrooms, jalapeños & hot peppers as vegetables and a Sri-ranch a swirl...for 7.97 on an 11 inch pizza?!? Seriously I would have paid $16 for that and have Ben satisfied, it tastes delicious. They also have amazing Milk shakes, not the same bargain IMO but still worth a try, I would skip the garlic strips though. I also will say the staff was super nice, they explained how it worked and they seemed just as excited about making the pizza as we did. Can't wait to come back. read more

I agree with previous post that their crust is tasteless. The concept of toppings is good, but without good crust as a base what's the point? read more

Although we rolled into an empty parking lot, MOD Ballard felt warm and bustling due to the friendly staff. I would recommend a gluten-friendly pizza with a mix of red sauce and pesto, mozzarella and pepperoni, bacon and onions, and finally all their spices with an olive oil drizzle. This combination makes for a fine pizza should you be seeking one. In fact, they make the best gluten-friendly pizzas I've ever tasted. read more

Delicious. Staff members are freindly and courteous! The best Bang in Ballard for your lunch buck.

I am in love with this store. I live nearby and have been in a handful of times and the food and service is unbelievable. By the third time i came in the workers remembered my name and what kind of pizza i like. They have also twice given me a free drink. It is one of my favorite places :) read more

The pizza is great there, although they are a bit on the pricey side but it's still good. The pizzas are thin though. The service here is really great. All the workers are nice and cool. I was there for a kids birthday party, and everyone was so crazy and wild and we were so loud and made crazy stuff with the sodas. The workers didn't say or complain about it. I was pretty sure they wanted to scream at us, but I was really surprised when they didn't say anything. And when we left all the workers said have a good night and that made me feel happy honestly. read more

One word- Sri-rancha! Whoever thought of mixing ranch and sriracha is seriously my new hero. The pizza is delicious; you get to build your own and the price doesn't go up at all. Great portion size, nice selection of drinks, the employees were really personable and helpful (besides this one chick who seemed to just be having a bad day). I wouldn't suggest the spring salad mix, tastes kind of dirty, but everything else? GREAT. I will definitely be coming back. read more

This is the best place to come if you want to have a delicious custom made pizza served by the nicest staff in Seattle, fast and cheap. They even have gluten-free... And good beer on tap. What's not to like?!?! Oh... The music is awesome too! read more

First time to MOD...what can I say-have eaten pies all over north America (lived for nine years in NYC) and this Ballard offering was in the top 3. Great crust, awesome toppings..MOD focuses on whats important-PIZZA, no pasta, no wings, PIZZA. We walked in amid a dinner rush, were welcomed, talked through the MOD method of creating our pizzas by a most friendly, attentive and courteous line staff. Even though it was a dinner rush everyone was treated like a regular both adults and kids alike. The final product, a custom pie (The Mega, a double 11" double crust) was beautifully crisped on the bottom and golden bubbly on the top and ready in only 10 minutes. For the true pizza fan -as many toppings for one price, awesome crust, fresh salads, good beer on tap and courteous staff MOD is a must.... read more

MOD Pizza - The mega - Fast Food Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I have been to this MOD pizza a half dozen times, mainly because my husband can get GF, no-dairy, no-eggs pizza here (he gets the BBQ chicken) and the pizza is tasty. To those who think it isn't good, I guess you should put a better combo of ingredients on your pizza. Is it the pizza you get in the "fancy" places where a margherita will run you $17 for the same size? No, but it satisfies my pizza cravings just fine. I have finally settled on "my" pizza: pesto, basil, mozzarella, mushrooms, roasted garlic, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, chickpeas, and feta. The service is always acceptable, and sometimes pretty good. Today (Mother's Day), we had the best experience yet. The woman who served us was petite with dark, curly hair (one complaint: you should get name tags). She not only asked all of the things I'm sure they make their employees ask (about GF, dairy-free stuff), but she did so in a friendly way, like she actually enjoyed being there. She happily put on my plethora of toppings, and then asked if I had ever tried the balsamic fig glaze. Uh, no, but it sounds amazing! So I got that and it was really good. She then told me that they were giving moms free pizza, and I told her that I was "just a cat mom." She said "that counts!" and gave me the free pizza. Overall, she epitomized the level of customer service that I would expect from a small-town store in the 50s, without being overbearing...just a breath of fresh air compared to much of the customer service I experience these days. Okay, I just went complete old lady on you, but seriously, she was fantastic! read more

After a failed attempt at ordering decent pizza from Veraci on Market Street we drove here to see if this new chain had anything to offer of higher quality. Sad to say folks this place is Subway for pizza. If you're a pizza snob like myself. Three stars for the great atmosphere and kind folks running the establishment. Great spot for kids. read more

What great Pizza and what great people. The variety of choice is huge and always the freshest ingredients including their salads. Employees treat you as a person, not a number, always friendly, kind and efficient. They want you to be satisfied with both your meal and service. I have come here many times and have never been disappointed in either cuisine or service. Eat in or take out it is always delicious. One of my main go to places. read more

Whoa. I don't know why I haven't checked this place out sooner?! You can get a custom pizza with all the fixings--for a preset price. Magical! Beers on tap and milk shakes and sustainable, compostable silverware! I had asparagus on my pizza--YUM! read more

I absolutely love the pizza from Mod Pizza. When they get it right. Prior to this week I would've given Mod at least 4/5 stars if not 5/5. I've been to the Ballard location at least every other week since it opened since my partner and I have vastly different tastes in pizza (red sauce or no red sauce?). We were such regulars that one of the managers and a bunch of the servers recognized us on sight. Mod always solved our sauce dilema and was always delicious! But there was always the drawback of the line -- which was avoidable with online orders or by going at different times. Plus since I liked red sauce, and their red sauce was good, I was very very happy. However they had the ability to get my pizza wrong even when I was watching them make it where they'd pull it out, it'd be burnt so they'd do a rebake and then forget items. This was my 4/5 star complaint. It happened a few times with online orders being incorrect too. Whatever they're busy and they always remade things and made it right by the customer. We kept going back cause the food was just that good and the customization was unbeatable. But this past week I had an unforgiveable experience at Mod that took it up an annoying level and into a problem level. 1) I ordered pizza online - specifying my toppings in their online customizer. 2) My partner went to pick up the pizza and waited a long time (30 mins after the time we were told it'd be ready for pickup) before discovering that the pizza hadn't been made and they didn't have the online order even though he had the email of our order that I'd forwarded him as a confirmation with order id. 3) Thankfully Mod honored this email confirmation eventhough they didn't have it in their system and they made our pies. 4) The pies they made were wrong. Ingredients were missing. I had pineapple and olives on my pizza -- neither of which I ordered. They forgot the pesto and feta and garlic. You can see this pie was very different. My partner's was missing an ingredient but wasn't so gross tasting. The ingredients they used for the remake were from our order -- they wrote them down from the email. I checked the email there was no misclick and pineapple or olive in mine, and I never forget my feta. Of course we didn't notice this till he was home and by that point I was over it. 5) My credit card company just informed me that there was an $8 tip on a $23 online order. Mind you, there is NO way to enter a tip in their online ordering system. This tip is in the process of being refunded to me but alas, this is just one mistake too many. (not immediately refunded because they have one point of sale so I was asked to call back later when it's not the middle of the lunch rush - again, they're slammed) NOTE: I was not told where this $8 add on to the bill came from, so who knows. I get you're busy and you get slammed. Using that as an excuse for messing up pies is bad, using it as an excuse for losing orders is worse, using it as an excuse for not being able to refund me money that I couldn't have been charged and is something someone on Mod's end would've had to charge me is inexcusable. This former lover of Mod is returning to Pagliacci where we'll alternate between red sauce and no red sauce eventhough Pagliacci is more expensive. read more

Cheap! But tastes that way too. The pizza crust had no real flavor but the plus side is you can load up on toppings as you pay per pizza no matter how many toppings. I ate here with 2 people for 13 bucks and we left satisfied. We split a pizza with lots of topping and a salad with lots of toppings. Can't say I will be going back much as it wasn't very good and I rather pay more and get some pizza I love. read more

Fun employees and still chipper even though super busy. I might argue "Super Fast" though. It took about 20 minutes to go through the line to order, then another 30. About the same if I went to any other place that didn't claim to be "Super Fast." Good pizza for the price. Just may have to figure out how to deliver on bring faster. read more

The service is amazing! I love the staff here. They will make you feel welcome and well taken care of. It's a very casual atmosphere and the pizza is simple and great! read more

What I got home with wasn't even close to what I ordered online, but my name was hand-written on the box, so I didn't bother checking. Too hungry to spend time walking back and asking for a new one, and it was pretty cheap, so whatever. Won't go back. read more

This place is managed by the *best* people. I ordered 2 pizzas in advance, but when I got there the orders weren't right. They made 2 new pizzas on the spot, said I could keep the other ones, and didn't question my challenge to them at all. Later when I got home I discovered I had messed up and placed an order for an item on the wrong pizza. I called them and apologized, but they said they just wanted to make sure I was happy. I'll go back there any time. Oh, and their pizzas are super good - made to order, quick and delicious. They really know how to deliver outstanding customer service. read more

Staff is super friendly, very high energy, very customer oriented. Pizza comes in two sizes with many choices of topping. Also several salad choices are offered. Great prices, nice selection of beer, soft drinks, and more. Did I say YUMMY PIZZA?? I'm older, so the super loud music is my only complaint, but I'm probably in the minority. Nice choice of inside or outside seating. I'll definitely go back.... read more

The pizza is great and I love that our can family make their own pizza's. BEWARE: the Ballard location is a zoo with toddlers and babies galore, EVERYBODY in the store had a baby/toddler and they ALL were letting them run around like it was the bouncy ball house at IKEA. read more

Been here a couple of times - the "Winston" w/Pesto is fantastic and the mega-salad, with your choice from the fixin's is delicious and a great deal.
