I stopped in yesterday to grab a mod pizza and chose all of my own toppings and had a little cake. There was no one in line when I stopped in so I was surprised that the staff had me standing there until they decided they were done rolling dough or whatever to stack the trays I guess to prep for a busy afternoon. It was odd to just stand there and be ignored. But, alas I got my pizza and dipped out.

Pizza being put on the table directly

They over promise the estimated ready time and had a crowd of people waiting at the pick up area. My order was not ready until 12 minutes after the estimated time in the app. They would just put the pizza directly on the dirty table before being put in a box.

Greek salad

The salads here are amazing and people are always pretty friendly! However it is pretty clear the workers don't know what's in the salads and are reading the wall. Maybe put some ingredient lists on the window barrier thing so it's easier for them to see, that's what we did when I worked at subway.

MOD Pizza has a very clever process for people to make their own pizzas. You have a choice to pick either one of the suggested pizzas or to make your own. It seems like most people make a custom pizza. The steps are really straight-forward. They have three crusts (including a gluten-free one)--I just chose the original. Next is the sauce--I just went with the red sauce, but there are five other choices. Next is the cheese--I went mainly with mozzarella with a little bit of parmesan. They have a really hug selection of vegetables and other stuff--I went with green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. The quality of them were all high. The final for me was the meat, where I chose the mild sausage. They put it on pretty generously. You also have some options to add over this, but I did not pick any. They have a nice oven and the pizza seemed to take about 5-7 minutes. It is not the best pizza (I like a thinner crust), but really good and it is nice that you can order it so quickly just the way you like it. I can see why this place is so popular.

You can't really go wrong with MOD. It is one of the best Build Your Own places around. The toppings are always consistent, and the servers don't act stingy when you ask for extra toppings. The Create Your Own pizza is the best bang for the buck; for $10, I have never finished a whole pie in one meal. They have generic beer on tap and also are fairly cheap. The people are friendly and do not hesitate to ask for any weird customizations if you want. MOD is the best place to be weird at.

The staff here is so nice!! They're always cracking jokes and having friendly conversations w/ the customers :) They're also very accommodating - personally, I love LOTS of veggies on my pizza, so they're really understanding and always make mine exactly the way I'd like. During this time, they're only offering takeout but they have one large table outside that you are allowed to eat at (if you really want outside in the cold lol). Note: picture is pre-pandemic when we were allowed to dine-in

MOD has become my favorite place for a pizza fix. The staff are fun and friendly. You've gotta try the Tristan: pesto and veges - yummy!

Coastline Burgers

After math tutoring, my son announced he was "starving" (as teenagers do) and wanted something…read morequick. I suggested fast-casual, and he promptly discovered Coastline Burgers like he'd uncovered a hidden gem. Meanwhile, I had a flashback to a fancy dinner here with my husband back in 2008 in the Historic Stone House of Redmond--so clearly, we were both feeling nostalgic and hungry. First win: **parking.** In downtown Redmond. A true miracle. Second win: the vibe--warm, welcoming, cozy, and matched perfectly by genuinely friendly staff. My son kept it classic: plain cheeseburger, fries, and a cookies-and-cream milkshake. His official review: "Five out of five stars." His unofficial review: intense nodding while eating and zero leftovers. So yes, according to a very serious teenage food critic, this place is elite.

I wanted to like Coastline Burgers more than I had, especially since it's always a busy spot in…read moredowntown Redmond in the most charming building that's still standing when everything else is modernizing. But unfortunately, just like when I first tried Coastline Burgers in Kirkland, I thought it was A-O-K. Some positives of Coastline Burgers are that there's dedicated parking right by the building, is centrally located to the park, Redmond Town Center and other businesses downtown, and the friendly staff and outdoor seating. Again, the stone house building that Coastline snagged is truly a win for the place since it's one of the few historic buildings still standing in the area. But when it comes down to the actual food, the reason why you come here, I can't say I was all that jazzed. I ordered the classic burger with an extra patty, fries and a side of ranch. Is it weird that the best part of my meal was their house-made ranch? I know my ranches, and this one slaps. It's zesty, creamy and flavorful, which is what you need for dipping. This made the skinny fries all the more tolerable. However, I should say that in general, I'm not a fan of skinny fries where you need to grab a bunch to chomp on. But they're decent. They were crispy and freshly fried, so that was cool. But the burger was the biggest disappointment. I think the bun to beef ratio was off, tasting more of the dry bun than anything else. The beef itself was not bad, but wish it was just a tad more seasoned, especially to cut through the dry bun. But it was juicy and not well-done, which I liked, including my dog! Overall, for getting a burger in downtown Redmond in a casual spot where you don't have to wine and dine, Coastline Burgers is one of the few options to do so, if not the only one...question mark? If you're willing to spend more and not in a hurry, I'd recommend walking over to one of the restaurants around that serves a quality burger.

Located in Redmond, WA, the Third Place is a full-service Korean restaurant with a full menu of…read moreKorean favorites, known for their Korean Fried Chicken (KFC). Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

Temporarily Closed per the sign on the door. Was looking forward to trying it out! I hope they…read morere-open soon. No date was posted, basically a "we will let you know"

I'll be honest I was not impressed at all. It's just an upscale Taco Bell that's it but they make everything homemade. I will say the service is always amazing when I go there, but I don't like that. They close at 10pm we walked in at 9:35 and asked if we still had time, they were super nice seated us right away. My wife ordered a jalapeño margarita and it was one of the best she's had. We both ordered a Tipsy burger she kept the fries I upgraded to onion rings for $3. The burgers were cooked to perfection and delicious. The only bad was the onion ring upgrade was only 4 rings or 75cents each. If you read other reviews I'm an onion ring snob. These were ok not worth 75cents each. I tend to let my wife order for me so she can scratch all the craving itches she might have during our meal here. I had one gripe about my meal. I upgraded to onion rings to my order. My order included four onion rights. Compared to the amount of fries my wife got with her meal, I thought the amount of onions rings in my order was on the side of too few. Oh wells.
