This is a long one. I only order here out of convenience. If there was another McDonalds in this area I'd happily go there instead. On numerous occasions they've messed up my order both in person and online DoorDash, day and night. As someone who's worked in fast food before I have empathy towards the workers especially late nights with just a few people on board. With that being said, if you sign up for late nights, make sure you CAN do those nights. What I mean is, don't be so damn cranky to customers especially when they aren't looking to fight you. Last night for example it was close to 1am my partner and I did drive thru. There was a line but nothing too crazy. We got our app code ready and gave it to them. We started ordering however the employee cut us off after just two items? We had to tell them we aren't done ordering. Hastily they retracted and continued the order without placing it on the screen for us to see. To note we ordered: 2 spicy mc chickens, 1 regular mc chicken with extra mayo and pickle, two fries. We said this loud and clear multiple times WITH them.. they then rushed us over to the window. We paid, rolled over to the next window. Our order was clarified again with a worker- another person comes over saying "no you only paid for one spicy mcchicken. I'm not going to give you a free one." I start taking out my wallet again "okay? We'll happily pay again to get the other one-" cut off "Or I can void the transaction. I can refuse the service" dude what? You guys got our order wrong. Not our fault. Why are you trying to start a fight with us? "We'll just take what you made.." we get it and go home. Guess what we ended up getting? Two mcchickens (1 extra mayo and the other just two pickles inside), 1 medium fry, 1 large fry (was filled only half way so I gave my partner most of mine), and one spicy mc chicken. To remind you, I understood that it was late and there are just a few people there. However, if you sign up for the late shift, check your attitude and bags before sending them out. You need a new staff working in this location. If someone orders an ice water instead of soda due to medical conditions, then substitute the sugar drink with the ice water not a bottle of water. The person at the pickup window can hear the conversation and can substitute it. Maybe train your staff better and get an older manager in this location not a youngster. It's not hard to type in the request or add a button with drinks. It all depends on who is working that day. read more

This location has gone down hill big time. Every time I've been hear this past year it takes 20 or more minutes to get your food and most of the time they mess up the order. Right now I'm waiting at lunch time, hardly anyone here, drive thru isn't busy outside, and it's already been 20 minutes. I would get faster food at a regular restaurant. This is not a fast food location. Update: food arrived after 25 minutes and order was all messed up. Not worth complaining and waiting. So I order and pull forward and the guy in the window is real snotty - like he's got a chip on his shoulder. I pay him and he's just acting arrogant and sneers at me. So I get my card back and he closes the window and stares at the wall. I'm sitting there waiting for my receipt, but he's busy taking another order and won't even look at me - though I'm trying to get his attention. I wait 3 or 4 minutes and then he just walks away into the kitchen. The line is building up behind me but I want my receipt. For some strange reason I don't trust this kid. After several; minutes he comes back and he STILL won't look at me. People start honking and then he finally looks around and sees me so he opens the window and angrily tells me to move forward, I tell him I'm still waiting for my receipt. So he makes a big fuss like he can't believe some honky would bother him for that and actually yells at me as he throws the receipt into my car. Yes, I had a word with the manager! Consistently the single most dysfunctional McDonalds location I've ever been to. I end up here on occasion as the kiddos will demand to have their cheeseburger and nuggets quota filled. Count on your order being wrong but don't bother double checking the bag. Last week, an order with 2 cheeseburger meals and a mc crispy meal. They forgot the mc crispy, one of the burger meal's fries and didn't put cheese on any of the burgers. This week, a raw mc crispy...utterly disgusting...with no pickles. As if the 100% error rate wasn't bad enough, inside you'll find an absolutely filthy store that's regularly out of soap and towels. So, so, SO nasty. I have no idea how McDonald's allows this location to remain open. It's a terribly rundown, unmaintained, and fairly dirty location. You can see this starting outside, with rotting wood and lack of paint in many areas. It's literally falling apart in places. Once you enter, it doesn't get any better. The floor has the odd greasy film grossness that those of you who have worked in fast food will know from the kitchen area. Good fast food operators ensure their floors are cleaned in the kitchen several times a day to keep it at bay. Places like this allow that floor "feeling" to migrate throughout the restaurant, including into the public areas. This is one of the latter. Counters are either dirty or have swirl marks from being cleaned with a dirty cloth. Spills and stains abound on many surfaces. The handwashing sink up front looks like it has mold around it. Spots of black something are in other places on, around, and under counters, drink machines, condiment stations, and more. The playground is closed. We asked why and were told it's been closed for months because "something unsafe in there needs to be fixed." But no one has bothered actually to fix it. We certainly will not be returning to this rundown dump of a McDonald's. read more

If I could give the McDonalds location zero stars I would. This location is the rarest to home so we visit the drive through a couple of times a month. For the last few months every trip they've gotten our order wrong, including today. Typically they will miss one sandwich or one order of fries. They are almost guaranteed to mess up the sandwich- we always order a plain hamburger for my younger one and they will include the ketchup, mustard, pickle and onions, none of which my daughter will eat. Even if we try to remove these afterwards the sandwich retains the taste she doesn't like and she ends up not eating. Today I decided to go into the store to pick up my order and lucky I did, because they missed a sandwich and then when I pointed it out they made it wrong. It's absurd their ordering system allows customization but the employees are not trained to follow through. Given the frequency this happens I believe it's a systemic problem rather than any particular employee in this location. Also while I was there inside another customer came in fuming - he'd been waiting for curbside delivery for over 10 minutes and it never came. Long wait at the car drive, to finish the painful experience, they forgot the BBQ sauce and ketchup in the kid meal. Funny enough I repeated the order to the person in charge of delivering the meal, he confirmed they were with the meal, nope still missing. So my wife ordered through their app before left home and gave me the order number and asked me to pick it up, when I got there 20 minutes later, I didn't see our order so I asked the staff there, he looked at the order on my phone and walked away, I thought he went in an check but apparently not, just disappearing avoiding me, then 5 went by so I asked the second staff, same thing happen so I asked the third staff and tell him I need to see the manager and show him the order, he came back after 5 minutes and said His manager told him nothing they can do unless my wife press "I'm already here" button on the app, so I called my wife but unfortunately the app kept crashing when she try to open it so unable to tap the "I'm already here" button, I asked the staff there, can you just process it according to the order and show them the order in my email, but they refused and said nothing they can do without we clicking on the "I'm already here" button in the app even though my credit card has already been charged. I know for sure manager in any store can make an exception and can just process the order if they really wanted to and had the proper training and understand what Customer Service is, but apparently not the Redmond Way (Redmond, WA) staff (and Manager). read more

Some locations are definitely better than others; this location is decidedly in the latter category right now. Plus: - They have a good size play area outside. I'm sure parents appreciate it. Tuesday is the worst Manager and shift leader ever in the history of McDonald's I go in hungry after my 12 hour shift at work and I go in trying to order some food I pay for a four piece chicken tender, which is 699 before tax. I get a free McChicken And I end up walking out with four piece, chicken nuggets and a McChicken so they are charging me for the tenders and only giving me nuggets. I go back and complain and they give me a my chicken tenders and let me keep the nuggets and then while I was there, I decided to order a plain Sunday and they end up giving me a chocolate sundae. Every single time I go and Joel is working my food is either messed up missing or just completely wrong and they still charge me for it This needs to get fixed ASAP if I go in and pay for the food I want I better come out with the food I paid for not no substitutes. This previously rundown McDonald's, now freshly remodeled and nice inside and outside is fine for the regular things like burgers and fries. However, the menu does not include milkshakes of any flavor, which is highly disappointing. I won't go back for this reason. Every other fast food restaurant around town has milkshakes, no problem. This is hard to believe at McDonald's. I think they will probably lose customers due to the competition. I mean, it's summer time, and most people want their milkshakes during this season! My son checked his sandwich before taking a bite. It obviously looks like someone took a bite out of the patty. We come to this McDonalds regularly and I would not recommend coming here. Sometimes you have a hankering for McDonalds fries and you really can't get the same taste anywhere else (for better or worse) The McDonalds in the area are doing some changes to accommodate the challenges with the pandemic. But the issue is that the rules for each location is different. This McDonalds in the Redmond area is great for me because it allows for ordering takeout on premises (in this case, walking inside the store, socially distanced of course). In comparison, the McDonalds closest to me in Bellevue only allows drive through, pre-orders for pickup through the McDonalds app or third party apps. This is great if you can drive or love McDonalds enough to have an app or order enough from third parties to justify delivery costs or eliminate them. But if you are spontaneously going because you are in the area and DON'T drive, not being able to order easily is a disadvantage. I would be fine ordering outside (not through the drive thru window though lol) as long as I don't need to think and plan for it. So I was glad that you can do so in the Redmond area. I went inside, I order at the counter and waited around 10-15 minutes. The place was clean and everyone was wearing masks and the 1-2 other customers were distanced from each other. The ordering and retrieval of the food was quick and efficient and mostly tastes like I remember, which is all I ask for. Plus they had the spicy McChicken which is rare (though not as spicy as I remembered). read more
