I'm honestly trying to get through the day without heading back to this place again! MOD PIZZA is the BOMB! My most recent visit I decided to try one of their unlimited toppings salad's. OMG it was the BEST salad that I've ever had in my life and no one will ever compare or come even close to the delicious, well portioned, FRESH ingredients that I had! I ordered the MOD (entree size) and it was large enough to feed at least two people if not three. I was worried there would be more lettuce than toppings but that wasn't the case at all! The lettuce was equally distributed amongst all the delicious toppings that I ordered including anchovies (hey, those were some DAMN good anchovies and gave the salad a nice tinge of salt flavor). I ordered Romaine and Mixed Greens as my lettuce base and I cannot believe how FRESH the lettuce was! By far, the best I've ever had at a restaurant or for takeout. They have a wide variety of dressings available, and I received two of each that I requested; which was also a nice surprise. If you're on the fence about this place; don't be. I've officially found my new favorite pizza/salad spot and am also greatly appreciative they are open 7 days a week and on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday they don't close until 11 pm. Service was good late at night and we were glad because nothing much was open, but the pizza didn't cut it for us. We got the cauliflower crust because we're eating low carb and honestly, I thought I was eating cardboard. They really need to improve their recipe for the low carb crust and not charge like it's a luxury item. read more

The pizza is here are always tasty and good. It's the only place I know that provides a personal touch to where you can build your own pizza from crust to sauces to topping. I like that you can personalize your pizza and don't appear it costs extra to add more than a few items unlike other places. You can also get cauliflower crust which I find pretty good! Their lemonade drinks were also delicious. I mixed all the flavors to make my own drink and it was so flavorful. The only problem we encountered was that they burnt my pizza originally so we had to wait like 10 more mins for mine to be done. I wish the thin crust option was crispier than they made mine but they may have been worried they were going tk burn it again. I am not sure. I'd go back if I were nearby and in a rush and wanted pizza or a big salad. I have had their salads in the past and think those are a good value but def not known for the salads. read more

The sign out front says "MOD Superfast", but it's anything but fast. They only ever have one person making pizzas, regardless of how busy it is, and it takes this person about 3 minutes to make a pizza. So if there's ten people ahead of you... easy math, it's a thirty minute wait. The manager needs to watch some videos on process optimization. MOD pizza was lovely! Very similar concept to Blaze pizza. This was our first time there and immediately I was blown away by how clean the restaurant was. All staff were so friendly and walked us thru the ordering process. They provided suggestions for toppings and our pizza was fresh, fresh, fresh! Came for pizza at 4:07 pm today and the workers said they were closed because they had no manager. Weird!

No body in line. One table of 3 already eating. Standing waiting in line for 15 the guy continues to ignore and act like we aren't there then walks away. Another employee walks up. "Have you been helped?" "Nope. No one has talked to us even." "Oh. He'll be back in a few." After another 6-7 minutes the guy returns with attitude spinning the pizza oven spatula. "Oh, I guess he's prepping in the back." So I said, "no worries. I guess you are too busy to help yourself?" Then came the attitude. Both of these guys need to be fired. Rude, entitled, lazy, and obviously sloppy, these guys need to be dismissed. To the owner of Mod. You need to dismiss these guys. Businesses, especially food establishments, thrive and prosper on their overall reputation. Food taste and quality account for 25% of one's dining experience. Ambiance and vibe account for another 25%. The customer service and the human interaction accounts for the remaining 50%. First time here and we LOVE IT!!! The pizza artEEsts are super friendly. They'll chat with you as you move through the stations, but they work fast at the same time. You choose your crust and cheese, and then move on down the line choosing each topping you would like...all for the same price. If you want more of something, they'll put on more. But keep in mind, YOU will have to find a way to get it from the plate to your pie hole! And If you don't like your pizza, go find a mirror to lodge your complaints. Fresh ingredients and plenty to choose from. Wish they had green olives, but the Greek olives more than made up for it. The crust is thin and light. When your pie comes out of the oven, they have several different "drizzle" options to choose from. I went with the pesto. Yum! We had some refill mugs (from the movie theater) in our car, and they let use them for refills. These guys will do whatever it takes to make sure you are completely satisfied. So impressed with both their product and their service! I also like the open layout and the cool tunes playing over the speakers. This is our new pizza place! First time we went here to try this pizza and it will be our last. Mod means modify. So they claim, but the 2 young boys working there were prepared to talk us into ordering a pre-made pizza. As I was looking, he wrote down on a paper tab what he thought I wanted. When we told them we wanted to custom our our orders and they were rolling their eyes and asked us to order off their pre-made. They also told us the mini's, they would have to make and roll out since it wasn't ready. The main order signs on top says to customize your order, but doesn't list the items they offer. I saw the list on the internet. There were several issue with this place and how these boys handled us as customers, but I don't want to go into all the details. I'll just say, don't waste your time with this place. In the end we didn't order and left after conversing with these rude-couldn't care teenagers. Glad we did leave after reading the reviews about their cleanliness. Many fast food places don't teach proper customer service anymore. Neither does this one. read more

My pizza crust was burned and tasted bitter. Also, the top was really cold. I don't know how burnt crust and cold top is possible. My kids' pizza bubbled up so high that all the topping puddled into the same places. I was surprised that the cook didn't stop what he was doing and go pop the dough with that tool they have. When I was given the pizza I asked, "doesn't it look a little weird to you?" And as the worker handed it to me she said, "I've seen worse." I have tried to wait and give this business so many chances... we live a 1 minute walk from them and we've done pick up and delivery so many times over the past 3 years. You just never know what you will get with quality control- burnt, completely raw (raw crust, raw cheese), they leave items off delivery orders, the salad lettuce is rotten/brown (after paying $10 for a small salad)... today they charged me for a coke and didn't deliver, and the pizzas were raw- AGAIN. They send me surveys and when they are raw they just offer me more free pizzas, but they never train their staff properly or fix the problem, so you never know what you're gonna get. When you need to call once they've taken your money, you cannot get through, you have to leave a VM and wait for someone to call you back... Half of the time the pizza doesn't have reasonable ingredients on it- it's like a bird sprinkled toppings like a garnish instead of added actual toppings, I'm talking over 3 inches of plain crust around the edges and a sprinkle of sauce & cheese in the middle. It's amazing to be a pizza place and not be able to put toppings on a pizza. Order pizza from literally any other pizza place in Layton. I'm surprised this hasn't gone under yet- I wish Blaze or Pieology would come replace them- Blaze does a way better job and cares about the quality of their pizzas- they don't care here. If the bathroom is any indication of their cleaning skills, I foresee never eating here again. It was so unbelievably dirty. I can't fathom it's been cleaned in the last 3+ months. There was almost no toilet paper, barley any soap and the dryer doesn't work. Where do the staff go to the bathroom and wash their hands?!? Yikes! The staff are putting things all over the place and double contaminating. The guy cooking the pizza was just messing with his hair and then touching people's food. Everyone even looks sloppy and like they just rolled out of bed. The guy our food preparer was talking to only got every other word she said because he had his air pods in - couldn't be bothered. The overall feel of this place is just grungy and not sanitary in the slightest. 1 mini pizza and 1 salad for $40.00... they should be able to get a cleaning staff. Mod is just bloody good. I am not the biggest fan of chain pizza places, I think all of their pizzas taste the same and there is little variety between them. But Mod has done a really good job at making their pizza taste like a local shop. I love their thin Boston style crust. Their marinara sauce is good by itself but adding some pesto sauce just adds a little bit of extra goodness. Don't try the Alfredo sauce, I am pretty sure all they do is melt down some paper and pour it on the pizza. It literally has no flavor. Just trust me and get the marinara. The first time I went, I got a little too pumped that I could add whatever I wanted and it ended up looking like one of my nieces preschool art project. They take their time cooking the pizza, so be prepared to wait a minute to try heavens pizza. read more

Great crispy thin crust pizza. I like the spicy pizza sauce. Not too hot and good favor if you have then add some the extra herbs and spices you like. Don't have them load too many toppings as it doesn't cook as well. However, you can ask them to cook it longer but then the edges burn, so there is a balance to this madness. I come here often and love it. Just remember, you get what you pay for - for the MOD size pizza it's only $8. If your looking for awesome gourmet expensive, go where they make that. SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! We tried them for the first time a few weeks ago thru DoorDash. When the delivery arrived, we were upset because the size was smaller than what we are used to, but somehow it was more filling!! I hate to give two stars, because we come here quite often and my boys love to pick their toppings but pizza should not be hard to make; I did it for the majority of jobs I had growing up. Put the sauce, cheese, and toppings EVENLY on the pizza. The last three times we came in, all my toppings and cheese are in the center with nearly two inches of crust. Tonight was a bit better but there is WAY too much sauce and the pizza is undercooked with, of course, all the toppings in the center and not spread out to the crust. We will be back but as of late it's just been frustrating that our pizzas have been the way they have been. read more

This place was awesome! We were looking for a place where everyone could make their own custom pizza for a good price. The crust was perfect, the topping options were fresh and abundant. And we had three different pizzas and each of us loved our pizza. We had the garlic strips which were yummy. And the Caesar salad was delicious! I will start by saying the food was decent. My wife and I walked in at about 7:45 PM on Wednesday July 5th. There was a group of 4 already sitting with their food and a group of two that were waiting for their food. There were two people in the kitchen leaning against the prep counter ( which would be fine since they were not busy). It took several minutes to even be welcomed. Was greeted by a young lady who was obviously unhappy with her job and wasn't afraid to show it to the customers. Pure attitude. Other person started making takeout orders and putting pizzas in the oven. He was great, friendly and helpful. The entire restaurant was pretty disgusting, food scraps all over many of the tables, sticky floors, dirty dishes laying on the floor of the kitchen. I hate to give a low rating but between the employee that assembled our pizzas and the condition of the restaurant we will make the trip to the Riverdale location if we want CYO pizzas. It's unfortunate because the young man making takeout orders was great. read more
