I entered this pizza joint and the staff had no clue I was a pizza food critic! The staff was very friendly! On my pizza I got mozzarella cheese, Cilantro, pepperonis, sausages and buffalo sauce! It was very tasty! My snack got pepperonis, jalapeños, and..... pineapple O.o! Pineapple on pizza is kinda crazy but can't hate it till you try it! I believe you can put anything on a pizza lol. I was a bit skeptical that pizza could be created and cooked in only a few minutes and still taste good, but I'll say it passed the muster. Bear with me because I'm going to be giving a lot of different comparisons to other restaurants with this review. I have been waiting for this place to open for about I don't know maybe a month? I do have to say, it's is worth the wait. Honestly, I wish I could have eaten here on Monday with my boyfriend, but you know, I'll get him here eventually. This place is amazing! Take Moe's, add in the decor of Noodle's, then replace the Mexican food with Pizza and you have this place! I was able to modify one of the menu pizzas to my own liking and oh my god! I LOVE this MOD location. The employees are super friendly & they make you feel good and welcome. I love how you're "welcomed" back. The team at Rhorerstown road is a great team. I just wish they wore nametags so I could give a shout out to one of the guys there. He was awesome (truthfully though they all are). (He did our toppings) he makes sure you are happy with your toppings, makes sure you were satisfied and doesn't make you feel rushed. Everyone there makes you feel like they enjoy being there and that they are happy you're there. This is the one 'fast food' place I don't mind leaving a tip at. I am not crazy about the alfredo sauce, but the red sauce is good, the crust is thin, be mindful of you get a lot of cheese (*I speak from experience) I can't speak of the meats as I have not had any of it there. But the vegetable toppings always look and taste fresh and appealing. I have never had the gluten free crust but they do offer it! As for the other complaints having to wait so long, after ordering online, I have never ordered online so I do not have experience with it. First time I've ever had Mod Pizza, and while the idea behind it is great, the food wasn't. I could only eat half of my pizza before feeling extremely sick and nauseous. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly though, and they were handing out free ice cream while we waited in line. I also feel as if I have a headache now due to the workers constantly yelling and screaming orders and such. The place was beyond loud, their food made me so sick (& made me sick very quickly!) This is the first time I've ever said to myself "I'm never going back there again" in terms of a restaurant. Save your money, and save yourself from feeling absolutely terrible afterwards. read more

As soon as you enter, you feel welcome as the staff is very friendly & accommodating. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. The toppings, none of which are charged extra for, are fresh. Waited over 20 minutes past our time, and after asking twice about our order status discovered that half of our order was not started yet. This place is very disorganized and seems to be run poorly. A great new experience! Imagine creating your own pizza or salad and not worrying about cost. At Mod you can choose what you want, and not be surprised when you get the bill. Staff was friendly and really try to make sure you're happy with your choice. Upon my next visit I'll be a little more experienced on how to order, but for my first visit I really enjoyed the pizza and the delicious peach tea. Came here to grab a late lunch after my roommate recommended it to me. Wish I hadn't. Since it wasn't peak hours, there was no line and I was helped right away. Employees seemed friendly enough. A star for that. I ordered the Dillon James pizza instead of building my own, as it was my first time there. Seemed like a simple enough pizza to get an idea of Mod's flavor. Pizza came out quickly and I sat down to eat. Flavor was delicious- one more star. After that, however, is where the stars stop. The amount of cheese on this pizza was overkill- and as someone who LOVES cheese AND pizza, that is saying a lot. I know there are two types of cheese listed for this particular pizza, but perhaps they could half the amount on a standard pizza so you get the flavor of both cheeses but not have an overwhelming amount of cheese? Now, about 2 hours after eating my lunch, I am in bed with a horrific stomachache. Not sure if it is the over abundance of cheese (which I am not lactose intolerant or have a problem with dairy/cheese) or something else on my pizza that is causing my discomfort- but, to be quite honest, if I vomited now I think I would feel a lot better. Sharing as I was excited To eat at mod a second time. Had an unbelievable experience at the one at Belmont last week with my kids. Tried it again today with my daughter at the rohrstown rd store. I couldn't believe the difference in stores. My daughters cheese and pepperoni were full of grease/oil and mine was pretty gross. My pizza was cooked but flimsy not crispy..could've sent back but was already annoyed. Guy putting it in the oven wasn't wearing gloves And girls prepping boxes, no gloves as well and she was showing pics on her cell phone and prepping. Ordered online with more than enough time for my pizza to be made so that I could be in and out in a few moments. Arrived to pick up my pizza a HALF HOUR later and they were JUST starting it. They were NOT busy. My coworker called her order in for the same reason and they started hers only after we arrived. So we then had to wait several minutes for food that should have been ready and waiting for us. What's the point of having online ordering ahead if food isn't going to be ready for pickup??? I think I'll pass in the future. Food is okay but definitely not enough to waste work time to pickup. My coworker paid for her order in cash and was not charged for her breadsticks. Thoroughly impressed. We went on a whim while visiting town and we were blown away at the quality and taste of the food. We both made somewhat unique build-your-own pizza's and weren't really sure what to expect. The food was cooked in minutes, faster than Panera, and we were blown away by how good everything was. The ingredients were fresh, and great quality, the food tasted clean, healthy and delicious. The whole time we were eating we raved to each other about how impressed we were. The pizza was outstanding and the restaurant experience and service were very positive and encouraging. Great job. I would go here all the time if there was one where I lived. This is our 1st time here and we r in love. Each pizza is personalized like a sub at subway with a 6" or 11" pizza with any topping u can think of and no extra charge for the amount of toppings. Also like that they have to go boxes by the fountain area so u can pack n go if needed instead of waiting in line again just for a to go box. I went to MOD Pizza the first week-end in Jan. 2018. The young folks that work there are very nice. We didn't know what to expect and they were very helpful in letting us know how things worked. MOD pizza reminds me of a subway type restaurant because you choose what you want on your pizza and you can watch it being made. You can choose as many toppings as you want at no additional price. (that was nice). The crust is thin, sort of an artisan type. It was very good. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it was a bit small. I went to MOD for the first time last week and had a wonderful experience however after returning last night I can not say the same for the 2nd trip...... 1st visit: I had never been to a MOD before but I had checked out their website before hand so I had a general idea of the menu. The staff was very friendly and the young man preparing our food patient and helpful. The staff will ask you if you have ever been there before and if not they will be more than happy to walk you through how to order. We moved on down the conveyor belt style line, paid for our food and waited for our name to be yelled out that it was ready. We got an 11inch Caspian, regular portion salad, an order of garlic slices, 1 of their no name cake desserts, as well as a drink. We paid around $25 total. Now keep in mind I am petite and my partner is average sized. We split the meal and were stuffed. The salad was ready when we paid, the garlic sticks a few mins after and the pizza some time after that. They do not bring it to you so you must keep getting up mid-meal when you hear your name yelled. Personally, we didn't mind. The staff was awesome, food was well cooked, seasoned and prepared. This was on a busy Saturday night around 6:30/7 and overall it was a great experience. Last night: Walked in at around 8pm (they close at 9). There were not many patrons and it appeared they were already cleaning up (that should have been my first warning). Still I ordered a mini Caspian, mini salad, garlic strips and a peppermint milkshake to go. The young ladies who took my order and prepared my food were super friendly and eager to please. *Be careful because the tops and bottoms of their to go boxes are not connected with that little flap like most places....they are 2 separate boxes.* Got home and started tearing thru my salad which was great annnnnnnd this is where the good times end. I opened up my garlic strips which were now luke warm (understandable because the bread is very thin) and proceeded....they were burnt. I managed to eat only half before being nauseated with the char on my fingers and mouth and the sickening after taste. At this point I was certain my pizza had met the same fiery death so I flipped a piece over to check....indeed. At this point it was 3 mins to close and MOD is 15 mins from my house, I was S.O.L. So I tried a burnt piece and because of all the toppings and drizzles it wasn't as bad but I was still unable to finish it once that after taste started creeping in. The highlight of the meal was the milkshake. It was just the amount of mint and not overly sweet. I would like to stress that I am not someone who minds if things are a little well done or crispy, there are plenty of foods I enjoy well done. HOWEVER, this is like a flat bread type of pizza and the crust is very thin so when it burns....it really burns and there's no saving the taste. If I ever eat at this location again it will be to sit down so that if things are burnt I can immediately ask for a redo...... read more

FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!! Had a business meeting in Lancaster and was looking around for a place to eat when I spotted the big pizza sign. Had never been to a MOD pizza before, but I figured I'd give it a whirl. As I was walking up to the door, however, I spotted the SUPERFAST sign under the name, and I thought "Oh geez, it's probably superfast, as in fast and gross" (like another well known drive-thru pizza chain). But, I was already parked and halfway to the door, so I thought, what can it hurt? I couldn't have been more wrong about my assumptions! First of all, as I was walking up to the counter, a very nice young woman behind the counter asked if I'd ever been to a MOD pizza before, and if I was familiar with their process. I replied that I hadn't, so she explained how I could order one of their classic recipes or I could create my own, and the best part was, I could get as many toppings as I wanted for no extra charge! Sweet! But then I thought, sounds good, but the ingredients may not be very fresh (as is sometimes the case with a well known sub chain where you can get unlimited toppings). Again, I was wrong, wrong, wrong in my assumptions!! Everything was exceptionally fresh - thick slices of Canadian bacon, six different kinds of cheese to choose from - pick any or all, several different kinds of sauces, toppings galore, even artichoke hearts!! Even the crust was a surprise - when showing me the different sizes of pizza, the employee showed me very thin looking crusts - almost looked like tortillas. Was a little leery about that as well; I like tortillas, but not as a pizza crust. However, the crust baked up nice and fluffy/crispy - just perfect. When the pizza was done (seemed like only a few minutes), the staff then offered me "finishing sauces" to go with the pizza - pesto, garlic butter, balsamic fig - stop it - so delicious!!! They also had a small selection of fruit teas, as well as soda on tap. All in all, an exceptional dining experience, and an exceptional value, in my opinion. Will definitely be checking out MOD pizza in my travels - it was OUTSTANDING. I think the company should market the freshness and the value more than the speed. Speed was great, but the FRESHNESS and the VALUE FOR THE MONEY were unsurpassed! Looking on their website, I see they're also a socially conscious company. What's not to like?! read more

Convenient new location in Lancaster, PA (one of two). Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner! One of the best things about Mod Pizza is that they don't nickel and dime you for extra toppings- you can add all you want. My husband got a mini Mad Dog pizza (which is a basically a pizza covered with different types of meat) and some garlic sticks. I prefer the green route and got a medium salad (generous portion) with tons of veggies and chicken. It's nice that we can both get what we like and customize our orders! read more

Had a great experience at MOD! I got a salad, was very fresh. My god daughter got a pizza. She is 12 and really enjoyed picking her toppings. We also split a vanilla milkshake.. very tasty!
