Honestly, I love the idea of picking my toppings for a pizza however there was one flaw I noticed in this restaurant. Whenever they take out my pizza from the oven the crust and the back of the pizza would be burnt to a crisp. Great pizza at a great price, but service is hit or miss. $7.87 for a personal 11 inch pizza. I've only been to this location twice, and BOTH times they gave us someone else's pizza. Back in Nov, my hubby got the wrong one, this time, me. Really? Makes me wonder how many pizzas they mess up daily. They didn't just swap mine with someone else's, but 2 other customers also complained they got the wrong one. The first time, they gave the pizza to my hubby for free and made another one. This time I lucked out and didn't get to keep it, ha. But yeah, always check your pizza, especially if you're taking it to go. The line moves fairly quickly, however you'll still wait awhile for your pizza. We came at 530p on a Friday, it wasn't too busy yet (we were lined up against the left wall), and it still took 15-20 minutes for our pizzas. Then another 5+ minutes for mine since they gave me the wrong one. I was pretty annoyed. I don't eat pizza very often, but this is my go to because it's cheap and good. We both get the Mad Dog and add extra toppings. They should be more generous (ex: 1 oz of chicken on the entire pizza?), but at this price point, I can't complain too much. A mod size lasts me 2 meals so it's worth it compared to other places that are $3/slice or $20/pizza and don't have as many toppings. read more

Came in today for a quick bite to get my pizza fix and ordered pretty quickly. The guy who took the order was very courteous and attentive to actually doing his job which in this day and age is few and far in between. I order the Maddog pizza which had mozzarella, pepperoni, mild sausage and ground beef in a red sauce and have to say it was delicious. The serving size is $8.27 plus tax for a 11" pizza that completely filled me up. The guy making the pizza was sure to put more than enough toppings to have a great cheese to bread to meat ratio. The place it self is pretty clean and seems to be pretty kid friendly. The location also serves different beers if you partake. If you read my reviews you will know that I believe the downfall of many chain restaurants is a lack of consistency. That is not the case at MOD. A favorite of ours in West County St. Louis, the staff at this MOD location is, well just plain super. The young man who helped us is from Detroit and was as gracious an employee as all managers desire. He listened, made pleasant conversation and made a great pie. 40 mph winds lifted an outdoor umbrella out of the stand and put it in the parking lot. I was bringing the umbrella back, when the employees rushed out to do their job. The supervisor on duty was just as caring and courteous as the young man from Detroit. I have to brag on this location. Bare with me for this long review. I am 3 months pregnant and have been GOING THROUGH morning sickness the entire time. It's been pretty awful. I finally am feeling decent today and the baby wanted pizza. I threw on some clothes and threw my hair up on top of my head. Let's be completely honest, I look like a hot mess.. I walked into Mod and was the only customer. I was immediately greeted by the two gentlemen working. Right after, one of the guys tells me that I just have this glow about me and I am just "glowing". He said this multiple times, and was extremely sweet about it. I told him I'm actually pregnant so it's gotta be the pregnancy glow! He tells me congratulations and proceeded to comp my meal. Y'all, I have seriously felt awful for 3 months and haven't had an energy to put and effort into my physical appearance. He completely made my day. And the pizza is always great! Wife, the kids and I went here today. The guy behind the counter with the Razorbacks hat on was friendly was making things happen. Great service! We ordered: Mod Jasper and a Mod #3 (can't remember the name on that one) and a mini Maddy and mini Mad Dog and a Mod Salad. Ordered 2 waters and 2 sodas for 32.00!! A bargain and the pizza was AMAZING! Great Italy Style Pizza in a Brick Oven Style Pizza. Service and Pizza was better than Grimaldi's in La Centerra. Will Defintely come back and eat there again! The fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic with Covid-19 rates on the rise this has been the most unsanitary establishment I've been to. There were 4 people working the line and an additional 4-5 in that same area. They were touching things, their faces, beards and proceeded to prepare food with the same gloves. A worker put the wrong toppings on a customers salad and failed to alert them in case of a food allergy. On top of all of that the staff was rude. I will find a different location to visit. Sorry Blaze Pizza, I think it's safe to say that MOD Pizza has won me over! I came here on a Saturday night in suggestion of my friends. The inside looks slightly upscale urban-like (if that even makes sense) which is nice. If you've ever been to Blaze Pizza, it's the same concept where you choose the toppings that you want on your pizza. The only big difference is that this place actually taste good. Their crust is not overly crunchy and their cheeses taste surprisingly fresh. I also went ahead and grabbed one of their cinnamon sticks (which turned out not to be sticks at all) with the chocolate dipping sauce. I mean, it's no Cinnabon but it comes in as a good second. I really recommend this place to all you pizza lovers. To top it all off (get it? Toppings?), the staff is really nice and helpful. So give it a try! read more

I've eaten at another Mod location previously, however this one is closer to home. It's something I wanted the kids to try out and it's the perfect solution for picky pizza eaters. Mod's allow you to build your own pizza and salad with unlimited quality ingredients/toppings. First you pick the size and then you can make a selection from their recipe of ingredients or you can build your own. The staff was friendly and patient (w/Kids), so the process is pleasant. The decor is relaxing inside, also depending on the weather you may want to enjoy the seating outside that they provide. Overall it's a welcomed addition to Katy, and it's on the go to list for pizza from now on. Recommendation: I always choose the Mini Pizza and a Mini Salad. Its filling and you get the best of both worlds. If salad is not your thing, and you are really hungry I would recommend the Mod size pizza. The mini is mini, but delicious! read more

The staff (however nice) is all over the place and everything is very sloppy behind the counter. There was no clear direction on where to wait for your pizza and I stood there feeling uncertain. 1st I have learned new patients during these hard times with staffing issues and such BUT there were no staffing issues at the Katy location and they were not that busy. They messed up my order twice, put so much garlic on it, it wasn't edible. They remade it and it tasted good. While I was waiting at the table my husband paid for our pizzas and when we sat down to eat them he noticed mine was a mini (which is the size I ordered) and his was the regular MOD size. The cashier charged us for 2 MODS. At this point we didn't want to go back up to the cashier and wait in line for a correction because our pizza was getting cold. By far the best pizza I've had since living in Texas (5 years now). Their "mad dog" pizza is SO full of flavor and it's absolutely delicious! I also ordered the "Tristan". I love MOD but this location definitely let me down!!! I usually go to the Aliana (richmond, tx) location. This location was extremely different from my regular location. No one greeted us when we got there... no big deal. I walked over to where the online pick up was. And waited about 5 mins for anyone to even ask my name. They said my order was not ready.. which I understood because I was about 10 mins early. I waited and waited. The person taking out the pizza never once acknowledged me. I waited over 10 mins past my order time. Multiple people walked in and received their orders. The person taking out the pizza did everything to avoid me. I said excuse me twice and he never responded. I could see a order which I believed was mine. (4 mods 1 mini) It wasn't till I spoke loudly to a different person that she asked me my name again and said yea your pizza has been ready a long time ago!!!
