After reviewing on the website, I thought what the heck let's see what they have to offer where good pizza is served. (Catch the play on words there?). They do serve pizza by the slice, it is pricey at $9.73(w/tax) per slice. I ordered a medium(only medium and large offered) pepperoni. I was taken back by the cost of $23.80 for a medium pizza and small drink. I have to say when the pizza arrived, the presentation was very nice. They use some type of cheese that produces a lot of grease on the pizza. I have to say even though the crust seemed a little under done in the center and it didn't pass the hold up test. The flavor was like a "Flavor Bomb" going off in my mouth. I could taste the Parmesan and Basil and the outer crust was nice and crispy. Their cheese and peppers is served in individual envelops even in the restaurant. On a Great Note: one of the best tasting pizzas I've had in a while and I eat lots of pizza. They have coke products that are pretty basic, looks as if they sell beer on tap as well. The restroom was clean. The restaurant itself is small, they have a small counter area to sit by the register and four, two person tables. The service was great, Ms. Dahlia was fantastic. Pleasant and always had a smile on her face. The other lady in the store was nice as well. The four stars was based solely on price, everything else was fantastic. i think reading the amazing reviews for rpblc gave me higher standards than normal. this is definitely a place you get take out from -- i would not recommend dining in here. i got the 16" republic pizza which was $18. it was fine. definitely not worth $18. despite getting our order right out of the oven, my crust felt almost stale. it was quite salty as well. however, it was nice to have at least two meals' worth of leftovers. the 16" republic ii pizza with meatballs on just half of it was $21. this one's crust felt much fresher and not as chewy. the caesar salad was $8 and a pretty big. the lettuce was fresh and the dressing tasted unique (in a good way). the cannolis were $3 each. the cream filling was a bit sweet but it was pretty good. personally i don't think i'll be back. read more

We'd heard about RPBLC from some folks we trust. We were looking for a new 'za joint and decided to give this one a try. As everyone else has attested to, the pies are large. Like, I had trouble getting the pizza box in my car. It took up the entirety of my passenger seat. Beyond that, the service is speedy and polite and the pizza itself is delicious. It leans New York style and all the ingredients seem to be good quality. The space itself doesn't exactly leave room for dine-in so consider this more for a takeout situation. They offer curbside pickup, but the parking lot is a little odd and there don't appear to be marked spaces for the curbside so I just parked and went in. Wasn't a big deal. Reminder to Self: skip the shredded parmigiana next time, as it made the pizza too salty. For $26.99, the TX-sized pie justifies the price tag as they are very large slices and can feed a family of four easily. Beware: limited seating so prepare to takeout and getting to the Katy food Hall strip mall is a bit challenging. Customer service was okay. Ate this pizza at a holiday party and immediately had to know where it came from. Now we are here!! BEST NEW PIZZA JOINT IN TOWN!! If there are any bad reviews on here, those people are probably lovers of Dominos, Pizza Hut or Little Caesars....this crust is insane!! Not as BIG as NY Street style pizza, but pretty darn close!! I barely finished 2 slices. Only ONE size pizza comes with 8 slices.... They could easily be cut into 16 slices and feed more!! So happy to find this GEM!! read more

Let's start with the crazy size of the largest pies. They are immense. Service seems prompt. I made an order for pick-up and everything was ready upon arrival. Tiny little spot that has a good deal of potential because of prime location. However, the pizza although immense in size it's a bit lacking. Very little sauce. Cheese is not to my liking (let me add I was born and raised in the NYC/NJ area so pizza is pretty much in my blood). But it is a thin pie. It's very light in weight. Sadly my pizza was a little cold and soggy by the time I got home. Overall this is place that I would like to try again with a fresh order and eat in house or parking lot depending on crowd. This little pizza joint recently opened in the Katy area. Walking in, you'll notice how clean and organized everything is. It's small and there are only 4 tables inside. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Service was great (our second time here) and the overall vibe of this place is nice. We ordered the namesake pizza, the republic and garlic knots. On our first visit, the garlic knots were huge! This visit, they looked half the original size. It could be that they weren't finished proofing all the way. I could understand that since more people arrived to place orders. The knots are tasty! But, another flavorful thing included is the garlic dipping sauce. Really delicious. It tasted like a cross between toum and a Caesar salad dressing. We ordered an extra side of this dipping sauce! The Republic pizza was delicious. The sauce is house made and has a vibrant, fresh flavor. Honestly, if they would sell the pizza sauce and garlic dipping sauces by the quart, I'd buy them. Anyways, this pizza has: house made tomato sauce, Parmesan, mozzarella, olive oil & fresh basil. Harmonious flavors on a thin, crispy crust. Now I can't say this is a NY style pizza for sure but it reminded me of one. One important thing I forgot to mention is that they only sell one size of pizza. It's Texas sized so it's pretty damn big. Think of it as an XL pizza. Perfectly sized for a football game viewing or birthday party. When we ordered this pizza we didn't know how big it was and the reviews did not do it justice. So if you order it be aware it's HUGE! HOWEVER it's pretty good. We paid 30 for 1 pie and for how big it , id say it's pretty worth it. The associates were nice and helpful. She recommended re cooking time as she wanted us to really enjoy it which was super nice. She was friendly and joked with us. Pizza is delicious. We got the pepperoni with half onion and extra cheese. By reheating it the pizza has a nice even crunch to soft pillow ratio. Katy has a terrible pizza scene. I've tried everything in Katy, and nothing has made me want to go back. Finally we have a Pizza restaurant that is not just good, it is phenomenal, and would be phenomenal in any town/city. I guess it is a Jersey boardwalk style where they swirl the sauce on top of the cheese. I personally am not a huge fan of that style because it's not enough sauce for me, which is a shame because their sauce is really good, but I can appreciate the uniqueness of it. What makes their pizza delicious? You can tell they use high quality, fresh ingredients, and that the dough & sauce are made in house. I don't know what type of oven they use, but it's definitely not one of those conveyor belt types that the chains use. It's real pizza made with care. Be aware, they only offer one size, which is very large. It would be nice if they had different size options, but it's not a huge deal. Who doesn't like leftover pizza? I saw someone else mention that they went light on their toppings, and I do agree. I paid extra for additional toppings and I was disappointed with the amount they put on it. I'm not the kind of person that likes a loaded pizza. I prefer it to be on the lighter side when it comes to toppings, and even for me I was underwhelmed. So I hope they improve on that. read more

Easily best pizza in Katy, if you like thin crust style. Chewy/crispy crust, excellent sauce and cheese. I added black olives and a word of warning, they use an olive mix with a much stronger taste than your standard black olives. I'd avoid olives next time. read more

I've been watching Dave Portnoy do his pizza reviews for the last few days because I've been craving NJ/NYC pizza. Although I've found great Detroit Style Pizza (which i do love as well but isn't my preference), i have yet to find any good NJ/NYC type pizza here in Texas since I moved here 2 years ago. I was told the best way to describe this pizza here is it's like "boardwalk" pizza.. when the young lady at the restaurant said this to me my eyes lit up.. being from jersey, nothing beats eating a great slice of pizza from the boardwalks of jersey by the beach.. and this pizza brought me back home.. It's really that good.. and it's by far the best pizza in Texas.. they only have 1 size pie and it is literally the size of Texas lol.. my only complaint is there was barely any sausages on the pie.. but other than that everything is great. amazing! amazing!! amazing!!!.. i finally found my go to pizza spot!!! read more
