When I visited this restaurant, it took a long time for the pizza to be ready. I did complaint, and they made it right for me. When a company listens to their customers, it does mean a lot. Disgustingly rude! My family and I have supported this business since they opened... it used to be great. It definitely has gone downhill but still okay for the family. Sadly, the last couple of orders has been of a low quality, even getting the wrong order. Today I tried to place an order and spoke with someone who was short and rude in tone. It is too early in the day to be upset, not that anyone in service should ever be upset but I know things happen. Ordered a pepperoni magnifico and cheese bread last night for delivery. What I received was a greasy, soggy mass of wet, oily crust that the pepperonis just slid off of. Didn't taste it because it was so greasy that the crust was like a lukewarm sponge full of oil. I kid you not. Decided to order a pizza from here for convenience and to give this place a second chance. Surprisingly, the cheese bread was without grease and palatable. Called and was issued a refund. Customers should not be able to wait in drive thru for their pizza if it's going to be more then 2 minutes especially when it's cars behind you. We waited for 7 minutes before before the car in front left for us to get to our pizza. This is an inconvenience that can cause people's food to be cold and that's not what anyone pays for. For us to call the store and be told ummmm it's nothing we can do about it, is not okay and is not good customer service. Marcos pizza is always a hit! The staff is friendly and the owner is always working hard along with her staff. I've ordered probably everything on their menu by now and never have left overs. In 2022, Jack Butorac visited five Marco's Pizza restaurants in Ohio and he was excited by the quality and consistency of the food and customer service that Marco's Pizza had. I can say without hesitation that I agree with Mr. Butorac. My first stop was at this Marco's Pizza. I ordered a large pizza with Old World Pepperoni and Green Olives. I had never seen a pizza place offer Old World Pepperoni, so I was pleasantly surprised. I was quoted fifteen minutes. The store front sits in a relatively new shopping center along Grand Parkway. It is right across from Gallery Furniture. Inside, it has a modern feel to it with a little "Italian country side" feel to it. The staff was super friendly and welcomed me. I had arrived about five minutes too early so the pizza wasn't ready. The pizza came out in time. Once home, I popped open the box and just loved the presentation of the pizza. The toppings were plentiful and spread across evenly. The pizza smelled fresh. That crust...wow! It was slightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sauce was delicious too and I could taste the garlic that went into it. Cheese wasn't overwhelming and was just the right amount. Loved the Old World Pepperoni! It was crispy and spicy - just the way it should be. I fell in love with this pizza place. In fact, I ended up ordering four more pizza's that week (from different locations - following Mr. Butorac's discovery). I think Marco's Pizza has a huge potential to become a major competitor in the pizza industry. Love the history of the company, love the quality and love the consistency. read more

There used to be a Marco's Pizza closer to us in Sugar Land in the same shopping center as the Home Depot/Office Depot/Conn's on Williams Trace, but that closed a while ago. I ate at that location, and it was ok, had tables, lunch buffets, fountain drinks to go with their take out service. I can only assume this location operates the same way, we ordered a takeout of two pizzas at this location while visiting my in-laws who lives in Richmond, and I only drove and while my father-in-law went in to pick up the pizzas, so I didn't get a closer look to see if it was the same setup. A plus for all of us is that the Pizzas were hot and fresh, not greasy, and most important of all, not really salty! We ordered one on normal crust, and the other on thin crust. The normal crust was cut into the traditional wedge shaped cuts, while the thin crust was cut made as square cut (this was actually our preferred way for our pizzas to be cut, but I was surprised to find out that my wife, who placed the phone order, didn't tell them to cut it that way, interesting). For us, it seems like this would be a good alternative to Papa John's, if there is not one in the area. read more

I placed an order for delivery and was told it would arrive within 30 minutes. An hour later I called to see what's up, and was given the standard pizza chain late-delivery line, "it should be there any minute now." This time I wasn't having it, so I kept questioning, "Why would you tell me 30 minutes, then take over an hour??" Finally the dude just nonchalantly states, "I dunno...we got busy. Do you want to speak to my manager?" He obviously had fielded this question/complaint so many times that he no longer cared, and was more than ready and willing to just pass the phone on. I agreed, and after some shuffling and muffling in the background, this young lady comes on the line speaking in barely audible tones. I had no idea what she said as her phone greeting, so I just asked, "Are you the manager?" She mumbled something inaudible, and...this is not an exaggeration..after asking her either to repeat herself or again asking if she was the manager no less than three more times, she finally spoke up enough for me to hear, "the real manager is not here but I'm the person in charge right now." So I repeated my question about given delivery time vs actual time, and that if a delivery is going to be this late, they could at least give a courtesy call to the customer and warn them. She immediately gave me the standard "I'll put you down for a discount off your next order" line, with this tone of "this always works and is good enough." I declined this and asked that she discount the current order. She claimed she couldn't do this because of some glitch in the matrix or whatever. So once I'd had enough, I simply told her if the pizza arrived cold, I would not be accepting or paying for it. She answered "ok" in this distant, barely audible and barely caring voice. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, the delivery guy arrived. He looked harried and pressed for time, apologized when I gave him the same complaint, and stated he was the only delivery person on duty and had driven all over creation tonight. I told him about my warning to his "manager," opened the box and touched the now lukewarm pizza, declared it "good enough" and paid the dude. The pizza itself was on par with perhaps a mid-range frozen pizza. The only positive thing was that non-canned vegetables were used. Horrible experience! I've gone before and it wasn't that bad but tonight it was. Poor customer service and I waited nearly 10+ minutes only to be given the wrong order!!!! I simply asked what the coupon offers they had because I realized they weren't on the boxes anymore. The "manager" came and rudely asked me "what's going on?!" I ordered a delivery, added a tip to the order and waited for order. After over an hour, called to follow up. Was informed that Even Though I added a 20% tip for delivery, they don't deliver??? Then told that there is a $3.00 fee which never popped up so somehow it got flipped to a carry out! Now they offered for me to drive out to pickup the order I tipped 20% for or I can pay them this $3 fee and they can deliver cold pizza. Manager did offer to remake pizza and have delivered when I pay this $3. Explained it was ordered as a delivery and nothing about $3 but could a tip which I did. She didn't care and I asked for her full name and number to corporate. Would only give first name and said she (as a manager!), did not know the number to corporate. My family has been ordering pizza from here since they opened. We love it. We did have an incident where I ordered over the phone and charged it to my card, when it was delivered the driver had my mother-in-law pay when he delivered. When I found out about this i was LIVID, how could they charge us TWICE? The receipt says "Paid in full"? My mother in law speaks no English so I was sure they were trying to take advantage of her. Come to find out, the restaurant manager was trying to get in contact with me all day after it happened to set things straight. They are honest people and made a human mistake. We are a Marcos Family! So glad to have a new one a little bit closer, since we are still out of range for delivery for this location and the Westheimer Parkway location. They make up for it by having a 10-15 minute ready time for pickup orders. We leave right after the order is placed, and it's hot, ready and waiting when we arrive! They pizza is excellent! Try the crust toppers for added awesomeness if you haven't tried them already (they're excellent combined). Now we need a location close by that has the buffet like the one we used to live down the road from...at Dairy Ashford and Memorial. Went in and placed an order at the counter and was told temperature minutes for my pizza pie and wings. Excellent, 10 minutes later I was walking to my car with a piping hot pie and wings! Wings are very meaty like a wing should be. Pie is as good as Papa John's if not a bit better. If you haven't tried Marco's than you should. read more

As I was placing my order the girl who took the order was speaking so softly I had to ask her to repeat everything multiple times. Most of our family has a wheat allergy and so we are constantly looking for the best gluten-free pizza. LOOK NO FURTHER! Marco's gluten-free crust is nearly undiscernable from their regular crust. It is absolutely delicious. The crew is hard working and responsive and very friendly for delivery, pick-up or sit down. However because of the current situation I went inside to pick up the pizza and I was not impressed. The owner was there and he seemed like a nice guy but they need to clean their restaurant. The floors and the counters were dirty and even the front door was dirty. Plus the young people making the pizza didn't have hair nets and none of them were wearing gloves it just seemed unsanitary.
