I will preface this review with I did not actually order my meal, and my fiancee had it delivered as a surprise. That being said I still enjoyed it and can only imagine that it would only be better if we were there in person. Today I was advised that the wife and the little lady were heading to get a little spa treatment and a haircut. This left my man and I to fend for ourselves for a little bit. We both felt like a pizza so I suggested Pizza Schmizza. Gavin said I don't want just a piece, I want my own pie. I knew what I had to do...we were in Beaverton and I knew there was one on Cedar Hills Blvd, but I figured I would go to the one on Cornell since it was just 2 minutes away from the house. Gavin knew what he wanted...a mini with red sauce and sausage. I asked him (more than once) if he wanted cheese. He said "no there is cheese on the table." I couldn't argue with that. I ended up getting the "Tristan" and I added jalepeños and mushrooms. When I was ordering I was asked if i wanted a "finishing sauce". I had no idea...by the time I got down the line I decided to change my mind. I got the pesto finishing sauce. I am glad I did..it tasted amazing. Finally I want to give props to the entire staff @ the Cornell location. We got there around 1 PM on Saturday. The place was packed...sure we had to wait in line, but the workers were very efficient and there is nothing better than a good meal than good service and workers that work together to make it a good experience. There staff is extremely nice from my experience and they don't seem to mind adding more stuff to a pizza. One of my favorite things about mod is how you can get as much extra as you want and you will never have to pay extra. The ambiance is great, they are usually super clean and only not when a big rush just left and even then someone will come out with a big mop and clean it up. My only con is that they seem to overcook pizzas commonly due to the thickness however it does make sense. Overall worth the four stars read more

Make your own pizza for under $8? Yup. It's as simple as that. The best comparison (that I use often) is it's like Subway but for pizza. And better than Subway. Even better - they have ricotta, which not all locations have. I love ricotta on my pizza, get off my case. The place is generally pretty clean and the workers keep the line flowing. Service is also usually pretty spot on. The one weird blip was when they mixed up my pizza with another person's so they had to remake it. When I went to hand back the wrong pizza, the worker refused to take it over the bar/counter and made me walk around to the register to hand it back. If he hadn't been rude about it, I wouldn't have minded but geeze. Y'all gave ME the wrong pizza in the first place. I actually love MOD pizza and the concept behind it. It's very affordable and customizable and adheres to any diet restriction, including vegan. I ask for my pizzas extra crispy. They use a fire oven which gives the pizza a nice char. I've never had a bad experience and they never cease to right a wrong. Love this place! Great tasting pizza! Quite thin, but really good crust. They do offer a "thick" version. Two problems: All the toppings, and scant few, were just dumped in a pile in the middle. She had on a shirt that had the letter U and a star on it and a hat that said miss queen. I assumed she was a customer that got lost and ended up behind the counter but then she asked what she could get us. Maybe she stayed at a Holliday Inn last night I'm not sure so we started giving her our order. She seemed to want to rush so we tried to keep the pace, she got confused and got the order wrong. I didn't say anything because the poor dear was trying her hardest. She continued to bark orders at us and when I tried to pay she seemed to get mad that I was paying with my card. I can't wait to see her TikTok explaining how stupid customer are. When I was finished, I returned to put my trash in the trash, and bottle in the recycling. I was disappointed to learn that the owner does not pay for recycling at this location. We live in Oregon, where recycling is second nature. There should be no reason for me to trash any recyclable items! Note to complex owner: pay for recycling! It's much better karma. This is the only restaurant in my 50 something your life that it ever walked into within 10 or 15 minutes of closing time and told that there's not enough time to make food so I have to leave. I've actually worked in multiple restaurants and if people came in close to closing, we still prepared their food. It's also not the way the other Hillsborough location works on TV highway. Good things: It's fairly quick, you can pick your toppings Bad: It's really not great pizza and they think sticking salad on a crust (and adding carbs) is a good idea. I spent my childhood going to legends like Uno's and Due's, along with a host of mom and pop joints around the city and suburbs. While in the Navy I was stationed in Naples, Italy for three years and got to experience wood fired pizza for the first time. Mod Pizza follows the Neapolitan tradition with it's wood fired pizza's, made right in front of you as if I was back at my favorite place in Quarto, Italy. If it were possible to leave ZERO stars We would! This location is new, however we have been in twice ... the first time they messed up our order, but we gave them a break because they were new! This time, Feb 27, 2017, it was the absolute worst experience ever from any restaurant. We ordered online at 11:15, selected to have our order ready for pick up at 11:45. My husband went in to pick up the order ... 1. When he went in, they had not even put the pizza in the oven yet! 2. 20 minutes later, he asked if it was done yet, and yea it was, it happened to be sitting waiting for him (yet nobody called his name) 3. He then asked for the salads, which wasn't even made yet. 4. They made the salad and gave it to him, however, the salad dressing was mixed in, which is never the case when ordering out at MOD (we go to Tanasbourne all the time) 5. They made a new one, but this time gave him the wrong dressing. (of course he didn't know as it was for me and I was not with him when he picked it up) So, exactly an hour after I had ordered for take out, he was able to walk through the door with food. No apologies from them, nothing. Needless to say, we will NEVER be returning to this location. The pizzas were cold, it just was not pleasant experience, it was barely edible, dry and just ick. I would recommend driving further to the other location. And advice to this location ... GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! read more

This restaurant had such a bad vibe to it and the woman helping me so rude the entire time. From the get go she acted inconvenienced just by me being there. She proceeded to build my salad visibly agitated. She would ask me a question about what I wanted and before I could finish answering she would yell over me with her next question. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Then when she was done she just walked off. I ordered a pizza and fountain soda for lunch. The manager had forgotten to turn on the C02 for the soda machine when they opened 1 hour prior. So everyone who got sodas in that hour had no C02 and ruined soda. I had no issue with this, I just wanted to switch my drink to a bottled soda because I had been there for 20 minutes with my pizza and nothing to drink. The employee absolutely refused to switch it out claiming a cost difference. I even agreed to pay the difference. 10 more minutes go by while I wait for my bottled soda price change and I still have no drink. The employee doesn't seem to care that I've been there for 30 minutes with no drink still. I ask to speak to the manager and she claims to be the manager. I then ask for the name and number of her manager and she tells me Desiree and refused to give me a way to reach her. When I asked for the her name, she ignored me, never giving me her name. I have gone to that MOD about once a week since it opened and never had any problems. However, that will be my last visit. That employee/manger was the most rude, callus and uncaring person I've ever seen at a MOD. Very disappointed!!! read more
