Another good visit to Del Taco. I came for the cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries, as I just read that the burger is what they do best. I brought home a Tostada and Burrito for my wife as I ate my cheeseburger and fries there. The burger was great...for $5.50. The bun was a bit smashed on top as the picture depicts. I only needed a regular size fries as the large order was HUGE. They were hot and crisp. $13.75 for all of this...great value and quality. What I don't like, and I know they are not the only ones to utilize them, are the kiosk for ordering. I like to talk to someone when I order, which is what I did. I will be back, and also for the cheeseburger and fries. read more

The food is still good. They still have great customer service with great employees. But a note to management...fix your hours! From 2:30 am - 5:00 am they always "update their system" and are CLOSED to drive through customers. They are no longer 24 hours with the exception of food delivery services. Very aggrevating for loyal customers. They need to either take down the "24 hour Open" sign or post their new hours and new conditions where customers can see them. BTW, this has only happened since Jack in a Box purchased Del Taco a few months ago. read more

I didn't have any problems with the employees this time. Del Taco still offers the same great menu including burgers, fries, burritos, and tacos. The fries are mediocre, but they taste better if you get the chili cheese variety. I love the fish tacos, but not the shells. I guess they only come in small soft shells, and the ones I got were cold. I would prefer warm hard shell fish tacos. read more

The fish tacos are STILL so good! Fresh, nicely cooked, comes with the squeeze lime, pico with great sauce! The new carnitas are SOOO good! Usually a good spot for late Night food when I get off work late and don't want to cook. Never had a bad experience until tonight. I almost thought I was being punked. This old lady was so grumpy taking my order, I only ordered a burrito, and a couple tacos, no modifications. She was legit yelling "can I help you?!?" As soon as I pulled up. Then responded "okay 4 chicken soft, what do you want?!" I was scared to pull up to the window lol. Seemed like she was training some young kid and was being rude to him too. Okay food is pretty good. Crunchy tacos are packed w meat, way more than Taco Bell, and the crunchy tacos take a lot longer to crack at the bottom since the meat isn't as greasy either! And if your on a budget, the value nachos are bomb as long as you ask for extra queso! My only complaint and the only reason that I am giving them three stars is because, yes I know it's fast food, but this isn't once in a while it's every time that I get my order, they don't fold up the food good doesn't matter how careful I grab it out of the bag it spills everywhere, I always have a mess to clean up! Open 24 hours, and because of that I've been slowly working my way through the menu. I started with everything on the dollar menu. Fantastic, and fantastic value. I highly recommend the chicken crunch burrito with a small strawberry lemonade. Next, I moved on to tacos. Every single kind of taco sold at Del is great value and great flavor. The Al Carbon are more on the authentic street taco side, while the fast-food-crunchy Del Taco and Crunchy Taco are consistently, well, crunchy. And very fresh! Every item I've ordered here that's had avocado or tomato has had fresh, flavorful produce in good balance with the meat/meat substitute, beans, and rice. Back to the menu. Burritos. My father swears by the Combo Burrito, and it's good, but I'd still go for dollar menu items over it because 4 chicken rollers beats 1 combo burrito any day. Only thing I've found on the menu that I don't like are the Epic Burritos. Far too much rice, making for a starchy, dry mess. Now the oddballs. Surprisingly, the burger, chili cheese fries, and asada fries are all REALLY good. They give the impression of tavern food rather than fast food. Best of all, however, are the tamales. 2 for $4, or a bit more (which I don't love but it's still great value) to get them smothered in hot sauce, red and green sauces, or chili. Absolutely fantastic tamales! A teeny tiny bit dry, but for $2 each and at such a rapid speed, I won't complain. Holiday season only for these gems, I'm afraid. read more

Came here today and placed an order for two del Tacos, one carne asada quesadilla, and two of their chicken quesadilla tacos they were advertising two for four. After we left the drive-thru we found that we were missing The two del Tacos so we went back. Went inside and explained that we did not get our two tacos nor did we even get a receipt but showed them that the bank did charge me for the food. The person was annoyed and said "bring me all the food back". My husband explained that we were trying to return our food we're just wanting the two tacos. And the person responded again telling My husband just bring back the food now mind you I'm in the car have already started eating. We just wanted our two tacos. My husband asked if the manager was around and someone said that that was the manager who my husband was speaking to. He said I don't understand why you're upset or being rude because all I want is the tacos I paid for. He said can I get your name? And she says "I'm not going to give you my name". He said well he goes You can just give me back my money because the food was cold the fries were cold and I didn't get my tacos so just give me the money back for my tacos that I did not get. Meanwhile the young man in the back was getting ready to hand me a fresh set of fries and she yelled at him and said "why are you giving him another fries?". My husband said I'm not telling you about the fries to give me free fries anyway I'm just telling you that it wasn't a very good start to our meal to not have our tacos and to have cold fries. She shoved the $4 at me and my husband left. This is such a bummer because I usually like the del Taco fries, but the problem is this is the second time we've had a problem at this del Taco location. I actually contacted the corporate office and provided pictures of the food and they never got back to me. But we kept going back because it's the only del Taco here and it look like things were looking a lot better until today. It's unfortunate that there's not a del Taco near us anymore but only this one and the service is atrocious and the food is hit and miss. Looks like we may have to give Taco Bell another try or just cook at home. What a bummer for a Sunday evening thinking we're going to treat ourselves. Just as clarification I would like to explain how my food was given to us that we did keep. The carne asada quesadilla was cold the cheese was barely melted and the meat was greasy and oily and the tortilla was soaked in it. The two quesadilla tacos were stuffed with lettuce and dry chicken it was like chewing beef jerky chunks that was sitting in stew. The lettuce was spilling out of it and it seemed like there was more lettuce than anything else. And I reiterate the fries were cold and soggy with no salt. But we didn't complain about any of that all we wanted was our crunchy tacos. Eating here is like hit and miss so eat here at your own risk. We're done with this del Taco. Wanted to grab a quick bite between my chore runs and stopped at Del Taco as it was hailed the "best fast food taco". I picked up my food through the drive thru. The staff is very efficient and quick to service you. I liked it better than Taco Bell tacos. They have a mix and match burrito offer for 2 burritos. I got two veggie burritos. I felt the price was good with the offer. As expected from a fast food place, I didn't feel that the ingredients were not as fresh as I expected. But the portion size was good. I do not think fast food is my cup of tea. But if you would like a quick bite, and are into fast food, you might like to check out this place. read more

I do enjoy their crinkle cut fries (extra crispy) of course & you MUST try their Caramel Cheesecake Bites. Most visited I order their Triple Chicken Box $6. It comes with 2 chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, crinkle cut fries & a drink. (That's a whole lot of items for a small price) The chicken tacos are really yummy, it has ranch sauce. The Caramel cheesecake bites - you gotta try it. It's so yummy & fried on the outside and oozes with cheesecake & caramel. You can get to for less than $3 or 4 for under $6. First time here since the covid-19 situation started and this place significantly went downhill. We usually enjoy coming here, most of the time the food is good and the employees are great. I can't say it this time. We ordered a Del Combo Burrito Combo and an Epic Triple Burrito Combo. The portions of everything was cut down by half! So unsatisfying and hungry!! Fries box bottom was pushed significantly higher! So less fries in box. Epic burrito was so small! Super oily! My hands were drenched in the oil! Del Combo burrito was pretty much flat! Service was not great! One of the sodas had soda dripping over the entire side. I asked the employee if they had napkins since there was soda on the cup. They cook food on premises from scratch, and the quality is really good for fast food. A bonus is that it's very clean and efficient here. Ive been through the drive through here two or three times now. It is not fast. The workers are friendly and nice. The french fries, if hot, are awesome. Something about crinkly things. I dont know what that is. Kid loves them. The first time I had a turkey taco salad. It tasted good. If i hadn't turned a corner too sharply on the way home it might have looked better. It was in a pretty flimsy container. Just a warning. Child likes the quesadillas. They are not special but they're better than taco bell and there are no veggies in the plain cheese one. Kid friendly and wallet friendly. I dont remember what they cost but they are cheap. This last time I planned on a salad but they're doing a real avocado promotion. I got some kind of grilled chicken burrito with a few chicken chunks, black beans, pico, and BIG fresh slices of perfect avocado. There might have been rice and cheese in there but I'm as usual hyperfocused on the avocado. ( Im the anti Yvette, I LOVE avocado!!) It totally surprised me, bumping my review from 3 to 4. Oh and the strawberry lemonade was pretty good. Im sure I wont ever go in but if I'm desperate for a quick cheap dinner for us, this isn't terrible. Just dont consider it Mexican food and youre fine. I have a soft spot for Del Taco; I've been going there as far back as I remember, getting the Taco Tuesday special (when you'd get three full size tacos for a dollar, way back in 1999.) Is their food the best? No. Is it cheap, filling and better than most fast food? Absolutely. They are one of the few chains that can actually pull off both American and Mexican food. I haven't asked for a Bun Taco at this location yet, but the ones in Southern California sometimes have it on their menu and it is delicious (for those not in the know, it's all the taco fixings on a burger bun.) They also have one of the best value menus in the industry, and you can still get a decent meal for under five dollars. I wish there were more locations in the Portland area, because I would rather come here than Taco Bell. read more
