Decent tacos. There were quite a few tables to sit inside although we carried out our food. It's a little hard to find parking nearby.

Combo #4

Cozy hole in the wall with only 5 parking spots and about 7 booths inside that will make your experience even better. This restaurant belongs to the brother of the larger "Taquería Hermanos Ochoa" on 10th. Me and my family love this place because of the quality of the food. As Mexicans it's hard to find good quality Mexican food yet below there are a couple of recommendations. By mistake we ordered the #10 Quesadilla ($12 USD) for my kids and when I tasted it, the flavor BLEW my mind. The huge corn tortillas are hand made and fresh and this delicious dish comes with meat inside, either chicken, steak or trompo. We got steak and we HIGHLY recommend it. Although my first choice isn't tacos (A racist ex-teammate of mine would disagree), one of my sons ordered the Carne Asada tacos (#1 in the menu, $2 USD each) and I swapped one for an enchilada from my Combo #4 ($12 USD with enchiladas and tacos). At that moment I realized that precious stomach space had been wasted, since I could have eaten Carne Asada tacos or just Quesadilla all the time. Desserts are good but not their strength, although you might be lured by the glowing light of the fridge. Even though they're a bit understaffed and you'll have to wait a bit like with all god things that require patience, their service is great, full of care and sprinkled with a lot of American Dream. If you're lucky you might be able to enjoy eating at their table outside, right next to the guy making the trompo. ;)

You know a restaurant is authentic when there's no English on the menu. The menu is entirely in Spanish with giant photos of each dish plastered on the wall behind the cashier. Even if you don't know a single word of Spanish, just point at what you like and it'll be delicious. PSA -- The tacos are $1.50 each! I love how they use 1 tortilla instead of 2 so you can taste more of the meat. Speaking of meat, each taco is packed with delicious and savory meat. It's then topped with a mountain of cilantro and bits of onion. My personal favorite are the nachos! The chips are still crispy and warm while still underneath a mountain of meat, beans, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo. They add guacamole and sour cream on the side so it can be evenly distributed(just how I like it). For $6, it's definitely super filling! Don't be afraid to approach this place as it's the exact definition of a hole in wall. It's look run down and probably not the cleanest place, but it has bomb food that you'll always come back for.

Wow! Their street tacos really were "super"! Super tasty and a super value, too. A little pile of chips and a tiny taste of guacamole were a delightful surprise. My lengua was the best ever and the pastor was delicious. Finding this place was as the famous soccer announcer would say, "scooooooooooooore!"

SORRYI Just had another mm mmm mmm meal from the good folks at Ochoa. Gorditas al pastor what a treat!!! " Fresh, warm handmade fried masa cakes stuffed. literally stuffed, with generous helpings of beautifully seasoned meat, beans, lettuce. tomato, sour cream, multiple slices of fresh avocadoand crumnbled queso fresco all come together create a two handeded entree sandwich. delicious and satisfying. I ordered two and I ate both but will probably order one next time because they are so meaty and satisfying. Fresh and delicious!!! Muchas Gracias Amigos!! I am sorry my photo does not do them justice but they tasted so good there was no chance for a second shot.

The birria here had a lot of tough bones and cartilage. The burrito was still good but I had to eat it carefully so I didn't chip a tooth.

Waited forever for the order, finally got it and they gave me nothing to eat with - no utensils - so I couldn't eat. I need a refund.

100% Authentic Mexican. Food 10/10. Service 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. Outside sitting. Parking…read moreavailable. Super clean. My wife found this gem using Yelp, so I shed a happy tear :') . We all had an amazing time. It's so good that local celebrities like Eric Miller (Timbers' #15) was there dining while we were enjoying our food. SERVICE Zoe's amazing service is worth calling out, first highlight of our dinner. She was happy, funny, sprinkled zesty remarks that made us laugh, brought food fast, recommended great dishes, clarified all of our questions - Precisely what one expects from the warm Mexican server. It would be unfair to not mention the rest of the staff, it's just that Zoe was the unapologetically the best. FOOD Just the highlights from everything we had: - Chilaquiles Tarascos ($18.99) + Egg ($4): Our measuring stick for Mexican food authenticity, so we ignored how pricey they were for chilaquiles. These are chips in salsa topped with meat and egg. The way they make this dish sets the bar high for all other Mexican restaurants! - Machete con Carne ($18): Delicious giant taco with hand-made corn tortilla, cheese and up to 2 meats of your choice This is what I ordered based on Zoe's recommendation. I'm a 6'2" 215 lbs. man and I felt that I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing, BUT I DID! - Horchata: ($6.2): You'll taste the rice and the cinnamon, like the one Abüelitas in Mexico make. - House Made Flan ($6.99): You'll taste the egg in this flan. I can hear the chef yelling to the cooks in the kitchen when they're making this: "¡Con huevos!" - Café de Olla: ($6.20): AUTHENTIC MEXICAN Coffee! This is not a novelty you find on Instagram where lattes are poured on pastries, no. This is THE REAL DEAL. AMBIANCE We sat outside, the weather calls for it. Simple wooden picnic tables to enjoy the weather, not much needed. It was a difficult decision because inside the decor is BEAUTIFUL. - Outside: About 6 picnic tables sitting 6 people each. - Inside: About 6 or 7 tables for 2, and 3 booths for 6 and 4 tables for 4 people. - Parking: On the street and a small parking lot for about 5 vehicles. CLOSING THOUGHTS This business is doing everything right by representing Mexican culture. They're not adding American cheese just for the sake of catering to a certain demographic. They're hiring people who can speak Spanish from Mexico to provide a great service and experience. You can see the LOVE that the owner(s) are pouring into this business, if you see their taco trucks (I saw 2 parked in their parking lot) or need catering, do yourself a favor and try them. Our server was very slow in bringing our first (maybe 5-10 min) and second (maybe 10-15 min) round of drinks. A younger man stopped by our table several times asking what we needed, but failed to bring anything. The server seemed unaware that he was also asking for our orders. Overall, the food was good, the service wasn't.

Very authentic Mexican, ample portions at fair prices. This restaurant is more informal than most and is more of a fast food place. Totally fine with me. You order at the counter, get your own chips and salsa and they bring the food to you. They do a brisk business but if you have limited time for lunch this place is perfect. They will get you in and out fast.

And I've had my fair share of bad ones in the area. Not as great a folks advertise it to be. However when I first stepped foot on Ochoas' greasy floors, I knew this place would be exceptionally legit! Here's what I've tried and here's what I dig about Ochoas: ~ Their variety of Combos (about $12-14). I've done their tacos enchiladas, and chicken fajitas type of combos and man they've been belly filling silly! So stuffed, so good! SO worth it! I would reduce a star due to tortillas being sold separately, but I didn't mind not having tortilla. ~ Two recommended plates, the Tacos Dorados ($14) and the Enchiladas Suisa ($16) man'o'man are these plates are dope! I usually get them filled with chorizo, but I say get them with campechano (asada and chorizo). Super flavorful! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Their lengua and pastor are also tasty! ~ My favorites are actually their breakfast burritos. Chorizo is chorizo, but their Combo breakfast burrito ($9.50) is filled with sausage, ham, cheese, and stuffed with eggs they're not shiesty about adding. Can't go wrong with their breakfast burritos! ~ I'll be honest here, I wasn't really a fan of their tamales. They look good, but I've had better. Not enough to reduce a star either. ~ Legit "Salsa Bar" that usually has six different types. Loved a lot of them too! But really it depends on what salsa goes with what. ~ Another bonus, they've got a catering booth at the Orenco Station Farmer's Market! As far as dining-in, it's nothing fancy. Clean enough to eat there even though I mentioned the floor condition earlier lol. Had to tell them to kick on the heater when it was cold too. Regarding service, I've have to turn up my broken Spanish, but for the most part they've been patient enough to take my order with ease. No issues with service. Again it confirms the legitimacy. That's all I've got to say, and to me they're "one of the best for Mexican food in Hillsboro". I don't care about the negative reviews and what others may think. I say, if you're hesitant like I was, give them a try them and compare for yourself. If you've got a place that's better, let me know.

I am just not sure how to rate Casa Lola…read more.. My wife called at 10 to ask if they were open yesterday, (Sunday) as they were scheduled to serve brunch. She was told they open at noon?? Yet their website states the following: Sunday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM I do see they have 4 stars overall. I gave it 5 stars a year and a half ago. It definitely doesn't warrant 5 stars. The scheduled hours in the front window area is missing half of the numbers. The threshold is filthy. The knife in my roll-up had something crusted on it. And we were told very nicely, by our server Johana, that she hoped the Chef would come back, as he had left earlier. Whew...he came in after we were there about 10 minutes. We arrived at 4:00. And the last irritant...the music sound level. I wanted to ask Johana to turn it down, but just put it off. We were told at 10:00 Casa Lola becomes a night club...fine, but at 4:00 on a Sunday. Johana was terrific and the food was good. My Al Pastor Tacos were okay. Not great, but not bad. Black beans and rice accompanied all of the dishes and they also were good...not great. My wife, being a vegetarian, had the Enchilada's stuffed with carrots and potatoes. She loved the sauce, even though it had queso fresco on top, as she had requested none be served. Again, Service 5 stars, Food 4 stars, Misc. 0 stars It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is open one year from now.
