I went there around 1-2 pm on the 29th and the service was fantastic! The folks working were incredibly kind and attentive to what kind of pizza I wanted. The food was delicious and the pizza was made tremendously. I really like MOD. It's a great deal to build your own pizza especially if you like a bunch of toppings. We usually get a good amount of all of those toppings too! One time we didn't but it seemed like a one-off experience after eating here at least 10 times in a year. Parking is shared with home goods. If you're just running in it seems ok to park by the patio in the access street. Lots of seating but can get busy during peak times. App is easy to use too for ordering ahead! read more

Clueless staff. Doing so much more wrong than right. No knowledge of product. Pizza oven needs to be a continuous flow in and out. Do not fill the oven, wait for all pizzas to be done , take them all out, slice and box them ALL, and leave the oven empty for the 15-20 minutes it takes to do this. Pizzas were undercooked as well. Service was so slow. Placed an online order, showed up to store 10 mins after pickup time and still wasn't ready. Had another online order for pickup at the time I arrived. Neither obviously ready. Stood there in front of the counter without being helped for at least 10 mins until I said something. Then finally first order was ready, which was almost 20 mins past pickup time. Second order took another almost 10 minutes. If there is gonna be a longer wait time, just time a longer wait time. Don't give a short wait for pickup and then have people wait around for 20 minutes. read more

Had an online order at 6:26. Waited in the store till 7:15. They never made my order absolutely ridiculous. Watched customers come in order their food, receive the food and eat and leave. So many toppings to pick from. They even roast the broccoli, corn, and garlic fresh daily. They even have pizzas for dairy free, vegan, and gluten-free. And if you don't like pizza you can get all those toppings in a salad. read more

Mod has been good for us for quite awhile, but tonight - not so much. Our pizzas sat for 8-10 minutes before being cut and boxed. They were handed to me at just about room temperature. The woman on cutting, boxing, putting pizza into and out of the oven was way in the weeds. She was going to give me one pizza that was not the correct one if I had not caught it. I can see the draw towards this place, but personally it's just not my cup of tea. It gets 3 stars because my boyfriend let me try his pizza and it was pretty good. If I had just had my salad, it would be 2 stars. And I get that this is mainly a pizza place, but that doesn't mean their salads should be below average. What I ordered: they currently have a seasonal salad with roasted pineapple. It sounded exotic. I was expecting it to have other yummy toppings besides the roasted pineapple, but there was not. I had the option to add more toppings to the salad and I did, but honestly if I am at a restaurant I want the restaurant to give me salad options that they know are good. Great pizza! Well-suited for anyone who loves what they call "artisan" pizza. You make the call on what you want (I usually get their signature 11"). It's very much like Subway with all the toppings in front of you, behind glass. Same goes for salads, which I haven't had yet. They do have recommended pizzas on the menu, and on my most recent visit I had their seasonal, "Ruthie", which is a spicy one. The pizza doesn't take long at all, at least five minutes after you pay. They'll even offer to give it a drizzle as there are at least five types to choose from (like buffalo sauce). My only complaint is the loud music, as it is blasted big time in the place. But you'll still be able to hear your name when they call it out. Be sure to check out this fine new addition to Edwardsville. The price is nice. It's sure to give Pizza Hut, which is within walking distance, a run for their money. read more

I like the concept of this place, like a subway you can pick your own toppings without out any additional charge but I was disappointed in the pizza, there was very little sauce and the toppings were sparse, 6 small slices of pepperoni on an 11" pizza? If I try it again I think I will ask for double toppings and see if it allowed........them it may be ok. Still not a place you can go for a quick lunch, we had a lengthy wait to get to the ordering counter and another for our food, about an hour for lunch doesn't work on a week day or if you want a quick lunch. read more

I'm totally disgusted!!! We went in there with a group of 3 of us with limited time. The first two pizzas came out relatively quickly, but the third took 10 extra minutes. When they gave it to us it was extremely burnt with the entire bottom being black and most of the top as well. We took it back to the crew who wasn't uncaring and wouldn't even apologize. I've been anxiously waiting for this place to open. First thoughts; I love the pizza! The crust is super thin (the one I had.). The sauce isn't too spicy either. You can create your own salad and pizza. It's kind of like a pizza subway. You walk down the counter and pick what you want on your pizza and or salad. I love that concept. You get exactly what you like. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. They have a soft drink station and tea or you can also get bottled water, juice drinks and real sugar coke. It's decorated very...well...Mod. Hence the name...I guess. The price wasn't too bad at all. Mini pizza was 6.27. The Mod size pizza was 8.27 and the mini salad was 6.27. Our total with 2 pizzas, 2 salads and drinks was; 33.54. I will definitely be going back! Yummy pizza! My only complaint was the music was too loud! My favorite pizza place Bad Dad's pizza has been out of commission for several weeks now and I was really craving pizza. So I read the reviews for MOD Pizza and decided to give it a try. I LOVED my pesto, chicken, and mozzarella pizza. The crust was thin and freshly made. The quality of the chicken and mozzarella cheese was good and the basil pesto was fresh and delicious. I had my pizza delivered by Door Dash and it arrived cold so I had to reheat it. Also MOD could have put more chicken and cheese on my pizza which I will request next time. My 11-inch pizza cost me $10.79 which was a great price. MOD Pizza will definitely be my Plan B or when I am craving a pesto, chicken and mozzarella pizza. GOOD JOB MOD. read more

A pizza place in the style of a subway or q'doba. But quality pizza that you'd expect from a true pizzeria with wood fired pizzas. So the first thing to know from that is that you're not getting a huge XXL pizza to share with your friends. You're each probably getting your own individual pizza and maybe having a few slices leftover (or if you're me, none because I shared with my toddler). The best part of this concept is that they're making it in front of you and they'll ask you if you want more cheese for example (and the answer to that question is always yes by the way). I have not ventured away from cheese as this is my favorite (and my toddler's too). But it's pretty darn good. The sauce has a bit of a kick to it so be prepared for that. Not crazy spicy, but enough that you know it's there. The crust is typical of a hand tossed wood fired pizza, you can ask for the extra dough to give it a bit more crust, but I found that I didn't prefer it that way (despite my penchant for deep dish pizza). Now, my favorite part. The blackberry lemonade. I would buy this from them in jugs if they sold it. Perfect combination of lemon and blackberry with just the right amount of sweetness. The first time I have been there. My wife and I are vegan and they offer a pizza for us with vegan cheese and all the toppings for a really great price. We got curb side pickup and it came out as soon as my wife hung up the phone. The lady who brought was very friendly. I will definitely be going back. This was my first time at a MOD Pizza. We went at 6 o'clock on a weeknight, and it took us about 15 minutes to order, because the line was long. I ordered the Caspian without onions, and cheesy garlic bread. The pizza was pretty good, but the slices were really big for the amount of toppings that were on it. It fell apart when I tried to pick it up so I had to fold it over. This is something small, and not a dealbreaker, just something that made it very messy. The cheesy garlic bread was just OK. There was some kind of herb on it that I did not like. I am not sure if this is how they keep all of their marinara, but I asked for some on the side with the garlic bread, and it was from the fridge so it was really cold. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at MOD Pizza. The atmosphere here is fun, casual, energetic, and cool. The staff will banter with each other and yell "welcome in!" When new customers come in the door. They're very friendly and crack jokes with you when you're building your pizza. The background music is a nice touch too; it's not too loud. Furthermore, the price is very reasonable for an 11-inch pizza with any toppings you want! Not to mention that the pizza is done fast, is very delicious, and is perfect for when you're on a time crunch. The food at MOD is great, the service is friendly but sadly they are rather slow. Was hopeful that as customer's learned how the process of ordering worked it would speed up the line, but it hasn't changed since they have opened. It might have even gotten worse.
