Sugo's is never a bad choice. It's been one of my family's choices for celebration meals or just because since I can remember. Even after my parents have been gone, it's still a special place to eat when I get the chance. They serve some of the most delicious pastas and have a great selection of wines to match. Everyone is always so kind and friendly and ready to serve you the best they can and the setting is pretty casual for the most part.

Absolutely love this place. It is not fancy but has amazing food. It is clean and decorated in a warm environment. The service is always great. But we come here for the food. Gluten free on the menu is always a plus for us.

Sugo's Spaghetteria in Edwardsville is a cozy favorite, especially for my mom, who absolutely loves their lasagna. I'm a fan of the Meatballs and Spaghetti with tomato cream sauce, rich, comforting, and always satisfying. The Chicken Spoduni is another great choice if you're craving something lighter. Shoutout to our waiter, Andrew, who was friendly and on point throughout the meal. The only thing missing? A few signature cocktails to round out the experience. Still, Sugo's remains a go-to for classic Italian comfort in a welcoming setting

Salmon with risotto

The one thing I will say about Sugo's is that my experience there is consistent. It's always pretty good food and we can always get a table with only a short wait. We both had the special on our last outing. My wife had the salmon and I had the Chicken Spiedini. I could cut the chicken with a fork which is always a good sign. The sauce and the chicken were flavorful and delicious. The salmon on top of risotto was also delicious. The risotto was a bit runny but still had good flavor. Service was good too. Nothing was incredible, but it was a solid experience overall. Ambiance could be better, but it was fine. We will continue to go back.

Sugo's decir is very chic. Staff were very polite, and knowledgeable of their menu. My friend and I both had the chicken spiedini. The presentation was very nice. Flavors were good. However, it lacked salt and garlic in my opinion. The bread was amazing!!

Chicken piccata special over a creamy tomato sauce

My husband and I tried this place for the first time on one of the hottest days of the summer. It was nice and cool inside and the server was absolutely incredible. It has a classic moderately upscale look inside, the chairs were comfortable and the lighting was extremely nice. Our server hit it out of the park! She was thorough with the specials and answered all of our questions. I got the special of the day and my husband got the fettuccine alfredo. It came with tableside rosemary focaccia bread that I will be dreaming of for the rest of my days. The special was the chicken piccata which was outstanding! The chicken was glorious! My husband still got half of it from me, but I stole the roasted garlic from him which I feel like was a decent trade. The noodles were exceptional and overall we loved our experience. Best of all it wasn't overly expensive for wonderful food and classy ambiance. I would absolutely recommend it if you were trying to show someone a great time and not break the bank.

Toasted Ravioli

It's been a number of years since we've been here and I don't know why. It is delicious from the service to the meal everything was perfect. The bread was amazing. The toasted ravs were delicious. I had the tutto mare, it was the best I've ever had, full of shrimp, crabs, clams, the sauce was divine, simply amazing. My husband had the lasagna it was delicious as well, we both have enough left for dinner tomorrow night. I can't wait to go back.

Good service. Good cost for the quality of food. Not too loud or chaotic. Doesn't take long to order and get your food.

Consistently good food and good service. They handle walk in diners most nights but reservations are recommended.

Always excellent food and service. The atmosphere is relaxed but not too casual and it's affordable.

Tucked into a corner, this is a great eatery. Lovely choice of cocktails and other spirits. I had a…read morecaramel apple mule. Saw our couple of lavender lemon drop martinis and a bramble punch on our table. The truffle fries are a must try/devour as are the sprouts. I had a caesar salad for my main. The menu isn't terribly gluten friendly but sprouts, caesar, and a cocktail are a pretty elite combo. The inside is nice with lots of wood, glass, and textures. Our server was friendly and attentive.

I woke up Easter morning and there was no Easter Basket filled with chocolates waiting for me. What…read moreshould I expect when I am an old man living alone with two dogs. Since I had no basket to enjoy, I decided to take myself out for Brunch. I remembered the last time I went to brunch at, Brick + Bramble, it was pretty good. So I made myself presentable and headed to Edwardsville. I'll tell you up front, this Brunch far exceeded the last one and I thought it was outstanding. I seated myself at the bar, my favorite place to eat when dining alone. Was glad to see one of my favorite things and that is Hooks and Outlets Under the Bar. It's such a nice touch, to provide those for the customers. Let me start out giving a shout out to the young lady who was bartending. She did an outstanding job making my cocktails and taking my order. I ordered a Morning Martini and she asked if I wanted that or did I really want just an Espresso Martini. She quickly explained the differences and I went with the Espresso. I've had the Morning, but this espresso one, made my morning. While I was reading the Brunch menu, another server came up to retrieve drinks for her table. As she waited, I asked her what would she recommend for me to order. Without blinking she said, Fried Chicken Benedict. I giggled and told that was what I was leaning towards and her recommendation made my mind up. When my Benedict arrived, my eyes bugged out of my head. It was huge, I mean seriously huge. I could not eat all of it, I had to take half home. Later that night, a little warm-up and I had dinner. The Benedict was grilled biscuits topped with hand-bread fried chicken breast topped with over-easy eggs and house made sausage gravy. The breading on the breast was crunchy and crisp. Eggs were done perfectly and the sausage gravy was equal to a farmers wife. I may have been getting full, but I couldn't just have one cocktail. After all it's Brunch and Easter morn. After seeing the flier for the spring cocktail specials, I ordered a Pistachio Martini. It's vanilla vodka, Amaretto, Bailey'sBlue Curacao with a Crushed Pistachio Rim, made up for not having an Easter Basket filled with chocolate. The rich creamy texture was like drinking a dessert. Before spring is over, I'll be back for another. Again, shout out to the great bartender who took care of me.
