A nice family owned business with a friendly owner and great wait staff. Despite the crowd inside, the staff was attentive and friendly and food came out fast. Started out with the antipasto salad and it was delicious. Ordered a side of wings and they were hot and crispy, but a little on the small side. We ordered a giant pizza as that's the only way to describe it and it was an average pizza. I liked the edge pieces more because they were crispier than the middle pieces. The middle pieces were just floppy and a little soggy and floppy. But the flavor was there though. I give it an average rating but it's worth it to try. read more

Ok. I live close and there are always a lot of cars here. I ordered a large pizza extra sauce,extra cheese one topping and 5 wings. Seemed high $46.00. Pizza was huge lots of cheese hardly any sauce. To be fair extra sauce wasn't listed but I ordered it. Crust was done but soft and doughy but not real thick but not real thin. Not my jam but chewy not tough. Sauce I had was just ok cheese acceptable. Wings were tasty but pretty dried up. I got it to go and served taking my order was a bit rude so no tip. I have been coming here for years and I always have a great experience. The servers are incredibly friendly! It's a family owned business and the owners really care about their customers. Food is amazing every time too! The pizza recipe is so different from other places and truly my favorite. I always recommend the Alfonzo bites as an appetizer also! Parking is easy with a huge lot. Our family had dinner here for the first time tonight and this place did not disappoint! The service was impecable right from the start when we got inside to the very end. The employees went above and beyond and catered to everything we wanted/needed. Our server, Ben, was exceptionally great and a great conversationalist. Food was great too! We ordered the chicken wings, garlic bread with cheese, and toasted ravs for appetizers for all of us to share and we all loved each of them. I personally had their fettucine with chicken that came with salad and garlic bread and it was good. Everyone else also loved what they ordered. Even my daughter loved their kids meal spaghetti! Ummm well my family and my wife all went there (total 5 people) well 4 of us got a slice of pizza each and my dad go some pasta (I believe it was lasagna) and all of us got SMALL side salads, and dad got cannoli for his dessert. Well long story short, AND A $120 LATER. We still can't figure out how it got that high. The food was just ok, definitely not worth a $120 dollars. The atmosphere and food here are both so great. The owner (Mike) keeps the food very authentic to the Italian cuisine. It is a family owned business that I have been going to for over 20 years. I love their hot wings. They also have really good cod for a nice, light option. Their house salad is incredible and their house dressing is to die for. I always get it any chance I get. Their pizza is super great. Not too thick, but not too thin. I love getting it with cherry peppers on it! The pizza is not only good that day, but it is also excellent when you heat it up the next day. They have great drinks to go along with their food. The service is so great and you can really tell it is family owned because they care so much. There is plenty of parking. I'd really like to give Alfonzo's a higher rating, but I got to be fair. Let's just start with what they are obviously famous for: the pizza. The pizza is great. I like most kinds of pizza, and theirs is a bit hard to describe. To sum it up, its pizza you would sit and eat endlessly because its that good. I would put their crust very soft with a little burnt, crispy edge here and there. Then you have the cheese and the sauce which is hard to taste at most times. The only thing I don't like about the pizza is they only give you three options on size. You can have it big, mega-huge and just one big slice. In other words, there is no middle ground. Big and small are the only options available. That doesn't sit well with people like me. Their salad is decent, no complaining there. Alfonzo's likes to advertise itself as 'the best margarita in town', and theirs was good. Now onto other menu items: their wings, which they are also famous for. I had the hot boneless wings, and I was extremely disappointed. They are no different than the Tyson boneless wings found in the frozen foods section in the supermarket. Maybe I should have splurged and got their more "advanced" wings like the salt/pepper rub (I believe that's what it was?...) ones. I also had their "Loaded" Fries, which had cheese sauce, cut bacon and jalapenos. Sound good, right? That was another disappointment for me, as the fries tasted like the microwavable kind you get at Dollar General (which is not far from Alfonzo's). I just thought I would try something different on this visit, so that's what I get I guess. My server, Bailey, was very nice and I told her my concerns about the food and she offered to replace them but I rejected. Alfonzo's is a place I've had many memories, mostly during their days as part of Family Fun Time in Maryville. I've also had Alfonzo's on different occasions like kids birthday parties. Like other reviewers pointed out, they have indeed stepped up their game with a nicer place - although I didn't care for the bathrooms. They also have a kid-friendly game room, and a nice private room for parties. Alfonzo's has been a staple for many years, for as long as I've been alive. Literally the worst pizza I have ever eaten. My wife took one bite and said "ugh...that's all you." It was awful. Name any frozen pizza, any at all, it's better and cheaper than Alfonzo's.
