Just moved into the area near this Mod Pizza restaurant. Never ate Mod before, and being a NY slice slob I'm picky in the pie department. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful young gentleman named Andrew. Hang onto him Mod. Customer service is rare these days. Andrew built me a mini-6 pie and the result was very good. Nice thin crust, very nice red sauce floating a sea of mozzarella, obviously quality ingredients and I ate it all. Music was current, seating was comfortable. A good atmosphere, but like I said, Andrew had a major part in that. People make the difference. They're a little pricey but I think it was worth it. They had some interesting salads too I may try next trip, which will be soon. read more

Went to mod for dinner. Ordered a create your own and a Lucy sunshine. When our pizzas were ready they accidentally gave our food to the wrong group, which is fine, but when they remade it, they made them both wrong. I've been here a few times. This review is long overdue. The pizza is great and you can make your own or choose from the flavors the menu. It's like a chipotle for pizza.They have regular gluten free and wheat crusts and plenty of toppings. Your pizza comes out quick so you don't have to wait long. They also have salads, etc. there is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly and patient. The place appears clean. I recommend and will return. Hope you enjoy! read more

Stopped in for a salad. Everyone was very nice and welcoming . Salad was made pretty quickly and I was pretty much out the door. The cashier actually came around the counter to hand me my bag and utensils. That was very nice of him . The salad is pretty good. Ordered from here for the first time tonight and incredibly disappointed we didn't get an entire pizza we ordered. I did two completely different BYOs and they sent us two of the exact same pizzas. The receipts on the boxes were correct but when we opened them, the pizzas were identical. One was supposed to have bacon, sausage and pepperoni (this missing one) and the other had chicken and veggies. This was a one and done. read more

We love Mod pizza and have eaten at several different ones. They usually never disappoint! We ordered three pizzas and a Greek salad with no chickpeas. The employee must have not written down the salad on an order slip, and another work made it, with chickpeas. When she handed to me, I told her I ordered with no chickpeas. She went back to the prep area and clearly picked what she could off the salad. When I asked for a new one bc there was still chickpeas on it, they said I didn't ask for it with none. Rude employees who try to argue with a customer. I know I ordered without! Don't be back to this location. read more

Pizza- 5 stars. Customer service- 1 star. Great pizza - if you order physically in the store. Fairly forgiving customer but too many missed experiences not to post review. Order for pickup or delivery at your own risk. 80% of orders have been wrong or missed items in order for pickup. Delivery has had wrong order more than once for delivery and missing pizza resulting in having to go pickup ourself, get back in delivery line (wait at least another hour), or get a credit (ummm- we ordered because we wanted to eat pizza). Customer service is lukewarm at best about correcting errors. Overall, pizza itself is very good and one of our favorites. Too inconsistent - will fall to the bottom of our list for options. read more

Saturday night pickup order was awful. I didn't return it because we were hungry and not worth the extra trouble. Pizza crusts were not done. And cold. I ordered on 11/17/21. The food is good. That's why we continue ordering from this business period. I'm just sick and tired of using a third party delivery service and having the stores (sardis and Matthews location) NOT taping the boxes down during a global pandemic. I'm legally blind and have had them tell me to come and pick up a new order yet they won't pay for my Transportion. I didn't bother calling for my packages to be taped down. I just wish that they would do it REGARDLESS of a dang phone call. The food is good, but the safety of your customers isn't important obviously. They should REALLY be concerned about food safety no matter how busy they are. JMO. read more

Wonderful pizza! Tasted great. The pepperoni was too spicy though. Also, we had to tell two different pizzas our order. First, to get them to make the pizza in front of us, and then later to pay. This is supposed to be a pizza restaurant, but the employees here are clearly going through the motions preparing the product... The regular size pizza is almost like an appetizer so the maxi, would be the way to go for anyone who is hungry. Ordering extra items, for the pizza, they were thrown on, like a sub sandwich, clearly with no consideration for balance of ingredients/presentation etc. and the pizza was burned on the bottom in spots also... I know this is not a pizzaria per se, but you have to make an effort to present a product with some degree of consistency and quality and make sure your employees understand that. FYI. read more

FOOD POISONING CENTRAL!!! Should have figured that out when the pizza my husband picked up (we ordered 2 different ones) had like a 1/2 ounce of cheese (oh, God, I hope that's what it was!) and a SCHMEAR of horrible tomato sauce. Started feeling sick immediately (OBVIOUSLY CR*P that was left sitting out & as "Poison Control" said "You have a much greater chance of getting food poisoning from your local pizza place than from a frozen pie by a respected company". Funny -- it was exactly THAT which gave me food poisoning, "NEWMAN'S OWN VEGETARIAN PIZZA". Guess I should just be thankful I'm currently alive to talk about it! Very painful & relentless "D". We stopped in for lunch (to go) about 2 weeks ago. My daughter's pizza had a hair in it. She is a vegetarian but had sausage on it.... guess mushrooms and sausage look alike. COVID handling grade = A With MOD, you need to be realistic about what you're getting. It's fast pizza. They can only do that with a very thin crust. Sadly, that crust tastes like a hot saltine without the blessing that is salt. The toppings are fresh, plentiful and good. First thing I noticed about this place is how many people were working...whoa there were like 20 smiling faces greeting you as you walked in! Immediately someone asked us if we've been here and explained the ordering system to us. I decided on the Tristan (pesto veggie style pizza). The crust was so crispy and delicious!!!! The toppings and cheese tasted so good. It's a very family friendly place so if you're looking for a chill spot or semi loud place to take your kids, this is a good choice. They had little chocolate cakes wrapped up at the register and I'd love to try those next time. Great service & great food! Definitely one to put in the rotation. read more

Newest mod pizza in the area- been open for 2 weeks. It was packed! The line was to the door. It went quickly and we were at the front within 10 minutes. We placed our order- went down the line and picked our ingredients out. For those who haven't been to mod before it's a build your own pizza spot where the pizzas are cooked quickly and all ingredients are included in one price. We thought we would have to wait at least 20 minutes given the number of people in the place but our order waS out within 10 minutes of paying! This location definitely has it together unlike the matthews location where we waited over 30 minutes in linE and then 40 minutes for our pizzas. I will be sticking with this MOD location in the future!! read more

The person making pizzas touched a patron's cell phone to talk to his wife. After holding the customers cell phone she then proceeded to reach into the toppings without changing gloves. The staff did not understand why this was a big deal and how disgusting this is. Used to eat here weekly and will not be going back. They did at least tell me happy Halloween as I left. read more

They've worked out some growing pains and there's a noticeable improvement in customer service/engagement. Great thin crust brick-oven pizza! Online ordering is super easy, and it looked like ordering in-person was just as simple. Think of MOD as like a Chipotle in that they make your pizza in front of you and you can choose the toppings. I also liked that I could make a custom salad. Family-friendly and clean with ample parking. A really great concept and a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. My FAVORITE!! Definitely a go to when out running errands and need to grab an individual pizza made to order. They have specialty pies and salads and you also have the option to freestyle!! Since MOD pizza opened up across the street from us, we've been eating about 200% more pizza than we used to. They are always fast and pleasant and the build your own pizzas always sound good. Unlimited toppings is such a great idea. Love this place! read more

Margherita pizza was ok, dough was initially as small as a tortilla & then of course when cooked it shrunk. Again tasted ok & the staff was very friendly, part of their schtick I guess, if I go again maybe I'll try building my own pizza. I would like to try their salads, unsure if those are pricey though.
