Stopped in to try a new pizza place. Pizza was OK, nothing that made it stand out from the big chain pizza places except less grease. We had the Meat Lovers, i was not impressed with the quality of the beef, it was supposed to have meatballs also, we found 2 on a 16" pizza. We may come back and try just the pepperoni but that may be awhile. We try something new each week in Mint hill but so far only the bbq has had us back for a second time. I thought that this place was over priced for what we ordered.

My favorite local spot for takeout. Great food, great service, Fresh-tasting homemade ingredients, and curbside service is a plus.

Just moved here from AZ and we have been searching for a good pizza joint and this place is amazing!! We ordered the 28" pepperoni pizza it fed my entire family of 6 an still have some left overs. The owner and staff are so friendly an out going felt very welcoming when picking up our pizza. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Thank you for an awesome Friday night dinner my family really enjoyed.

Service: Pretty much you order in the front then sit at your table and you fill up your drinks yourself. The service was good everyone was very sweet and friendly. It was a very family friendly environment which is great. Food: The cheese sticks were amazing they tasted homemade and delicious. They had the perfect cheese pulls and crunch. Now for the pizza..... it tasted okay but the texture was very watery. I'm not sure if it was just my pizza that came out a little soggy...but it was dripping. Wish I could have given them a better review because the service was so great. But the pizza just didn't hit the mark for me.

What happened to this place over the years????!!!! At one point I had rated this place 5 stars many moons ago; for years the pizza was always amazing......the last few visits had a slow decline in service, friendliness (thanks to the kids/children that work here), and overall pizza quality. The kids/children that work here have attitudes and aren't friendly at all. It's like they are part of the family so they got a "in" and this is just a job to make some spending cash so they don't care and treat their patrons like they don't matter. The last pizza I got was burnt and tasted horrible so I threw it away. I'm actually pretty sad but will not be giving Big Guys Pizza my business anymore.

I was with my parents in the area at a Farmers Market, and this popped up as a suggestion for lunch. Located at one end of a strip mall, there is plenty of parking in front. As you walk in, you order at the front counter and pick your own table. As my parents are older, I had them sit to look at the menu and I got up to order to save them energy. The pizzas are HUGE. We got the meat lovers, and I was so happy that there were leftovers. You do have to fill up your drinks on your own. They do bring your pizza to you. They also bring plates, silverware and a spatula to get the pizza. Thin crust, great sauce/cheese/topping ratio. I am so glad to have found this place.

I mean it's pizza, it has dough, sauce and toppings. Bit pricey but you're paying for fresh ingredients. Solid 3 stars

We got there and were immediately sat. One server was taking care of the entire front of the house including bar tending. She was hustling and still provided great service. My wife ordered the Chicken Parm entree, i order Chicken Picatta over angel hair, Katy ordered Baked Ziti, Brody ordered a traditional Boli, and Karlea and Piper split a Chicken Basil Pesto Pizza. Our server unintentionally made an extra entree and asked us if we wanted it. It was ravioli Alfredo and we split it up between my daughters and wife. My son ordered a traditional boli which was large that came with a bowl of red sauce. Their red sauce is outstanding! Halfway through he asked for more red sauce and she delivered a new bowl quickly. Always a great meal with tremendous portion sizes with outstanding service. I highly recommend Mamma's! Cause you gonna like!

The pizza here is very, very delicious. One of the few…read moreplaces here where I can still get a nice thin crust pizza done right. The pizza and local convenience is the only reason we came here a few times. For the quality of the pizza, I still consider it a great value compared to other "social media trendy" but highly overpriced, overrated places. The environment can be nice, especially with the "night light" lamps they put on the table, music is not overwhelmingly loud or obnoxious. The white tablecloth is a nice touch. The chairs are decent. However, the wait can be very long, even if not busy. We've been here at least 4 times on various days and times (weekdays, late afternoons, early evenings, weekends, etc.) and we typically wait about 40+ minutes or so for the food to be ready. Even when there's only 2-3 other customers around, it takes about 25-30 minutes after ordering for the food to receive it. The last time we were here, it took more than 1 hour for the food to be ready. The service staff is extremely nice. However, there's still something "off" about this place and them. For example, the bar worker is expected to not only pour drinks at the bar, but also attend to non-bar restaurant guests. This is kind of weird. This place seems to give more attention and priority to bar customers and alcohol drinking "buddies" of the bar staff. The staff loves to sit and chat with their "friends" (regulars) while minimally and superficially attending to normal customers with a less sense of priority and urgency. I don't expect them to rush every single thing, but it was extremely obvious that the focus was to prioritize bar patrons over non-alcohol restaurant customers. Perhaps this is for profit reasons and if so, they should just be honest about it and separate bar staff from food waiters, like normal places do, or just simply be a bar place and not a pizza place. Also, the pizza making area is open and you can hear the workers every argument and discussion when it comes to wages, scheduling, next shift coverage, etc.. This is weird. At the price point of this pizza, I didn't think staff was being treated and paid so poorly. The vibe of the workers was just so "off", in general. The waitresses and waiters are very nice but often aloof and behave oddly. Like, is there something sketchy going on at this place? Are they on substances? Everyone is friendly but has no attention to detail, urgency or anything else. The last time we were here, it was very busy. But it took at least 1 hour to make 2 or 3 pizzas. The manager could tell we weren't happy. However, we didn't even know he was the manager as he didn't introduce himself properly but offered to comp our meal. This place gets 2 stars because of him and the delicious pizza . But if I ever come back, it'll just be order out by myself. The other person I came with absolutely hated the service and wait of this place and doesn't want to come back again.

This is not another Italian restaurant in Charlotte run by owners that have zero Italian heritage. You all know the places I am talking about. Eggplant and Chicken dishes are great, very nice wine selection at reasonable prices and good pours. There are other Charlotte restaurants that we used to frequent but stopped going because no matter how much you spent on the food, they cheated you on the wine pours. Review for North Italia…read more has absolutely become one of my staples in Charlotte.** It's located in the heart of South End--a trendy, energetic neighborhood with beautiful outdoor dining--and one of the biggest perks here is easy parking, which, as any Charlotte diner knows, is always a win. Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous. Think large, comfortable booths, warm lighting, fresh flowers, and a lively but polished atmosphere. I always make a reservation through OpenTable--I'm too old to be waiting around to eat, and I might as well rack up some points and perks while I'm at it. One of the things I appreciate most about North Italia is their seasonal menu. It keeps the experience fresh and thoughtful, and you can tell the kitchen is paying attention to ingredients and timing. I usually start with a glass of wine-- a sparkling rosé or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc--something cold, clean, and refreshing. Bubbles are always a good option for me. They serve a delicious focaccia at the table, which I sometimes indulge in, but the dish that truly stands out--the one I still dream about--was a seasonal ravioli with butternut squash and crispy sage. It was beautifully balanced, comforting, and memorable in the best way. Other favorites: * The Caesar salad--perfectly dressed * The arancini and calamari--always solid starters * The pizzas, especially the cacio e pepe * And yes, the desserts are absolutely worth saving room for Brunch here is also a lovely experience. Sitting on the patio, eating alfresco on a sunny Sunday, reminds me so much of what I loved about California--being outdoors, enjoying great food, and taking your time. Thankfully, there's plenty of shade, so it's comfortable even on warm days. They do offer a happy hour. It's not the most extensive in town, but it's perfectly fine for drinks, a pizza, or a charcuterie board with friends after work. What keeps me coming back: * Consistently good service * Clean, beautiful space * Thoughtful seasonal dishes * Easy parking * Reliable quality Yes, it's a bit upscale--but it's approachable, welcoming, and dependable. And when a chef takes the time to create seasonal dishes that appeal to diners with curious palates, that deserves recognition. Bottom line: A polished, reliable favorite in South End that delivers great food, beautiful ambiance, and a consistently enjoyable dining experience.
