I pass this restaurant often when I visit adjacent grocery stores. I called in to place a quick take out order for dinner. I had lasagna with garlic knots. It was just ok. Not terrible but not terrific either. If you're hoping for great Italian food, this may not be your spot.

Phone is often answered. Atmosphere is a traditional mom & pop Italian restaurant. Pizza price isn't commensurate to the quality.

Overall it was a nice experience. The place has some space between tables, so it doesn't feel that crowded. The service treated us very nice. Food it self was good, but I wasn't blown. Surprisingly, I was blown by the desserts hahaha It's a good place for a casual meal

We came here by recommendation for the fresh pasta. We ordered it and it was absolutely not home made. I asked and waitress said it was. It's very clear when it's home made or from a box. I went to the sister restaurant a couple of years ago for the fresh pasta, and they didn't have it then either. They should not advertise that they sell it. The pizza tasted exactly like an English muffin. The eggplant was delicious but the rest of the food was not. The service was slow and there was barely anyone there.

A beautiful restaurant that offers some live music, karaoke or music bingo some select nights. I happened to learn abt the Frank Sinatra impersonator so I took my dad since we both love his music. The show was awesome and my dad truly enjoyed himself. Service was great but like most places short staffed, I was very tickled at the "robotic" waitress that would bring out the food to each table. This place is great for a girls night, date night or just solo. I had the Angela's Special pizza and it was yummy. My dad got the salmon dish, and then got the salmon pizza to go. This place is definitely worth checking out.

We celebrated my Soul Brothers Birthday at Angela's and even though our Rita couldn't be there - the amazing staff and beautiful food did her proud! Truly a wonderful event for our group of 16 on a Friday night. They can definitely host large groups and did an impeccable job I tried to get pictures of all the dishes - omg...the shrimp special and calamari apps? My absolute favorites! Perfectly seasoned and the salt highlighted the calamari, which was tender and fresh. Everyone LOVED handmade pastas/gnocchi and my go-to of Milanese, this time I did veal vs chicken. Tender, cooked perfectly. Beautiful light lemon flavor. The man of the hour had the home made gnocchi and lobster a specialty of Rita and the staff did a wonderful job!! My FAVORITE dessert? LIMONCELLO cake!! Others had pistachio gelato and cannoli - truly delicious. Worth a visit for sure.

I can't click enough stars for this place. We arrived and were graciously greeted and seated Immediately. It's a lovely restaurant, big enough for large parties yet allows for intimate dinning. Though "Angela's" has been around for over a decade it gave a fresh/clean and new vibe. Warm bread and oil was served while we started on our salads. Both of which were huge and very very fresh. The menu had some tempting offerings but we decided to go with the specials that day. We got seasonal pumpkin ravioli, stuffed with ricotta and spinach in a cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious and made right on site. I opted for the prime rib with shrimp and garlic sauce that came with mashed potatoes and grilled green beans. Though we couldn't finish our meals we still ordered a desert to bring home. The owners (from Italy) have an expresso machine and the chef uses fresh expresso to make the Tiramisu. Our server Sid suggested it and it did not disappoint

Angela's cancelled our reservation while we were en route just minutes before we were set to arrive.
    Justin G.

Angela's horribly mismanaged our reservation. Despite contacting us earlier through OpenTable to confirm, Sid, the manager, called us just fourteen minutes before our confirmed reservation (while we were already driving to the restaurant) to inform us that he was closing due to snow. I understand that even a small amount of snow can be a significant problem, but Sid had ample notice--days of advanced forecasting, night-before and day-of alerts, and hours of prior flurries--to clear the books and close the restaurant. Instead, he kept his staff and customers-including the other party he turned away-out in the weather without any practical notice. While I respect the decision to close, I am disappointed by Sid's inconsiderate handling of the situation. Leadership should empower managers like Sid to utilize readily available information to make proactive decisions that prioritize the well-being of their employees and respect their customers. Unfortunately, that didn't happen in this instance.

We stopped in here for a weeknight late bite when our options were somewhat limited. Thankfully at that hour, street parking in NoDa wasn't too bad, we got a spot just off the main drag. Slices here are GIGANTIC, one is easily about 3 standard slices of pizza, or two normal NY size slices. We got a pepperoni and a cheese. The pepperoni had nice kick to them and the cheese was a high quality. You had to let the pepperoni grease drain onto your plate a bit, but that is expected. The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. Terrible. Almost knocked a star off for it, that bad. Regardless of the world's worst stools, I would come back for more pizza and just plan on not eating it there.

I visited on a Saturday while there was a parade and festival happening nearby. Even with all the activity, we got there before the big crowd rolled in, so ordering was quick and easy. It was extremely hot outside that day, but the food made it worth it. I ordered a pizza, my friend had one of the salads, and we grabbed some potato wedges from another vendor inside the market. The pizza was the star of the meal. It came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they have their process down. One thing I really liked was their pickup system. After ordering, they send you a text message when your pizza is ready, and they also call your name. It made the whole experience easy, so you don't have to stand around wondering when your food will be done. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept everything moving smoothly. There are several other vendors inside 7th Street Market that I want to try on a future visit, but I'll definitely be stopping back at Geno D's for another pizza. It is a small cute spot inside, NYC style. Some people don't like sitting so close to other customers, but I enjoy small intimate restaurants. As for the food - pizza was delish (love that they have beef pepperoni), but the viral kale Ceasar and buttermilk ice cream on the olive oil cake stole the show. I will say review that bill well once it arrives. We saw we were overcharged for drinks, our waitress put the tab of our next door table on ours. We did go back inside before leaving to get it straightened out, and they were nice about it. Service is good but a little slow when it came to getting things like extra napkins, drinks, etc.....and I could tell some waitresses were a bit more attentive to their tables vs. others. Definitely would return, but maybe more so just to pick up a pizza at the outside window and take it back home.

The waiter was efficient, not friendly but not unfriendly either, just doing his job pretty much. Would have been nice to have him check on us once or twice but again not the biggest deal. The pizza: my son really enjoyed it and gave it a 5/5 and hubby ranked it a 3/5. He thought the crust was a tad too soggy. Side Caesar: 3/5 had some pieces of the lettuce that should have never made it in the salad and the dressing was just okay. Morty: also a 3/5. Too much arugula, we took some out and then seasoned the rest with s&p and some crushed red pepper flakes. It just lacked a depth of flavor and the bread and arugula overpowered it. The seasoning helped a bit. I even added garlic aioli based on a review I read on here but I didn't taste it. The pasta salad it came with also lacked flavor, though very green and appearing loaded with flavor it was not. And when eating it, the texture was very gummy. Didn't finish that. Overall, it was okay but I'm not likely to return just because there are better options based on the things we tried. But taste is subjective and it just wasn't our vibe today. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.
