I absolutely loved Indaco! We came here for dinner and it was an incredible date night spot. The ambiance is modern with plenty of lighting and great seating; they have a downstairs section and an upstairs area that overlooks the dining room and kitchen. The service was spectacular, our server gave great recommendations and was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, including keeping our water refilled. We started with the pesto roasted Brussels sprouts, which were delicious and served as a pretty large portion. For the main, we decided to split the Radiatori Nero. We had never tasted anything like it! The pasta has such a funky, fun texture that pairs perfectly with the sauce because it really holds onto it. The shrimp that came with it were amazing as well, a good size and cooked to perfection. We would hands down order this again! We also got the mushroom pizza, which came with plenty of truffle aioli and a crunchy crust with an incredible cheese pull. All the portions were generous; we actually ended up having enough to take home for another meal! Of course, we could not skip dessert. We got the tiramisu, which is a total must-order no matter how full you are! The cocktails were also great, I tried a blueberry drink, and they have an impressive wine selection as well. I thought Indaco was ok, though don't get me wrong, the ambiance is amazing and it's very pretty! What we tried: - Focaccia (4.5/5): This was very tasty! Came with 4 medium-sized slices, so a bit overpriced. - Tagliatelle (3.5/5): The pasta was a nice texture if you like it a bit firmer, but there was hardly any meat at all - essentially no pork. This was disappointing as it felt like I basically just paid for a small portion of egg noodles with one egg on top. It was quite bland. - Orecchiette (4/5): Friend liked it, but it was very heavy and made him feel bloated after/need to use the restroom. I also requested no cheese on my tagliatelle due to allergy and it came out with cheese... so they returned with another one that looked a bit smaller than my friend's, who got it regularly. Beware if you have allergies/make sure to look twice! Our server was nice but the manager serving food to customers looked a bit stressed. I wouldn't come back also because the menu didn't have too many options that appealed to me, but the environment was nice. read more

I met a friend here for dinner. The ambience is amazing all of the outdoor seating is beautiful. I tried a cucumber drink with vodka which was tasty and I ordered th italian salad. I added shrimp which was 5 small shrimp. I think I was quite shocked when the bill came and my salad ended up being $35. Maybe next time I will try something such as the pizza. I went for restaurant week and got a three course meal for $50 which in all honestly isn't all that bad in today's economy. The server was very pleasant as she let us try multiple different wines and gave great recommendations. I was catching up with a girlfriend so we were talking a ton trying to catch up and the server was very patient with us and came back a few times giving us a good amount of time to decide. We didn't feel rushed at all. The pasta was sooo yummy, it was my first time getting pasta with a raw egg but it was great and really enriched the flavor. When I say amazing, everything was amazing! We came here for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was so beautiful. It was an evening date. The lighting was perfect. Came here with friends for a Sunday brunch for the first time, really liked the ambience of the place; had plenty of seating. Service was really good. The food was okay: the Pancakes were good but their fruits they put on top change so was expecting apples on top instead of strawberry but the whipped compote balanced everything out. I was looking for an Italian place to try that I'd never been to before. Indaco came up in my search, and it also happened to be during Savor Charlotte, which featured a 3-course meal with special pricing. Indaco was participating, so it seemed like a great time to try both the restaurant and event. Indaco is located in South End, tucked in the back corner of Atherton Mill. There is outside seating as you walk into the entrance with pretty lighting. We ate downstairs, but there is upstairs seating as well. There is also lot and deck parking close by. The inside of the restaurant is warm with pretty fixtures and a direct view of the kitchen and the bar. We had an amiable server who made great recommendations for both drinks and food. We tried the Roman Dawn and Sole Serenade for drinks, and then chose from the Savor Charlotte menu. Each of the courses was amazing. The polpette was the first course. These are meatballs with Ceshire pork. They were very plentiful and filling for an appetizer...and tasty too! For the second course, we tried the tagliatelle. It came served with an egg yolk in the center and pork tesa, which had a little bit of a crunch to it. I'd never had tagliatelle served this way. The texture was interesting, and I enjoyed it a lot. We wrapped up with the tiramisu and the zeppole. Both were delicious. There were a number of items I was interested in trying. I had a tasty brunch here last weekend! We arrived around 1pm and were seated immediately at a high top. Parking was tough to find but I got a spot in the adjacent garage. We split a mimosa carafe with pineapple and orange juice which was a delicious combination. We the split a breakfast sandwich and pizza. Staff was friendly but it did take a while for each round to come out. This is a nicely decorated, spacious place with an upstairs area too. Lots of windows and bright, natural light coming through. This is in the heart of south end/atherton mill shops. And plenty of other great shops/restaurants around. Indaco, or "Indigo", is a darling and sophisticated Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of South End. Very clean, fresh and inviting space. I absolutely loved their Steak & Eggs and Tagliatelle dishes were cooked perfectly. Their roasted fingerling potatoes are the most addicting thing I've eaten! Their steak was juicy and tender, seared to perfection. The tagliatelle is their longest standing pasta dish for a reason, and I'm here for it. Let me just say, if you're looking for a cute date night, girls dinner, or just any occasion to enjoy a night out, Indaco is a must have. It's located right in Atherton Mill in Southend and is easily accessible from both the light rail and parking can be found in Atherton Mill or around. I will say if you come for dinner, I would definitely make a reservation ahead of time. While it's a popular and more intimate restaurant the space is limited inside. They do offer bar and patio seating( with heaters) so will be back when spring rolls around for some patio weather. I met a group of friends for a friends birthday dinner and were immediately greeted and seated upstairs. We opted to split the focaccia bread and also got a shared bowl of Brussels sprouts and to my surprise it was a huge helping for all 8 of us to go around. This honestly may have been my favorite and would easily get next time just as a side with one of the pasta's. One this night I usually would've gotten one of the handmade pasta's: I recommend the Buccatini with the cacio pepe sauce! But this night I wanted just something a little light so I opted to get the burrata as my main meal. Was light and refreshing and not too heavy! I decided to try Indaco shortly before a flight. My experience was very mixed as the decor was very charming and welcoming and the service was impeccable (Keira was amazingly attentive) but the food fell flat. I tried the following items: pomogranate/fig martini (5/5; unique and tasty), misty mountain (4.5/5; refreshing and tasty), tuna crudo (4.75/5; generous portion and very fresh. I enjoyed the sauces and capers), tagliatelle (3/5; this was supposed to be their take on a carbonara. The pasta itself was fine but the sauce was watery/runny and overall underwhelming. The pork tesa was also a bit hard), grilled trout (3.5/5; the trout on this dish was actually cooked and seasoned perfectly, but all the other components didn't go. The gnocchi was HARD. Not crispy, hard. I avoided it. And the spinach and butternut squash just didn't really pair well), and finally we got a sausage pizza with extra veggies to-go (3/5; I was very excited about this dish because the pizza looked amazing but sadly it was burnt, which overwhelmed any other flavor). Sadly, Indaco did not meet my expectations for tasty fresh pasta and honestly, the experience has left me wanting a bowl of carbonara that's actually satifying. read more

Would not recommend. I wanted to try a new place for charlotte restaurant week. First off-it felt like the air conditioning wasn't working. I sweat through my clothes -the entire time. When I got up to leave I was soaked. It took a lot for me not to get up and leave. The parking here is very difficult. For $50 I got ceaser salad, gluten free pizza and the smallest gluten free piece of chocolate cake ever given. I could have gone to one of the steak houses..and just had a better over all meal. I got the gluten free pizza-it needed a touch of salt-once added it was good. If you have a chickpea allergy-beware the gluten free pasta has chickpea flour. First of all the location and vibes are unmatched. It's the type of place that when you walk by you are immediately drawn to. It's very lively inside and we were lucky to get a seat at the bar area, which was actually a table looking outside onto the patio. Excellent service. I wasn't drinking that night, but the drinks looked good. The soppresata pizza was easily the best thing on the menu (just look at it!) We also tried their take on burrata (paired with pears; was good, but not enough bread) and the pappardelle (good, but too much parsley which honestly affected the flavor a lot). The waiter recommended the chicken to us which did look delicious when it was brought out to the table next to us. I will have to try it and some more pizzas next time! read more

Phenomenal!!!! Visited on a Friday around 12 pm for lunch and it was not busy yet so we immediately sat at a table for 2. Our waitress Hannah was very pleasant, friendly, and efficient and gave great recommendations. Ordered their steak and eggs which was delicious. The steak was cooked medium and was very well seasoned. The eggs were scrambled and were very fluffy. It came with a side salad which was just arugula which I do NOT like BUT honestly, with the dressing it came with, it helped tone down the arugula taste for me and I was able to enjoy the salad with my meal. I can only imagine how great the food will taste for dinner. I plan on coming back and trying some of their other dishes. I highly recommend this place for lunch or even a date night. The customer service iss amazing. Our food did take a while to come out but they were really accommodating and got us a second round of drinks and a dessert to make up for it. They also asked if we were on a date which we were and they gave us fun conversation starter cards to discuss over dinner. Indaco is a fantastic Italian restaurant in Charlotte. I live in New York and have been to a ton of Italian places, but Indaco will remain special. Here's why- The moment you walk in, you are greeted by an airy and modern layout with an open kitchen and pleasant staff. We had a reservation but had a 10-min delay in seating. We didn't even complain but the staff acknowledged the wait and one offered us multiple appetizers on the house. We ended up enjoying their caesar salad, burrata, mushroom pizza and beet buccatini pasta. Each & every dish was simply delicious. The caesar salad is loaded with lettuce & shredded cheese. The burrata, with its creamy buttery taste lay beautifully on a bed of fresh pesto contrasted by the yummy charred artichokes and bread served on the side. The mushroom pizza with its garlicky umami flavor & fresh feel of the Arugula was top notch. The beet buccatini with goat cheese mouse was a quirky take on the classic. Wish we had room for desserts- until next time. Many restaurants get food right but few restaurants get the service right even on a busy Saturday evening. Hats off to Indaco! read more
