Came here for brunch with friends and had a great time! Clean, relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. We had some allergies at our table and they were very cautious and accommodating. Food was delicious and portions were good. Appreciated the extra crispy bacon that came with mine. Cooked to perfection! Everyone loved their food and even had enough to take some home. Ready to come back and try their dinner menu!
I absolutely loved Indaco! We came here for dinner and it was an incredible date night spot. The ambiance is modern with plenty of lighting and great seating; they have a downstairs section and an upstairs area that overlooks the dining room and kitchen. The service was spectacular, our server gave great recommendations and was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, including keeping our water refilled. We started with the pesto roasted Brussels sprouts, which were delicious and served as a pretty large portion. For the main, we decided to split the Radiatori Nero. We had never tasted anything like it! The pasta has such a funky, fun texture that pairs perfectly with the sauce because it really holds onto it. The shrimp that came with it were amazing as well, a good size and cooked to perfection. We would hands down order this again! We also got the mushroom pizza, which came with plenty of truffle aioli and a crunchy crust with an incredible cheese pull. All the portions were generous; we actually ended up having enough to take home for another meal! Of course, we could not skip dessert. We got the tiramisu, which is a total must-order no matter how full you are! The cocktails were also great, I tried a blueberry drink, and they have an impressive wine selection as well. Definitely worth checking out and making it a regular spot for date night!
This place is a vibe to say the least. I saw so many 5 star reviews so I knew I had to try it. I went for restaurant week and got a three course meal for $50 which in all honestly isn't all that bad in today's economy. The server was very pleasant as she let us try multiple different wines and gave great recommendations. I was catching up with a girlfriend so we were talking a ton trying to catch up and the server was very patient with us and came back a few times giving us a good amount of time to decide. We didn't feel rushed at all. The pasta was sooo yummy, it was my first time getting pasta with a raw egg but it was great and really enriched the flavor. The tiramisu was fluffy and they gave you a good amount of food for the pre-fixed menu.
When I say amazing, everything was amazing! We came here for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was so beautiful. It was an evening date. The lighting was perfect. The kitchen was an open kitchen concept which is always cool to be able to see the chefs preparing your meal. The service was extraordinary. All of the food was prepared to our liking. You could taste the freshness of each dish we had. They also gave us a dessert to share that we didn't get a picture of. We also had a nice glass of wine that went perfectly with our food. It's a wonderful space for an elevated date.
Bit of a limited menu made it a bit easier to pick food. Everything was good. Had the mushroom pizza and wood fired oysters. Tasted my friends Bucatini Casio e Pepe, black truffle and pecorino toscano with the additional bolognese that was really very good. Inside and outside seating. Dani the server was excellent. I recommend!
I had a tasty brunch here last weekend! We arrived around 1pm and were seated immediately at a high top. Parking was tough to find but I got a spot in the adjacent garage. We split a mimosa carafe with pineapple and orange juice which was a delicious combination. We the split a breakfast sandwich and pizza. Staff was friendly but it did take a while for each round to come out. This is a nicely decorated, spacious place with an upstairs area too. Lots of windows and bright, natural light coming through. This is in the heart of south end/atherton mill shops. And plenty of other great shops/restaurants around. There was a farmers/makers market going on right outside nearby so it was fun to explore that after.
Came here with friends for a Sunday brunch for the first time, really liked the ambience of the place; had plenty of seating. Service was really good. The food was okay: the Pancakes were good but their fruits they put on top change so was expecting apples on top instead of strawberry but the whipped compote balanced everything out. The ceaser salad was really tasty and great portion to split between 3. Steak and eggs were alright as well as the pie and burrata toast.
Indaco is an awesome Italian restaurant in south end that's great for a date night, girls night out, or more upscale dinner. All of the food is always good, I love the pizzas and pastas best (which is most of the menu). The Brussels sprouts were also delicious, extra crispy and with an "Italian chili crisp" that was very tasty. Indaco is definitely worth trying if you want good Italian food in a nice setting.
Indaco, or "Indigo", is a darling and sophisticated Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of South End. Very clean, fresh and inviting space. I absolutely loved their Steak & Eggs and Tagliatelle dishes were cooked perfectly. Their roasted fingerling potatoes are the most addicting thing I've eaten! Their steak was juicy and tender, seared to perfection. The tagliatelle is their longest standing pasta dish for a reason, and I'm here for it. The cubes of bacon are crispy and pepper pasta made fresh in house! I would definitely visit again on the next to visit South End.
I was looking for an Italian place to try that I'd never been to before. Indaco came up in my search, and it also happened to be during Savor Charlotte, which featured a 3-course meal with special pricing. Indaco was participating, so it seemed like a great time to try both the restaurant and event. Indaco is located in South End, tucked in the back corner of Atherton Mill. There is outside seating as you walk into the entrance with pretty lighting. We ate downstairs, but there is upstairs seating as well. There is also lot and deck parking close by. The inside of the restaurant is warm with pretty fixtures and a direct view of the kitchen and the bar. We had an amiable server who made great recommendations for both drinks and food. We tried the Roman Dawn and Sole Serenade for drinks, and then chose from the Savor Charlotte menu. Each of the courses was amazing. The polpette was the first course. These are meatballs with Ceshire pork. They were very plentiful and filling for an appetizer...and tasty too! For the second course, we tried the tagliatelle. It came served with an egg yolk in the center and pork tesa, which had a little bit of a crunch to it. I'd never had tagliatelle served this way. The texture was interesting, and I enjoyed it a lot. We wrapped up with the tiramisu and the zeppole. Both were delicious. There were a number of items I was interested in trying. I liked the atmosphere, food and service and will return in the near future.
Came in on a beautiful Friday expecting to wait a while, were immediately greeted and told one table was finishing and would be done shortly. Seated within 5 minutes of arriving and greeted with an extremely attentive server. All staff members were extremely helpful and kind. Food is always amazing and tonight was no different!
Let me just say, if you're looking for a cute date night, girls dinner, or just any occasion to enjoy a night out, Indaco is a must have. It's located right in Atherton Mill in Southend and is easily accessible from both the light rail and parking can be found in Atherton Mill or around. I will say if you come for dinner, I would definitely make a reservation ahead of time. While it's a popular and more intimate restaurant the space is limited inside. They do offer bar and patio seating( with heaters) so will be back when spring rolls around for some patio weather. I met a group of friends for a friends birthday dinner and were immediately greeted and seated upstairs. We opted to split the focaccia bread and also got a shared bowl of Brussels sprouts and to my surprise it was a huge helping for all 8 of us to go around. This honestly may have been my favorite and would easily get next time just as a side with one of the pasta's. One this night I usually would've gotten one of the handmade pasta's: I recommend the Buccatini with the cacio pepe sauce! But this night I wanted just something a little light so I opted to get the burrata as my main meal. Was light and refreshing and not too heavy! I I will say I've come here for Lunch before and had their pizzas and if you're looking for a great place to share big pizzas, this is your spot. Easily could feed 2-3 with the size of them. Can't wait to come back hungry for more!
Great food. Ordered focaccia which was excellent along with sausage pizza + IPA. Pizza ended up taking about 15 minutes to come out- and was offered a selection of wines as a result! Wonderful service and pizza is top notch.

My friends and I went to Indaco for restaurant week. It was one of the best decisions we made that evening. The food was amazing (I'm still thinking about the pasta I had that night LOL), and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxing! Perfect spot for a girls date night. Our reservation was later in the evening, around 9pm, we were some of the last few patrons there, but the service was great and well maintained throughout the entire night! read more
Indaco is a fantastic Italian restaurant in Charlotte. I live in New York and have been to a ton of Italian places, but Indaco will remain special. Here's why- The moment you walk in, you are greeted by an airy and modern layout with an open kitchen and pleasant staff. We had a reservation but had a 10-min delay in seating. We didn't even complain but the staff acknowledged the wait and one offered us multiple appetizers on the house. We ended up enjoying their caesar salad, burrata, mushroom pizza and beet buccatini pasta. Each & every dish was simply delicious. The caesar salad is loaded with lettuce & shredded cheese. The burrata, with its creamy buttery taste lay beautifully on a bed of fresh pesto contrasted by the yummy charred artichokes and bread served on the side. The mushroom pizza with its garlicky umami flavor & fresh feel of the Arugula was top notch. The beet buccatini with goat cheese mouse was a quirky take on the classic. Wish we had room for desserts- until next time. Many restaurants get food right but few restaurants get the service right even on a busy Saturday evening. Hats off to Indaco! read more

My friend and I had a phenomenal experience at Indaco! The staff went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable. After stating we were celebrating a birthday on my reservation note, they asked if we had any special interests. I gave some details, and they had a gift waiting for my friend at the table when we showed up. It was so thoughtful! The rest of our dinner was delicious, and the atmosphere at Indaco is elegant yet homey! We will be back again soon! read more
We met friends for lunch, and thankfully, I brought a jacket. It was freezing inside! Initially, our service was prompt, but there was a long wait between drinks and entrées. No matter, we weren't in a rush, and the food was worth the wait. Highlights at our table where the breakfast pizza and cinnamon roll. read more

I went again to try two different pasta dishes and the pasta was just very bland and not as good as previous entrees I had gotten in the past. But the tiramisu was amazing- would definitely go back for pizza and dessert but skip the pasta next time (unless they bring back the ravioli). read more

Great meal in a fun part of Charlotte. The South End has some great eating spots and shopping. Indaco is fresh Italian. No classic heavy sauces (except the bolognese) fresh house made pasta and pizzas, but the rest of the menu is really different. The burrata was delicious and they are super accommodating for gluten free. I had the roasted chicken. It has a great buttery sauce, severed with gnocchi and roasted artichoke--good garlic flavor. Everyone else enjoyed the flank steak--cooked perfectly. The drinks were inventive and presented with flair. read more

Thank you for joining us for brunch, Kathryn! We're thrilled to hear…
I've been wanting to try this South End spot for a while and was so excited to get the opportunity!! My friends and I made a reservation here for brunch and were seated promptly. (Note that the hours have changed so they are closed 3-5pm between lunch and dinner!!) I got the Margherita pizza and it was phenomenal! Oven-roasted, fresh crust, and delicious toppings.. what more could you need from a warm and filling pizza. I even tried a slice of my friends caramelized onion pizza which was also very flavorful (loved the goat cheese!) We then shared some Zeppoles for dessert. I had never had these before but they were very donut-like served with warm caramel.. my sweet side could not get enough! Highly recommend! The service was very attentive, especially since we went around 2pm after the brunch rush. The interior was beautifully decorated with large windows creating lots of natural light. Parking was available around the atherton mall but it was a bit busy considering it was the weekend. Overall - great experience here! read more
Started the night with a drink at the bar. The bartender was very nice, provided his recommendations and I enjoyed the view of the string lights while I sipped my Blue Monday. I got seated with a friend and asked for the shtick since it was my first time and learned they use fresh, local ingredients and do offer some gluten free pasta and pizza dough. I had the meatballs, burrata, market catch (swordfish), chocolate tiramisu. Everything was delicious!! I went with the recommended wine pairing of the rosso di montalcino and it was so good!! Thoroughly enjoyed my evening and will definitely be back! read more

Happy hour here is so worth it! Great deals on charcuterie plates and other delicious appetizers. The drinks are also fantastic! Staff was quick and took great care of us! read more
The service started poorly with us waiting 10 mins and grabbing a server. I appreciate the staff wearing masks but the ambiance is anything but intimate so it was very hard to hear the server. The manager came over and rectified the situation and checked on us throughout the evening. Probably helped that my dining companion had a bright Yelp bag sitting next to her flashing like a beacon. The roasted carrots was just amount of roast for me. Just a bit of crunch and no mush. The agnolotti was a small portion and the flavors were mild. Everyone loved the black garlic pizza The mousse dessert is obviously not made in house which doesn't bother me. I was wanting more of the caramel drizzle to couple with the chocolate. All in all a solid offering and they seem to still be working out a few kinks. read more
Happening spot in South End. We came for my bride's birthday (reservations are a very good idea) on a Sat night and were seated at a high top near the bar. Decent local beer selection and great service. We started with the Winter Green Salad ($14) and it was tasty and plenty to share. My bride ordeed the Margherita Pizza ($15) and it was well prepared. I ordered the Ziti/Lamb Bolognese ($27) and it was fine. We both commented that we thought the food was appealing and well prepared - but just didn't think it was particularly flavorful. read more

YES YES YES. We came here around the holidays in December and were not disappointed. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive. We decided to order the chef menu (the wording escapes me), but it was well worth the price per head. You get 2 appetizers, a pizza, 2 kinds of pasta, 2 entrees, 1 side, and 2 desserts. It says chef's choice but our waitress was kind and let us pick all of them. It was amazing and it was a great way to literally try the menu. The portions were the same as if you ordered a la carte. There's an upcharge for certain items on the menu, but well worth it. The pesto pizza was surprisingly good. Didn't know warm apple slices paired so well with pesto. The ossobucco was simply tender and melted off the bone. The spicy shrimp pasta left us speechless. Large shrimps and a yummy al dente squid ink pasta. Perfection. Can't wait to go back. Parking is available (free) at a nearby garage. read more

My family and I have always had a great experience at Indaco, but last night was especially fantastic. Our server, named Montreal, was one of the best waitresses we had (across the US) in a very long time. She gave us the perfect amount of time to enjoy our dishes, talk, and spend time as a family before asking about next dishes or how everything was. She provided fantastic recommendations from food to drink to dessert! Genuinely a sweet and nice human being! The food was phenomenal! We ordered the Focaccia, Little Gem Salad, Broccolini, Sausage Pizza, and Orechiette. Wow! Everything was delicious and full of the flavor. For next time, we would ask for fewer onions on the pizza, but it was still delicious. To drink, we ordered the Blue Monday, Ice Ice Baby, and What's My Age. We had the first two made less sweet and we're fantastic! For dessert, we ordered the gelato trio, sorbet, Espresso Martini, and Chocolate Mousse. What a great way to end the night. When you need a spot for a great dinner with friends, family, or a date spot, this is a great place to go! read more

Who knew that Indaco now serves brunch ? Going on a few weeks now. I stopped in last Sunday to check out their brunch menu. I have been here several times but for dinner so I was hyped to try brunch here. Indaco is known for their hand made pastas, wood fired pizza, & well crafted cocktails. So with that being said I had to indulge in one of their famous brunch pizzas. Next time I would try it without the meats and just try the eggs and one other meat on the pizza but the pizza itself was pretty darn tasty . We started off with the burrata toast with a twist , oh my and those cinnamon waffles are a must if you visit for brunch be sure they don't forget the honey butter . The steak & eggs were also a hi lite due to how tender and juicy the steak was I could go back for the steak alone! Last but not least was dessert . Who has ever heard of an olive oil cake ? Me either until I tried theirs. The consistency of the cake was giving me very much spongy pound cake and we loved it. Catch a brunch vibe here on Saturdays & Sundays from 11am-3pm read more

If you're ever in the area do yourself the favor and try this place out! This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Which I would advise to sit outdoors if the weather allows. The food is absolutely divine. We ordered the family style course meal. I would 10/10 recommend and encourage to come with an appetite! Our waiter was absolutely attentive and very informative! We definitely recommend this place! read more

Utterly delightful. First of all, our waiter, Chris, was really great. Loved his energy, his suggestions, his attention. Always right place, right time. Our experience was on point because of him. The space is very nicely done. And the food! My dinner was like little pockets of perfectly fluffy clouds. Agnolotti done very very well in my opinion. Very flavorful, perfect texture, and the right amount. I had the Daisy Buchanan as a drink alongside. Dessert included a sweet potato option and a lemon tart. Both spectacular and would recommend. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience. read more

I hadn't really heard a ton about this place since they opened, but recently a trusted friend highly recommended it. When I saw the restaurant week menu, it was a no brainer. You can get pizza as an appetizer. My husband and I shared: - Spicy Sopresatta Pizza - Roasted Mushroom Pizza - Black Pepper Tagliatelle - Agnolotti - Panna Cotta (x2) We were blown away by how good it all was. My top two dishes of the night were the Agnolotti and the Roasted Mushroom Pizza. But everything was fantastic. I would happily get it all again. This is now my favorite pasta in Charlotte. The pizza is also great, but there are other pizza spots on par with it. I highly recommend making a reservation in the next week to take advantage of their awesome restaurant week menu, but if you don't do that, it's definitely a must try anytime. read more

I'm so grateful that I finally experienced Indaco. Their pizzas are competing for my love and affection. I think they are contenders for my top 3 pizzas in Charlotte. I was blown away by the roasted mushroom pizza. It was my favorite but the spicy sopressata was also executed very well. The one down side is Indaco gets busy the moment their doors open. As I look around the room there are only a few seats available. But I'd take that as a sign that this place is worthy of your time. Edit: I posted my review a little too early. I posted it before I had the chance to try their pasta! Which, I am pleased to say is the best pasta I think I've had in Charlotte. I've been looking for a pasta that could beat Mama Ricotta's from my favorite pasta in Charlotte and Indaco finally did it. read more
This is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Southend. After craving Italian for a while I finally planned a date night here. I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere upon entry, especially the gorgeous bar (I'm gonna have to return for a cocktail!) it is a small cozy vibe but there is a mezzanine space for some extra seating. The seating upstairs allows for some great views through the massive restaurant windows so you can do some people watching on a busy Southend evening. For my meal I had the black pepper tagliatelle. It was rich in flavor and had a great texture provided by the egg yolk. If I had one complaint it's that I wish there was more it. Overall I'd say this makes for a great date spot or just an upscale night out with friends. read more

The food here is really good. It's a more creative than your normal Italian joint. It has a fun, casual yet classy vibe. The food is pricey but fresh. If you want to dine here, make reservations. Even on weeknights, they are usually full. I ordered the Spaghetti Nero, which is a squid ink pasta with shrimp. It was delicious! the sauce is very good, the pasta tasty and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the burrata which comes with an arugula salad and crackers. The burrata was very good: soft with a melt-in -your -mouth goodness. The bucatini was also good but it was very rich and creamy. . It had bits of pork belly which gives it a nice smoky flavor. Meatballs are also good. I didn't try this but everyone who ate it loved it. For dessert, we ordered tirimisu.it was creamy and flavorful. read more

The three of us did the restaurant week at the bar so we could try everything. The apps were great but the pastas and pizza were kind of sad. They lacked texture and flavor. The honey on top of the pizza had an odd aftertaste like something on it had turned. The tagliatelle was cold dry and didn't come with the chili that it was mentioned on the menu. read more

Dear And S.,…
This place was ok! I was in the mood for some good wood fired pizza, and Indaco looked like it could fit the bill. I ended up thinking that the pizza was really just ok. The dough was pretty good but not the thinnest nor floppiest ever, and I was super disappointed to find that the mozzarella was not real mozzarella...it was the fake plastic stuff. Also, the pizza description noted a specific type of tomato that the sauce is made of but, it tasted like jarred marinara sauce to me. So, 3 stars for pizza. However, the space is very nice with large, open windows that allow you to peer out at all of the activity in the area. Also, the staff was super, super friendly (which I appreciated because I haven't had the best experiences in South End). The bar tender was very attentive and helpful. So, 5 stars for ambiance and service! I'd go back maybe for a drink or dessert. read more

Is it a quiet atmosphere?
Is the dress code simply smart casual or do I need to be in business casual? For example, are nice dark jeans and a nice blouse okay to wear? This is for a dinner.
Yes! That is an acceptable dinner outfit. It was very smart casual. I wore a sundress when I went for lunch and I saw others arrive in workout attire as well as normal everyday wear. I feel like dinner people might go a bit more dressed but again,…
Are reservations mandatory?
Hey Leslie! No, reservations are not mandatory. They accept walk-ins. I walked in and was seated within 5 minutes.
