We love that they offer pre selected pizzas like meat lovers, but even more that you can pick your size and put whatever toppings your heart desires on them. It's cheap, usually quick, and as tasty as your imagination will allow! (And it's dangerously close to home) Pro tip: add garlic and basil to your sauce!

Discovered MOD pizza this year and I am a huge fan of their salads! What I love most is their portion sizes are generous and you build your own salad with tons of topping choices. Best of all there is no cap on the amount of toppings so if you want lots of blue cheese and ham with two pieces of lettuce, go for it. It's also very QUICK! If you dont have a lot of time the ordering process is fast and your salad is made to order in front of you in just a few minutes. While you can definitely carry out your order their dining room is spacious and clean with plenty of seating. During covid they have taken extra safety precautions like distancing dining tables, consistent cleaning and enforcing a mask policy. You should download the MOD app because they frequently feature specials and they offer a loyalty program. Give this place a try the next time you are craving a salad or pizza!

I like getting a thin crust pizza any day of the week, let alone one you can customize to your liking with no extra fee. I know it's still not the absolute best, I've been to Italy and eaten many a pizza. But for being in the Deep South in America, this definitely hits a spot. This is what a pesto, mozzarella, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, artichoke, roasted pepper, onion, olive, spinach, and lastly but most importantly ROASTED GARLIC!

I love the price of their pizzas! It's hard to satisfy everyone sometimes when going out but Mods is perfect so everyone can get their own toppings I got a thing for pepperoni and jalapeños it's so good every time. Great pizza for a great price !

I had a pretty good idea how many stars I was going to give MOD with my first bite of the pizza. I got the cauliflower crust, just because I generally like the texture of it more. On a flavor stand point it was good, flavors were good, and as you can see from the photos they were not shy with the toppings. I really wish I could give them a better review. The pizza was slightly burnt. It smelled a lot more burnt than it was, and I couldn't really taste it, though I didn't eat the crust where it was blackened. The reason why I can't give them a higher score is because while eating my pizza a discovered a hair. I am the type that when I find a hair, I don't just pick it off and eat around it, it really grosses me out and I can't finish the meal. Which makes me concerned about the cleanliness. Yes accidents happen and hopefully my pizza was the only one with a hair in it. But at least for a while, I will not be returning. And just for those who are curious, it was not my hair, it was blonde and mine is black. All other points were good, I was greeted at the door, I was helped quickly, and they made sure my reason for cauliflower crust was preference rather than dietary. I was really impressed up until I found the hair

When pizza is in a business name, salad is usually the after thought, but MOD Pizza quickly became my favorite place for salads in West Ashley. My husband is on a low-carb diet, so we've been frequenting MOD lately. You can choose from a pizza or salad, with several sizes available, and we always go for the MOD sized salad. MOD provides a menu if you need ideas, but you can get as many toppings as you'd like. I like that you're not nickle-and-dimed for each individual topping, because both of us love lots of ingredients in our salads. The toppings are fresh and abundant- and they have almost everything. You can get all the pizza meats on your salad if you're into that, but the vegetables are the star of the show. There's roasted red peppers, corn, carrots, several kinds of olives, and any cheese you can think of. If you want carbs with your salad, there's an option to get it on a pizza crust too. I can't imagine some of the toppings (like asparagus) on a pizza, but if that's your thing, let your imagination go wild and go for it. The portions are large, and I usually can't finish the MOD sized salad. Thankfully, you can get a to-go container. Both my husband and I can eat for around $20 and often have leftovers, so you can't beat the price. I'm not usually one for beer or wine with my salad or pizza, but on my last visit, I realized they do have a few beers on tap as well as some cans of wine. There are a couple of dessert and side options too, which I may try someday.

Nothing ruins a kids mood more than the pizza missing the cheese... my dad lovingly brought my child home a pizza after bragging about how amazing it was and my child was very disappointed when he opened the box to find zero cheese on his pizza. It's checked off on the order paper but clearly someone was distracted. If it was me I'd get over it but my child is pretty upset because with out the cheese, the sauce is spicy. Ugh.

Why is half the salad I payed for missing????

The employees working today were extremely unorganized and unprepared for customers, even though it was 2:00 pm. Me and my friend went in and were the only ones in line. Even with being the only two people in the place (the only other few people in there were already sitting down at a table and eating), it took 15 minutes to just take our order and waited another 10 minutes for our food to be cooked. The lady making my pizza used under the normal/acceptable amount of sauce and then proceeded to use the scraps of cheese that were left in the mozzarella bin on the right. I had never been made a pizza with so little cheese on it, it almost wasn't a pizza. She didn't even bother to get more cheese from the left mozzarella bin that still had plenty of cheese in it. There were three workers and one of the three we noticed was doing absolutely nothing but walking around sipping her drink. My pizza sat on the tier shelf to be put in the oven for 4-5 minutes. (Reminder we are their only customers) I'm writing this review to bring awareness to poor customer service at this location because it felt as if the employees could not provide even the bare minimum. Is it so wrong for me to wish there is an amount of cheese on my pizza that I'm satisfied with before I pay for it. Also I quickly want to mention and show picture of the mega salad I got to go and how much it was not filled.......

Not so great of a pizza this time around but the flavor was still mod which is good.

I'll start with, I can't believe I haven't rated this place, I've been many times and surprised I have no review, something is wrong there. But anyway, my first 3 to 4 times plus an order pickup would have been 5 star. But let's fast forward to Friday nights pizza order pickup. Not a good evening for them. The pizza wasn't topped very well at all, it was mostly missing everything on several pieces, it's like the cheese was thrown on and then fell off. Not sure, but all in all this wasn't a good experience. I'd pass on the online order and go in and watch them make it, you'll be more likely to get a better topped pizza.

Quick made to order pizza. The real perk of this place is that it costs nothing to add toppings, so it would be a great place to bring kids and let them get creative. The pizzas are wood fired and the crust is crisp yet chewy. The only concerning thing to me was the salad greens were a bit wilted when I was walking through the line, so I dont know that I would order salad there...but it is a pizza place after all. The ambiance is nothing special, it is a faster food kind of place, but definitely nicer than your average fast food place for sure.

This type of fast-casual pizza is pretty new to me but I've been to MOD a few times and it's always been pretty good. They make the pie in front of you much like a sub shop would, then slide it into a (what I assume is) wood burning oven. Depending on how busy it is, you typically have your pizza within 10 minutes. Seems they use fresh ingredients and they have a ton of options. Only downside is the price. It's about $9 for a personal size. You can find larger pies elsewhere for a dollar or two more. read more

This is my second MOD pizza experience. My first at this location. I am impressed by both the food and the service. I came in hot and heavy for a to go pizza order for my son's birthday party. 5 pizzas, STAT! The staff were attentive and friendly even on a very busy Saturday lunch. The pizzas were a hit with adults and kids. I love that you can add anything, everything, and as much as you want to the pizzas. And their beer is extremely cold. The timing is perfect to drink a beer while you wait for your order. Hint hint. I highly recommend trying out MOD pizza. read more

Great concept! Unfortunately, Your Pie closed, so MOD is my new go-to. They have two sizes you can choose from and even though I never order the small size, it's definitely big enough for a lunch for one. All pizzas are one price and you can add as many ingredients as you want. Service is very nice. We love it! read more

First time ordering from a MOD pizza, won't be the last. It is a simple pie but you gotta love the price point, the ability to customize your pizza from a huge list of ingredients and it doesn't break the bank. Also love that the size of the pies let each person get their own. This location dished out a good pizza and service was excellent. read more

Don't let them fool you. This is no fast food restaurant. It takes just as long for them to cook a pizza as any normal place. Stopped in for a "Super Fast" pizza and it took about 25 minutes with a few folks in front of me in line. The pizza was good. read more

Not worth the money Salad was $8+ and micro sized with all toppings in a lump at the bottom. Gluten free options ... taste great but once again. Toppings I had requested were left off and the ones included were all dropped on one piece of the pizza. For the cost would expect Alot more. Too many options in this town to deal with poor craftsmanship read more

I have frequented the West Ashley location several times since Summer 2019 and I can provide the exact same review for each visit: Good pizza but lousy customer service. It's actually the worst I've encountered at any restaurant and that's saying something. Everyone's allowed to have an off night but this is something else. Looking over other reviews, I see Justin G. made a similar complaint, and his experience was almost identical to mine. Rude, sullen employees, no greetings or eye contact. Maybe it's just the evening staff? At any rate, the issue needs to be addressed by management because unfortunately I won't be spending money at this location again. read more

Me and my daughter were out shopping and this place was in the shopping center we were in so cane here for convenience. It smelled great when you walked in I like the idea of one price and all the toppings you want and price for pizza isn't to bad but price for salad is not worth it. We each got our own pizza and cheesy garlic bread and I got a Caesar salad, the salad was fine just small for the price. We did not like the cheesy garlic bread it's pretty much just a cheese pizza they overcooked my daughter pizza it was half burnt but I didn't care for the pizza at all. Also the pizzas were cut very oddly like they were trying to hurry to fast and chop them up. The staff seemed very unorganized so getting through the line took longer and some not dressed appropriately and the drink station where you also got to go boxes and plastic forks was dirty and messy there was hair in the forks...yuck! I will not be going back to this place read more

Pizza is delicious and can't be beat. The staff however is very vocal on how they hate being asked for additional cheese or toppings. MOD prides themselves on the best, freshest Ingredients and fast service. The price is perfect but would like to see a change in customer service. We regularly use this location along with the downtown location and the North Charleston (Ashley Phosphate) Location. Downtown has great customer service. If in a hurry, craving pizza and on a budget then try MOD. read more

I am looking at my Receipt #AAATXGB2ACDC Time stamped 6/28/2017 6:23;22 for $48.53. This is the second time I have had an issue at North Charleston. Pizza was burnt. And remade burnt even worse. Horrible attitude even when I asked someone to clean a table because they were all dirty. No straws silverware or cup lids. The first time was when my daughter in law went to this location. Tons of people inside but at 25 to 9pm the guy said they were closed. Manager left and apparently left it up to the workers to make food. I called WA. This was May 2017. I was told WA would make my family food for the inconvenience of me having to drive all the way from Goose Creek that night to get dinner. I got it uncooked because I live so far that it doesn't keep for the drive. That night I paid 50.00 for dinner. Still have not gotten meal. This receipt is again got me very upset because I called many times to inquire about them returning my money for the second visit. No one called back. I am more upset that I work accross the street from WA and I have the same name as the manager. To day I am upset is an understatement. I am stunned! read more

I checked in here for lunch because my resident was getting a hair cut next door and she told me to go browse around til she was finished. When I walked in I was greeted by the workers and they took my order, I ordered a fresh romaine salad with several toppings from Candian bacon, parmesan cheese, motzorella cheese, onions, seasoned red peppers, salami and croutons The salad tasted good and i really liked the fresh romaine lettuce as it had just the right crisp giving it a crunch.. The atomphere was very clean and not too busy. I would definitely come back to this place but nextime try the pizza. read more

This is a great pizza place. I love the concept and they executed it flawlessly! It is like Moe's, or Subway where you choose toppings as you go along. I got a Mod size as did my boyfriend. I did mine from scratch he built on a selection from the menu. They had a ton of toppings to choose from so at first you might be a bit intimidated but just think of something you normally order and you'll be fine ;) I did red sauce, mozzarella, Canadian bacon, grilled chicken, roasted garlic, spinach, artichoke hearts, salt & pepper, rosemary, and oregano. It was absolutely divine! The crust was super crispy. The cheese was just everywhere it was a beautiful mess as I was eating it! The sauce was great and the toppings worked splendidly. I was more than impressed with how good it was! My boyfriend got BBQ sauce, mozzarella, gorganzola, chicken, bacon, jalapeños, red onions and then another drizzle of BBQ sauce on top. It was very good too but he liked mine better! I really liked their Marion Blackberry lemonade. It was real lemons, cane sugar, water and fruit puree. That's all nothing crazy and nothing artificial. I love how they are subtly making their restaurant ecofriendly. The pizza is served on a ceramic plates with waxed paper, the to go box is cardboard (normal not that special I know), the cups are that plant based recyclable and compostable plastic, and get this the straws are compostable! I love that! Every single fast food place should be making steps like this. They just need to offer a compost bin for food scraps and the compostable cups now! I will be coming back frequently. I recommend it to anyone who has a picky eater or just has different tastes than the other people they're with. Anyone would be happy with this option! read more

My family loves MOD pizza. Unlimited toppings, everyone gets to choose what they want and it's reasonably priced. Staff is always friendly and makes us feel welcome. Never had a bad meal or bad service here. Only wish there was one closer to me. It's a fave in our house! read more

My previous review was shortly after they had first opened up. Since then they have really perfected their process and I really like what they have going on here. Their pizza and salad options are great. I have not had their milkshakes but they look like something i really want to try. This place is always full at lunch time but their turnaround time is fast and the pizzas are made quickly. The staff is always friendly and fast. Always a great lunch spot. read more

We always are treated great by the staff. Never attitude problems. The pizza is a favorite spot of ours when we need relatively healthy, quick and not super pricey. To me, it's quicker than a sit down waiter type place but others differ. You just walk through saying what you want- like Chipotle- then they bake it in the oven right there. I don't know how it could get faster than that for fresh ingredients made to order. It's also clean. I like seeing my food prepared as I have worked in too many restaurants to know how nasty back of the house workers can be. I really appreciate that fresh vegetables are an option. read more

The pizza was good. I got regular sauce and cheese , then added bacon and feta. I would recommend not to get a small unless you are a kid. The mod size is good for adults and may give you leftovers. I wish they had an option of adding avocados on your pizza. I was disappointed about that. The service was nice. read more

MOD is one of my family's favorite places to visit each week! We've gotten to know the staff and they are A+. The only thing I would suggest adding to the toppings bar is roasted beets (one of my favorite toppings on a salad and would be delicious on a pizza too!). Normally I enjoy this pizza shop but tonight we decided to have a nice quick dinner here, well it wasn't a nice dinner. We walked in around 6pm, we were not greeted(there was no one in line before us). The order taker lady was very unfriendly and did not understand my dairy allergy that I have. She decided to roll her eyes when I told her that I had a dairy allergy. Then, she took a good few minutes to change her gloves as she had a frown on her face the entire time. She went on to ask me if I needed the Cauliflower crust to which I instructed no because the normal crust is dairy free. Furthermore, no employee had it's hair pulled up and out of the face, like in a food business should, furthermore we found a hair in our pizza. This was a gross and unsanitary discovery. No one behind the counter was nice and enjoyable to order from. We may not be returning for a good while after this visit. The pizza's were good and cooked speedy, that was the best part of the experience. read more

I got the Chicken Shawarma Platter since that's what I saw mentioned the most in reviews. The chicken with dry, the "garlic sauce" was basically mayo, the rice was also dry and wasn't necessarily a flavor I would pick. There was one dolmas (even though the menu says 2), and it was good (to be fair, I didn't say anything about it). I imagine their greek salad would be good because the small side salad on the plate was good. For $16 though, it was pretty disappointing. When I think platter, I think more like sharing size, but this was pretty comparable to most places one person meal. I didn't finish it, but mostly because it was really dry and didn't taste great. We also got fried pickles (okay, but pretty greasy and they could really use some kind of dipping sauce), the hubs got the Ribeye Philly, he said it needed some kind of sauce and that he didn't feel the need to come back, so... nothing noteworthy. The kids got chicken fingers and fries. They polished off the fries (they were good!) but left most of the chicken fingers, I didn't try them, so... and lastly, the ambiance... if I had to pick between here and somewhere like Kairos, I'd pick Kairos... it's cleaner, they have music going, and my kids like to watch the videos of people making the kairos food. Med Diner has no music, the vibe is a bit weird (like someone cut out the middle back of all the chairs with like a saw or something), it feels a little thrown together and sad. I saw a handful of people go through the drive through while we were there, so maybe there's just something else they are better known for and we hit an off day. Just not my vibe.

Mod pizza, is a pretty good spot for a quick little meal. However, when I went up to order the staff were nice, but the line was very dirty. Cheese and pickled onions were scattered about. There didn't seem to be much management in this place. Drink station looked like a tornado went through it, and looked liked it hadn't been cleaned In ages. All of the trash cans we're literally overflowing. Tables were not clean, but finally found one that was not as dirty but was sticky and had crumbs. We went to MOD again on a Friday night, and this time the experience was great. The place was busy, but the ordering process went smoothly (less than five minutes from line to the check out). The pizzas were good, and crispy enough considering it is a franchise.
