This is West Ashley's only Wendy's, and I wish it was better. On my last visit, a sign on the door let us know that the credit card reader was down. Nobody carries much cash anymore so I wasn't surprised that the restaurant was really slow. Thankfully, I only wanted a frosty. I placed my order, and the clerk told me they didn't have chocolate frosty, only vanilla. I'm not sure if the machine was broken or they just don't offer it anymore when there's a limited-time-only vanilla frosty. I asked the clerk to make me a vanilla frosty and just add the chocolate syrup to it, and she did. It isn't the same. I will frequent the Wendy's near the airport from now on. Finally tried the Wednesday meal and it was great! At first glance you think well it's just chicken nuggets and fries but let me tell you the black cherry frosty is EVERYTHING! That is the best frosty I've ever had. The meal also comes with a mystery sauce that tasted like the sauce that's on sweet and sour chicken at any local Chinese restaurant but it compliments the nuggets and fries beautifully. read more

Food was cold Cheese on the fries was not melted. It was the shredded cheese type. Asked for it to be warmed up to which they replied they couldn't. Kids meal cheese cup was old looking and cold. I probably should have given this one star but the staff is so friendly that I couldn't condone only giving them one. Having to wait an hour for food is what constitutes such a low rating from me... When you order ahead and arrive there without the lobby being open you can't really control how long it's going to take but if you just drive there and see the line out to the street know that it'll take about an hour to get through. I'm doing that long one would expect the order to be correct however that wasn't the case. They put ice in the drink however they rectified it by giving us the drink they had messed up as well as another because they didn't want to waste it and I applaud that :-) however I ordered my burger without a bun due to a gluten intolerance and today did not adhere to the order us place. It seems as if all other members of my parties order was correct though so that's a plus! I have to give them five stars now. We go every few weeks for dinner on Friday's and the staff is always friendly and our order is always correct. I order most of what I need on the app but can't order the cheese sauce so I always place that order in person and the people that work the register and just so nice. The food is always hot when I get home and, even though I check, because, of course, it has been correct every time. It has gotten quite expensive but that is not the fault of the staff. Not my favorite location. I went here after work last tonight to grab something quick before a meeting and the drive through line was around the building. I decided instead to go inside thinking it would be faster. I was wrong. They had one person at the register despite there being a line. She was also the person packaging all the meals. I can understand her doing that if they are slow, but during a rush time, they need more people there to help out. The food was good, but I was saddened by my drink. They have one of those machines where you can add flavors to the drinks, but all the flavors were out. I don't go there enough to know if it's a regular thing or not, but hopefully they have someone check when it's out and refill it. They are very efficient and quick about getting everything ready and right even when it is a larger order. They have really good customer service here and work hard to get you your food. Please don't give too much thought about bad reviews. I only review when someplace really impresses me or is straight up terrible. My husband always sends me and the kid to McDonald's. Well I hate McDonald's. I'll find any excuse to avoid it but I usually have to go. I am so glad that the McD's on Savannah hwy & 526 was so broken I left... the kiosk was broken and the people at the counter said I had to order at the kiosk. Um wtf you're standing at the counter telling people you won't take their order..Ok. The drive through wait was like being sucked slowly into a black hole. But my kid didn't want to go anywhere else so I told her we'd go to the other store. On the way, I stopped at Wendy's instead. First time in ten years. He always wants to eat inside so that's what we did. Ordered three double stacks, large fries, large chili, kids meal, kids frosty for around $20. I can't get half the food for that amount at McD's. The comparison of quality at this Wendy's vs said clown show is like human food vs canned Alpo dog food. The atmosphere was a fast food restaurant. None of the chairs were pushed in which is a lawsuit in waiting but whatever it takes no effort to sit down and scoot in. The frosty was just like I remembered as a kid. My child said he wanted to go to this Wendy's every day and never wants McDonald's again. The cashier immediately greeting me and taking my order on the spot shocked me, I am so used to waiting for service. Food service was painfully, agonizingly slow, but the trade off is we got real, fresh food made when we ordered it...just like everyone else's during a rush. Not fast food! I have always preferred Wendy's over other fast food burgers so I have been to many different drivethru locations in and out of South Carolina. Sad to say that the West Ashley location is the worse. It does not matter what day of the week, or what time of the day, but you always have to wait in the drivethru for the longest time, even when there is only one car ahead of you it still takes them 25 minutes to take the order and then another 15 minutes at the pick up window to get the order. Either hire more staff, or better yet, train your staff! Many times I have seen customers get out of line and drive away becuase of the inability to properly manage this location. I understand that the staff do not make a great salary, and people have bad days, but there is no excuse for the staff to consistantly make you feel like they are doing you a huge favor and have the worst customer service skills. I even had one pick up window staff member use profanity directly towards me with the worst dirty look because I had to give back the order she had just handed me that was someone else's. Twice the staff behind the microphone have said to me "what do you want lady"....that was it, five words. I've given them too many chances as I try to give the benefit of the doubt. From now on I'll drive out of my way for my Wendy's fix. Fast food is supposed to be fast food. read more

I stopped here because I was on my way from work to a Christmas show, and needed some food so that I wouldn't pass out while recording my kids on stage ... This location has a lot of bad reviews, and I'm not saying that it deserves a 4 or 5 star yet, but my order was done correctly, the person who took my payment actually made eye contact, greeted me with a smile, and again made eye contact when my food was handed over to me (I was in the drive-through). The food itself is what you'd expect from Wendy's, although I wish the fries were a little saltier, but the service at the window is what I was most satisfied with because rarely do you get eye contact or any kind of friendly personality in drive through. read more

This is the worst example of fast food I have ever seen. We have been in the line, which is reaching the street, for over 20 minutes. Cars are now giving up hope and driving away. Also, why is the inside still closed?? We can go literally anywhere in SC normally now post covid, yet we can't go inside a Wendy's?!
