    Honey BBQ wings
    Justin M.

I was born in upstate NY with plenty of Italian family in NYC. Many of my fondest memories are going to their restaurants and eating homemade deli meats, subs and pizzas. I guess you could say I'm a typical American in that I love pizza but I love GOOD pizza and different styles. With so many options out there, not many people serve the best of all types; NY, Chicago Deep Dish, Detroit, thin crust and the list goes on but most know about those styles. With that said, Detroit is the style that best suites my taste buds lately and I've yet to have a place in SC who matches Jet's Detroit-style. Located in a safe and easily accessible area of town, Jets has a decent sized menu with a clean restaurant and fast service. To be honest I've kept my two visits to Jet's simple as I'm trying to eat responsibly and limit my calories (as if eating pizza is a good idea for a diet). So, I'll start off with the only thing that I ate which isn't pizza, wings. To be honest, the wings are small, not fried very long and the sauce is ok. The only reason I order them is because I'd like a couple to nibble on. Also please note their sauce selection is limited. As for the rest of the menu, I encourage you to give it a "looksy." If you're from New York like Raphael of the Turtles then Detroit style pizza maybe a mystery to you. Detroit style originates from the 1940s by a man who used thick square steel pans to create the pizza. The result is a super crunchy and oily crust which is unlike any other style. While Leonardo loves NY style which has a wide and thin crust that can be folded (also the NY water makes a huge difference) or Michelangelo's favorite which is a normal crust that most pizza places serve, I have found Detroit style is my favorite. My order consists of sausage, tomato, mushroom, olives and onions. This creation is very satisfying, but I would like the marinara on TOP as per tradition as it keeps the dough a little more firm. Still, it's the best I've had in town. Jet's is known for pizza and I would keep my order limited to pizza style food while only ordering wings if you have that itch. While they improvise a bit on their style, it's darn good. Stop on by for the great pie!

Simply put, the nectar of the gods. We love Jets and hate there isn't one in Columbia. Anytime we go to Charleston our trip is capped with a Jets run. The pizza always delicious, the service is great and the ambiance carries the standard the franchise expects. You don't know pizza until you know Detroit style deep dish.

Still great Detroit style pizza!! So consistent and delicious! We always get the best service with courtesy and quick acknowledgment when we enter the shop!

Y'all! Stop everything right now and GO to Jet's Pizza... NOW! I don't care where you are or how far you have to drive. This. Pizza. Is. DELISH! It is ONLY Pick Up or Delivery so they can focus on the quality of food. The store is clean and the staff are friendly. They pay careful attention to Notes and Allergies. EVEN CELIAC/Gluten-Intollerance. You can get a half-and-half pizza with a different base and toppings on each side and they only charge you for the number of toppings, not the type. This pizza is a deeper dish than a tradition and has a nice light crisp to the edges with a soft inner crust. We tried the Gluten-Free Half Pepperoni & Bacon with the traditional red pizza sauce and Half Chicken & Bacon with ranch sauce for the base. The chicken was large, plump, and juicy. The bacon was perfectly crisp and the pepperoni was also nice with a slight crisp around the edges. You can choose to have a light back or hard bake, we opted for Regular and that's how ours turned out. I'm drooling just thinking about it and wish that I lived closer to this location... It's about 45 minutes to an hour and a half away with rush hour traffic. Can't wait to return.

Really enjoyed the selection of pizza's available at a work going away party. I settled with these two speciality slices, and I really enjoyed them. I for sure want to give Jets another shot for a fresh slice.

Dis the best pizza in the metro. I am telling you guys! Right off D road. 4 corner pizza and chocolate chip cookies always hit the spot.

Jet's doesn't get enough love because everyone seems to want the thin flappy New York style pizza. I prefer a thick, Sicilian style pizza and Jet's does not disappoint. Good prices, good pizza, tasty all around.

Aloha BBQ Chicken is saucy and delicious. I'll add jalapeños next time.

Just discovered this place, and am thrilled to have a different kind of pizza available. The 4 Corners Aloha BBQ Chicken was super-saucy and delicious! Next time I'll add jalapeños. The 8-slice Super Special was loaded with toppings but still a little dry. I think I'd get extra sauce, which is an option for a reason. For those who recall Sharky's Pizza, the Jet's Boat is the closest thing to a Sharky's Fin as you're gonna get. The marinara dipping sauce was very good. I hope it reheats well, because there's a lot of it! Love this Detroit-style wonder!

LOVE this place. We ordered a Detroit style pizza and it was so good -- the perfect amount of Crispo was. The sauce is delicious as well; it doesn't taste like the jarred stuff that a lot of places get away with using.

This used to be one of my favorite pizza places... until today. I have never been so disgusted in my life. There was a roach that was baked into my pizza. I need to contact a health inspector. I loved this place. Damn it!!!

Best chain pizza you've ever had. Really. As native Michiganders (now Lowcountry residents), we're VERY familiar with Jet's. We live 20 minutes away (downtown), but have heard legend that there was ONE secret Jet's hidden off Dorchester Road. On our way to a Yelp event pick up, we swung by Jet's on the way back. You know, just to see. Next to Buddy's, Jet's is the second best Detroit style pizza we've ever had. Yes, it's a chain. Yes, pizzas cost $32 now. Yes, you need to get over it. As for the pizza itself, Jet's checks every box. Garlic, cheese, sauce, gooey/greasiness, and (of course) the crunch. MADDÓN, that crunch. It's the stuff all pizza dreams are made of. Pizza dreams are also a majority of my regular dreams. We're unsure why the handful of local Detroit style pizza places (we've tried them all) can't seem to get it right with the correct garlic, density, and crunch. The North Chuck Jet's is quick, friendly, and prideful. They crank out both quantity/volume AND quality. The manager made sure that we were satisfied before we left. Jet's thrives because of it's consistency, admiration for Detroit style pizza, and Michigan's blue collar work ethic.

I had a strong craving for deep dish pizza, and Jet Pizza was the only place that came to mind. I'm so glad I chose to go there! The pizza was absolutely delicious! We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the Aloha bbq chicken with red onion pizza, and both were fantastic choices!

Does your thin crust contain milk or eggs? I am vegan looking for a good vegan, veggie pizza

Hi Donna! The thin crust does not contain any eggs or milk so you’re good to order that veggie pizza! We do not have any vegan cheese though so be sure to order it without cheese. I’d also ask for it to be lightly done as a thin crust without cheese…

Pistachio Pesto & Pork Trifecta -- A Standout Pie Outside New York…read moreThis place serves some of the best pizza I've had outside of New York, with a wood-fired crust that's perfectly charred and chewy. The service was exceptional--friendly, professional, and genuinely warm, the kind that makes you feel like you're eating in your nonna's kitchen. Pistachio Pesto The Pistachio Pesto pie is a masterclass in balance and richness. Split Creek Farms fromage blanc lends a bright, tangy creaminess that keeps the base from feeling heavy, while house-made pistachio pesto and ground pistachio bring a nutty depth and subtle earthiness. Crème fraîche adds lush texture, and the duo of mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano provides the ideal stretch and savory finish. It's indulgent without being cloying, with the pistachio's natural sweetness playing beautifully against the salty, umami notes of the cheeses. Pork Trifecta The Pork Trifecta is a bold, satisfying choice for anyone who loves deep, meaty flavors. A bright red sauce anchors the toppings, while house-made sausage, pepperoni, and Palmetto Provisions bacon layer smokiness, spice, and salinity. Mozzarella melts into a silky blanket, and Parmigiano-Reggiano sharpens every bite. The result is a hearty, well-structured pie where no single element overwhelms--just a fabulous combination of ingredients that sings. Final Thoughts Between the wood-fired execution, top-tier ingredients, and genuinely welcoming service, this spot delivers a memorable experience. The Pistachio Pesto and Pork Trifecta are both must-tries, and the overall vibe makes it easy to see why this place leaves a lasting impression. Amazing--and I won't forget how wonderful this meal was

Watching our pizza go into the real wood-fired oven made me regret every year I spent not eating at…read moreEVO. We didn't necessarily come in chasing the local-favorite pistachio pesto pizza, but unfortunately for our future cravings, there is a reason people talk about it. That pizza was ridiculous in the best way. The crust, which is AMAZING, had those blistered, chewy edges that make you immediately respect the dough, and the pistachio pesto was rich, nutty, and glossy without turning the whole thing into a heavy cheese situation. Every slice felt like it had a little extra personality. We sat where we could see the pizza being made, which is both charming and mildly torturous when you're hungry. Dough, toppings, oven, waiting. A tiny drama in four acts. The wood-fired oven was doing the kind of work that made me wonder why we waited years to show up. The place itself feels like a real neighborhood pizza spot: worn wood tables, red and golden walls, local art, chalkboard beer list, and enough character that even the bathroom wanted to be part of the review. I'm honestly sad we waited this long. EVO has clearly been over here doing its thing, and we were just late to the party.

BRING A TAPE MEASURE!!!…read more I've never been anywhere that serves a larger slice than Benny R. does. And it's soooo yummy. The crust has just the right amount of chew--enough to give it character without feeling doughy. The cheese is impressively balanced and not overly greasy. I have a little ritual I call the "dab test" to see how much excess oil ends up on the slice. At some pizza places, it takes three or more napkins. Here, there was barely anything to blot. The sauce is excellent. I've had pizza where the garlic dominates every bite, but Benny R.'s strikes a great balance. Every ingredient complements the others, creating a flavorful sauce that enhances the pizza rather than competing with it. Pizza, 5:5. As for the atmosphere, it has exactly the kind of charm you'd hope for in a neighborhood pizza shop. It's casual, welcoming, and comfortable without trying to be overly polished. If you make your way to the back, you'll find a fun surprise. There's a bar, games, and a few other touches that make it a great place to hang out beyond just grabbing a slice. Ambience, 5:5 I really enjoyed the service. John took great care of me. He was friendly, courteous, attentive, conversational without being intrusive, and efficient. It's hard to ask for much more than that. Service, 5:5

I ordered the special of the day, the bacon cheeseburger. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it was a little extra crispy and honestly, I really appreciated it. Often, it's soft/floppy, but that extra crunch was nice! I also enjoy the interesting variety of soda options - I chose a blueberry, which was interesting. The person running the counter was nice & friendly - they ended up getting slammed/busy after we got our order, but she was working her butt off to take care of everyone. The space looks very small up front, but it extends to the tap room in the back, which we didn't get a chance to check out on this visit. I would stop back in for another slice if in the area.
