Reading my last review from over 11 years ago, this place is still the same. Though I don't go…read morethere as often as before, food continues to be consistently good. Nothing's changed, still an eyesore with ripped swivel stool seats, nobody wiping tables that dirty customers leave, and garbage cans often overflowing. But I'm upping my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Why? Because they are one of the few remaining places that don't ask for a tip (via screen or signed receipt) when paying by credit card for carry-out orders. This wasn't an issue 11 years ago, but it disgusts me today. I've even cut down going to places like that, quite significantly. But I do wish Doggie Diner would take better care of the inside (and remove the HUGE sign that reads that they will be reducing the size of their menu in August, 2021). Ambiance still isn't checked above, as are food and service (gotta wonder why "eyesore" didn't trigger that?--c'mon Yelp). But it's checked now though, lol.

They kiosks were a new thing for us, and many people with us. While we figured it out and waited for our orders I could see that the staff was understaffed for the crowd that came in. Not their fault. They were pleasant if not a bit overwhelmed. A strong recommendation I would give is for the manager to find out when the Junior High concerts (and the grade school concerts that are held there as well) are so they can possibly staff more for the expected crowd. In general the restaurant was clean and updated. I visit this location often in the drive thru and most of the time I have had pleasant interactions with the staff.

I was at this location once before and they did not give me my full order. I will not tolerate rudeness when spending my money. I will never be back to this location even though it is 1 minute from my office. People should be treated better.
