As far as the food it was great. Mod pizza is my favorite pizza place and the topic selection is great. This location they were friendly but a little bit... weird. The lady making the pizzas was a on the skittish side and carried on a phone call while making our pizzas. As a mom myself, I get it and while it was weird it wasn't a big deal. I do appreciate that when we informed the person making the pizzas of my daughter's allergies she was helpful, changed gloves and was cautious of contamination. Now the ambience? It felt like we were late diners and they were closing with the trash bins turned over, chairs stacked up like they were about to lock up. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and had a yummy 6" MOD mini pizza. Perfect size and customized toppings to whatever you want. The old fashioned Lemonade is as a hit as well. Only 2 people working so there can be a slight delay. But nice and fresh. Plenty of tables inside and you have Chipotle and Tropical Smoothie on each side for other tastes in your group. read more

I wait for about 10 minuet behind the lady in front of me because the girl who was on the line was ignoring the walk in customers who were waiting while she made back to back online orders. When it was finally my turn I was met with a very rude person who gave me multiple dirty looks and made me very unwelcome to even order! Every time I come to this location there are always new employees and they are so rude or have no training/guidance! Great place, and staff was super friendly. They have tons of ingredients you can choose from to customize your pizza to your taste buds. I tried the pepperoni, pineapple, and roasted red bell peppers. The pizza was great, and wanted to try something new, and not as ordinary. A Kid had gluten allergy so decided to eat here. If you are expecting something a bit more than frozen one, and ok to pay more than $10 for each(for GF crust +$3), then good place to eat. Somewhat clean. Servers were nice. Gf pizza came out good. Kid liked it. I topped my regular pizza(11inches)with chicken, mushrooms, and spinach. Tasted ok. I liked the crunchy crust. This was my first time visiting MOD pizza and was pleasantly surprised with how patient and friendly the staff is here! I've only been to a similar fast casual chain, Blaze pizza, and it's very comparable! Similar to Blaze Pizza (and even chipotle), you can pick your toppings without additional charge. My bf ordered the regular/standard sized pizza and loaded it up with pretty much everything was available. The girl that helped us was so kind and just kept loading up that pizza without any eye rolls (that came from me! haha). I bet his pizza came out to be at least 3 pounds! I ordered the mini pizza because I wasn't that hungry at the time. The pizza here is really good. The best I've had as far as using one of those quick cooking fire ovens. I've been to other Mod locations before, but this one was a bit different. When I walked in, there were like 10 people behind the counter. All doing their individual jobs (younger kids, mostly). Every single one of them by the ingredients section where you'd be making your pizza yelled out "Hi"... when I walked in lol I think it's one of those things that's neglected in the quick serve food business. The energy is always like "what kinda food do you want" everywhere, but whoever is managing the Mod here is doing a great job. Great people. Great pizza. Saw quite a few families with their kids here. Good spot to stop in for a pizza to go, or if you have kids to bring them in for some quick/fresh pizza. read more

What a cool little place, so happy to have another fast casual restaurant in Bolingbrook. At MOD you can choose to have a salad or pizza made. They have suggestions of a few pizzas that you can make, otherwise you can choose any ingredient you want. The ingredients all looked very fresh and there was an excellent variety. The staff seemed to be a well-oiled-wheel, especially for this place still being very new. Our pizza was absolutely delicious and came out very quickly. We did not try them but they also have some specialty lemonade and tea that looked really good. I believe they had a few beers on draft to enjoy as well. Just went to MOD for the first time! After having been to Blaze Pizza (similar concept) a few times, I can say MOD is better for sure. Very clean with friendly staff, and of course fast as well! The cashier actually asked to see my ID when I have my credit card, which never happens anywhere. Lol.. I thought it made it seem like they care! Pizza was great as well. Love this place! For a few reasons. When I first walked in, the line was so long! But it took no more than 10 minutes from the time I walked in, to the time I walked out. Which is pretty fantastic and shows how efficient the staff is. Upon ordering, "Cat," is her name... was AMAZING. Yes she made my pizza for me, BUT; she shouted out uplifting things to a few of the people working. I thought it was really great whether she's a manager or not.... it's just nice to see people uplifting their coworkers. It's nice to go to a clean, organized, well run facility like Mod Pizza. Don't usually come to this location so kind of surprised how dirty it is. Every table is dirty. It's not at all busy. 3 other people besides me. We tried this place, having eaten LOTS of times at the Naperville location. We tend to get the same things, so at least for the pizza we ordered we can compare. It seemed that the pies could have stayed in the oven a minute or two longer. They were barely browned and pretty sure compared to the other location. Also, very cold inside. The quality of the food is fine, the time and quality of their help leave me not wanting to return. We walked in behind a group of 7 at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon. It took at least 15 minutes go get through the line. Once we got up to the window I made it simple salad of the day and a menu pizza, they asked me at least six more times before they told me that they were out of the roasted tomatoes on the salad of the day, "they weren't ready yet", since I didn't really understand what that meant I asked the gal if they would be ready soon, she was exhausted that she had to check.. all in all not a good experience. So, tried the new MOD last night. Placed my order online to be ready at 7:00. I got there and had to wait exactly 20 minutes to get my order; did not get my order until 7:20. I literally watched people walk in, place their orders, pay, and get their pizzas the before me- while I stood there waiting. Since they are supposed to be "superfast", I was highly annoyed. I did receive a free pizza coupon and an apology for the wait. So, I get home and open the boxes- the pizzas looked terrible. If you've ever read the "none pizza left beef" viral story- this is EXACTLY how my pizzas looked. But *exaggerated long huffy sigh* somehow, the pizza still tasted delicious. Not sure how that was possible since 75% of the cheese all slid onto one slice. So. I guess I'll give them another try. But they'd better shape up. read more

My first 2 experiences with Mod. My daughter told me that Mod had a vegan (non-dairy cheese option)...Yay! So I went to the Bolingbrook Weber location. The cheesy bread was good but they gave me these little communion cups of sauce which wasn't enough. So I went to this location on Janes Ave. lastnight 6/5/21. I got the late night munchies & they are open until 11...Great! I placed an order at 10:25 and was advised my order would be ready for pick up in 21 minutes. I ordered 3 NON-dairy cheesy garlic breads & a family sized Caesar salad - which costs $13. When I get there 21 minutes later, my food was just being prepared...not cooking...prepared. There was a young lady with the dough in front of her who was just putting the toppings on. Then I saw the $6 Caesar salad that they are selling for $13. I said I couldnt take the salad at that price. She understood. Anyway...I waited an additional 15 minutes, drove home, and dug in. A few sticks in, it dawns on me that Im eating REAL DAIRY FREAKIN CHEESE! I hate food service. So far in the last month I've been given chicken on a salad that was requested without chicken courtesy of the Patio. I've been given a beef burger instead of Impossible -courtesy of Burger King. And now this! I think I'll just cook. Incomompetency seems to be huge in the food market. Welp! Cheated again. Paid for something I never asked for. By the way...the guy who took my order repeated back to me that I wanted Non-Dairy cheese. And I left a $7 tip for this sht! Never Again!! read more
