My next pizza quest - revisiting all the great places I haven't been to in decades - started with takeout at this clean little establishment. I stopped going to Nancy's when the Elmhurst location closed, and didn't quite remember their thin crust pizza being this amazing. Perfectly spiced sauce and sausage on a crispy crust, great ratio of quality ingredients, plus a size small enough for one person at a great price, all proving that you CAN go home again! read more

Ordered online for pick up. My spouse arrived at the scheduled pick up time but the pizza was given to somebody else. They had my spouse sit there for 30 minutes while they remade it and then offered zero compensation. Poor service continues to be a problem at this location and it has failed to improve in the 6 years we've lived in the neighborhood. Officially ending our relationship with this pizza joint. Update: they sent my spouse with the wrong pizza, which was also undercooked and unsafe to eat. I called and was denied delivery of my pizza that apparently had been sitting there the whole time and was informed that my husband should have checked the order. Even though they clearly just don't know how to read. So it's not their responsibility. Awesome. read more

Three strikes, you're out. The first issue was ordered Pizza and loaded tots and got our pizza and 2 slices of garlic bread. Second was uncooked chicken. This last pizza was so runny and not stuffed that I couldn't even finish cutting it because the cheese spilled out. We love the pizza but the issues have caused us to say goodbye. read more

We have ordered Nancy's Pizza consistently for over 30 years. We order from the Woodridge location once every week to 10 days. The delivery guy knows us well and chitchats about travel and life with every delivery. Tonight we received a horrible, inedible pizza. It was burnt, dried out and had cardboard crust. I spoke with Bobby, the manager and even sent him a photo of the pizza. He repeatedly said said the pizza was fine. Look at the photos and decide for yourself. I guess Nancy's doesn't understand the value of a lifetime customer. Maybe Namcy's should train your employees in customer service. You lost an avid fan and loyal customer tonight....And hopefully many more once people read this review. read more

This place has really gone downhill as far as the quality of their pizza. My husband still loves their stuffed pizza and tries to get it about once every couple months. But for me I'm not a stuffed pizza person So I've always gotten there ultra thin crust pizzas. In the past they've been excellent and the best pizza in this area next to Pappas Pizza. However in the past year or so they're ultrathin crust is no longer ultra thin and in my opinion not even thin. I've been ordering this over the past year and a half hoping it would get better and be like it used to but it is not. It has not changed in fact this last time I asked the guy if I could get it super ultra thin and explained that it just hasn't been thin enough lately for me. The guy taking the order entered the order in correctly as you'll see from the picture of the receipt however the person making the pizza just seemed to do whatever he wanted to do in fact this is not even thin crust to me at all let alone super ultra thin. I told my husband I'm done I am not getting their thin pizza ever again since they don't seem to understand what ultrathin is. Even the cheese just doesn't taste like it used to it doesn't have the same awesome taste that it used to have. So from now on when I want thin pizza I'll go back to Papas consistently since they're the only one in the area that actually cares about making an order the way a person orders it. It's annoying enough their prices have gone up and skyrocketed the way they have but we understand if we want the convenience of eating out we're going to pay for it but if you're going to increase the prices then we expect to have an order prepared the way we ask and paid good money for it and since this place can't seem to do it or want to do it I am done. Had my first Nancy's Pizza in a while tonight and it was outstanding! Nice stretch to the cheese when I took the first piece. The sauce has a great flavor, the sausage was excellent and the crust was perfect! The staff were great, very friendly! I highly recommend Nancy's Pizza! read more

It was my first time ordering here. I almost feel bad giving one star because there was some positives such as friendly delivery, and pretty good crust. What causes my one star review is the fact that I ordered a pizza that literally says 2 1/2" on the menu, and it was a far cry from there, unless you are just talking about the crust. The crust was about that thick (at the edges), but the pizza itself measured up to just over 1", making it less then half of what it should have been, and there's no excuse for that. You can see in my (terrible quality) photo how far below the crust the pizza is. Anyway, the sauce was ok, the crust was pretty good, and sadly I could barely taste any cheese since the crust and sauce were far more plentiful. Edit: I contacted Nancy's about the issue and they take issues seriously so it's getting a bump up to two stars for now. I will try them again in the future and see if it can't bump them up even more. read more

Called and asked a simple question regarding ingredients to make sure that there were none of the allergens that my daughter can't have (eggs and tree nuts) and neither the person on the phone nor the manager had any idea what's in the pizza and could not even recommend where to find this information. In a society where this lack of info can mean life or death, I'm very disappointed in their cavalier attitude regarding food allergies. Guess we'll order from Pizza Italiano or Al's. read more

Wow! Grew up in Oak Lawn and always loved Nancy's. I have not had their pizza in decades and we found this location and thought let's try it. Absolutely delicious!! The cheese and sauce are perfect. And it heats up beautifully because remember this is Nancy's- it is a very filling piece of pizza pie so you get dinner and lunch the next day. We will be back! read more

Don't try this place. We were told one price on the phone and when my husband went to pick up pizza, was told it was $8 higher. He sat and waited for the pizza for 30 minutes and come to find out it's been in the warmer the entire time. We will not be frequenting this place again. Ordered dinner for family. They did great respecting request to ring bell and leave food at the door. Sadly this was the high light of our dinner. Appetizer was ice cold. Our sandwiches were lukewarm. Pizza also was cold to touch. Really hard ordering out these days and when we do to have an experience like this was really disappointing. I'm not sure why all the bad reviews, this pizza is Damntastic! I used to live the city and frequently ordered the best: Pizanos, Pequods, ORD, Lous and Art of Pizza. The thin crust here is really comparable and I'm not even a thin crust fan! I prefer Pan style but will keep ordering Thin Crust here because its easier on my wife and two kids! We also ordered a Mediterranean salad which was delicious and paired well with the pizza. I placed a pick-up order because its only a mile away. Very good pizza & service here,so much so that I'm now a Happy regular customer and they are my only Pizza place.. :) I was a regular Westmont Nancy's pizza customer for years,even as it went through many owners, as I lived right by them,until they suddenly closed for good.(Let's be honest here,Jonathan's Westmont store really had a lot of problems,but I put up with them) This Woodridge location is farther for me,but very,very good,and leaps & bounds above the old Westmont location on so many levels.The staff are really nice and the food is excellent,and I swear is made & cooked better.Never a bad experience at all.I really like these guys. My wife, being from the area, has always wondered how Nancy's Pizza was compared to our college fare of Giordanos and adult enjoyment of Lou's. Unfortunately, from the star rating, it's pretty obvious how it fared... Call me confused.. Yelpers here seem to focus on deep dish pizza being the best they have to offer. Have they never experienced what deep dish pizza really is about? We got a 1.5 inch thick small (9 inch) deep dish with cheese only. Figured the crust and structure of the pizza should shine on it's own. We were disappointed to find that this was nothing but slightly toasted bread with a thick layer of cheese on it, and then some seasonings (which added nice flavor). There was no crust/crispness to edges, no structure but soft doughy bread throughout the "crust". Is this really what Nancy's serves up as deep dish, or did we get a fluke? We also ordered up a super thin crust pizza, small, as we're big thin crust fans. This was reasonable, with fresh toppings. While the edges had the crisp we expect of thin crust (in this case, SUPER thin crust), the middle was floppy/soggy and didn't hold up to what we'd expect of tavern thin crust style pizza. Verdict: I'm surprised that Yelpers believe that this is good deep dish... so I must have gotten a bad batch. If so, let me know! But for all you Yelpers who say this is one of the best deep dish pizzas, you need to do yourself a favor and try Giordanos or Lou Malnati's... the pizza we had really brings shame to the reputation of Chicago deep dish... read more

Something fell apart here last night sadly. I had always been a fan of their ultra thin crust with bacon for years. It was a Friday and first game of Cubs playoffs. Manager called me a THIEF! After THEY neglected to add the 2-liter I requested to my bill, and hours after I got home and enjoyed my pizza, a manager named Jeremy called my cell phone to see if I planned on paying for the soda I STOLE. After 5 years of getting pizza from only this location, I was astounded by this aggressive and belligerent accusation. It's not bad enough their pizzas cost $30, and that they up-charge for sauces... now I have to get called a thief over a $3 drink?! If these employees treat customers like this to their faces, just imagine what they are doing to your food behind the scenes. STAY AWAY. I was dreaming of stuffed pizza a few weeks ago and grabbed a medium Meat Lovers to go. My husband and I each had a slice(which are gigantic by the way). I couldn't finish mine, because no matter how delicious, there was just no way. My husband somehow finished his slice and immediately fell into a food coma. I have yet to try the pizza but I have been pretty pleased with the chicken club sandwich. It's always hot and dripping with melted cheese (just the way I like it!). I've also had their spinach salad, cannoli and zucchini appetizers. All of which are good. I always order online and the food is ready when they say it will be. Service is great. Nancy's Pizzeria is a perfectly adequate pizza place. I've had their food a few times. They have a pretty good deep dish, but otherwise it's nothing to get excited about. Downers Grove/Woodridge has better pizza places to offer. I like Tortorice's personally. read more

Rustic crust pizza is our favorite. Many good places our there...this is a bit on the pricier side. Not sure we would order if it wasn't within walking distance to pick up and save the delivery/tip costs. Great pizza though....and staff is great...order is always right. read more
