We were going to the Cinemark, which is practically next-door to Clara's so we decided to eat there and I made a reservation there on OpenTable yesterday we showed up timely at 10 to 5 and First. We had some soup which was an Italian soup which was bright, orange and really really delicious after the soup. We shared Rudy's shrimp which is pasta with shrimp and a clear garlic sauce and of course, the bread they put on the table we had with it was wonderful. The waitress was terrific very smiley and very sweet and I can't think of anything. It isn't five star about this place. You'll see a picture at the end which is just a snapshot of the bar area great restaurant read more

Best Italian food I've had in a while! I had a delicious pasta with homemade tomato sauce, and my girlfriend ordered the spaghetti. Everything was so good that we finished every single bite. The homemade bread with olive oil was incredible--I honestly couldn't get enough of it. And don't even get me started on the broccoli cheddar soup! It was easily the best broccoli cheddar I've ever had. We loved it so much that we even took a quart home. Our waitress was super sweet and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. The restaurant also has plenty of comfortable booths and tables, and the atmosphere has a nice, relaxed, romantic vibe. It's a great spot for date night or going out with friends and family. read more

Had a reservation for 7p.m. showed up and got sat promptly. Host was very nice. Got waters and cold dinner rolls dropped off but no greet from any staff member. Sat for about 15 minutes with no acknowledgement. Wasn't super impressed with the menu so decided to just leave. Told the host about not being greeted and she was apologetic, while doing this a staff member came up saying sorry and it was their fault and they had forgotten about us; he was the one who dropped water but failed in any greet. read more

My family and I used to love Clara's for the longest time. However, in the past five years we feel like it has gone downhill. We went to celebrate a birthday dinner and left very underwhelmed. My mom ordered the Vodka cream sauce with grilled chicken. It tasted good, but she said it was not the best Vodka pasta dish she has had. My dad ordered the Salmon Florentine. The fish had that "fish" smell to it. I opted for my go-to, Spicy Rigatoni Arrabbiata with grilled shrimp. As an appetizer we got calamari and bruschetta. Overall, most of the food we ordered was fine...it was good, but nothing special. The salmon a thumbs down. As always, I will give it to Clara's for their kind and attentive service, as well as their balanced classy and cozy vibe. It is just a shame that the quality of their food seems to have gone down. read more

Came here with a few friends. Service was ok but the food was horrible. Everything came out warm at best. I ordered the meat Lasagna and it tasted like it was sitting out for a while and was almost rubbery. I have visited a few times in the past and it seems like the quality of the food keeps getting worse. read more

Clarence is always good. I usually get their Rudy Junior dish, which I get with Angel hair and Alfredo sauce. Their services always really good. I love the oil they give you for your bread before the dinner. read more

Clara's is a nice Italian restaurant located in the Seven Bridges area of Woodridge. The ambience is lovely--warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed dinner. Prices are on the higher side for Italian, with most entrées averaging around $20-$30. The arancini (Fried risotto balls) are A+, worth the trip. The starter salad was disappointing--basically a bag of lettuce with a single slice of tomato and cucumber, topped with a flavorless dressing. However, the homemade pasta was very good, and there's a generous selection of sauces to choose from, which made the main course worth it. Service was fine--nothing exceptional, but nothing to complain about either. Overall, a pleasant spot if you're craving good pasta and don't mind paying a bit more for the atmosphere. read more

We came to Clara's for the first time today, and this place was hopping at 4:45! The ambiance was extremely nice, with beautiful holiday decor and a cozy fireplace. It is also very kid friendly, with the space large enough for kids to walk around without interrupting other patrons. And the service of the support staff was top notch - even if our server was swamped with other tables, the support team also kept an eye on our table and ensured we had what we needed. For me personally, the food was too salty and too saucy (I had the eggplant parmigiana and we split a pizza). However, the complimentary bread with garlic olive oil was delicious, and the mocktail I had was easy to drink (a take on an Arnold Palmer), and my kids / husband particularly enjoyed the calamari. While this won't be a regular staple, it was nice to try! read more

I took my two kids here for lunch. I ordered $12.95 lasagna but still ended up with a $90 bill!! They charged almost $30 each for fettuccine Alfredo with a few pieces of grilled chicken. What a scam!! Lasagna was mid. Rolls were good. read more

Had the craving for shrimp scampi so ordered takeout. It was the Rudy Jr Shrimp Special. Got home, opened up the bottle of wine, and dove in. Right away, noticed it had no flavor. Added some pepper. No flavor. Added some crushed red pepper but was still very bland. I believe they literally put the steamed or boiled shrimp over the pasta and melt a stick of butter. So disappointed. On top of that, cost around $30. On a side note, gave me a small bag with bread. I thought at least I could enjoy the bread. Not the case. The bread was dry. Threw it away. If you have to drive a bit farther, go to Mia Gia in the promenade or make your own. read more

The complimentary bread brought out with herbed dipping oil is always so delicious. It's so difficult to avoid filling up before the main entrée is served! The garlic bread with added mozzarella chrese was good & very flavorful. The fresh pasta (which has a variety of shapes to choose from such as fettucini, spaghetti, rotini, radiatore, etc.) with tomato sauce was delicious. The tiramisu was pretty good too. Friendly & attentive service made it overall a great meal. read more

Placed a simple order for two things and they leave half the order out. I'm then told the kitchen forgot to put it in the bag. No kidding. Now someone here goes without their meal unless I want to go pick it up. Why don't they offer to send it with a delivery service? It's their screw up they should incur the cost to have it delivered. Done with Clara's. read more

I went out to Clara's yesterday and it was really good. The service was great. We have a young lady. I remember what I mean was when she was expecting her first child. Got seated in the bar area for an early dinner on a Friday night and it was a happy accident because all cocktails were half price. Or - I buy one and my sister gets one free as she says! Server was great, place was clean and stylish, but brightly light. Bread & oil for the table was delicious. Everyone's food was great and the portions were generous. Would definitely go again. read more

One of your workers stayed in the bathroom to confront me for accidentally making a louder noise with the stall door than normal. I went to close the stall door, it get caught in my elbow so I closed it with my elbow and it made a louder lose than normal. He proceeded to wait in the bathroom to confront me, then run out to the floor to cause a scene. I was left confused. Ask they asked, I left. I later called and they said I'm not allowed back because I was "screaming". Pull up the tapes. No one was screaming. I was calmly waiting by the door, confused. Thanks. read more

Disappointed this time. We were party of six and seated in a booth, Way too crowded. I admit other times I have dined at Clara's it has been at a high top in the bar area. It seemed to me there was nothing special in regard to the food nor the presentation. read more

I was here with a group of 4 during dinner and overall our experience was OK. From what I've heard from others this place has expanded and is somewhat recently renovated. The space itself is fairly modern and has a closed off-ish floor plan. For me it looks smaller than what it actually is. Service for us was also OK. It could have been better/faster, however, I've had service from other establishments be way worse as well. It was fairly busy so I can understand why we didn't have speedy lighting fast service. I did notice that there were a number of bugs flying from the ceiling or instantly attracted to food once we did receive items. Note: we dined indoor and windows/doors from what I could see were kept closed. I ordered the house red wine and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. It was on the sweeter and less acidic side and if there is 1 thing that I would order if I came back, it would be this. For food we started with the grilled calamari to share and it was also just OK. Nothing special about it, pretty standard for a calamari. For my entree I had angel hair pasta with the vegetable primavera sauce. This was OK quality wise. The business owner said they've been using the same pasta recipe and same house made technique daily for many years but for me it does not taste like it's fresh or homemade. Flavors were OK, again, nothing special. As for the portion it was generous and I did have a lot left to take home. read more

Had dinner and was very disappointed. It was not our first time and the quality of the food has gone down. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce tasted watered down with no flavor. We have visited Clara's for years & was looking forward to a delicious dinner & 1st class staff teams. Our Waitress was amazing even though she was expecting her 1st child in a couple weeks! We arrived after lunch rush. The place had a few people eating but not at all busy. Unfortunately the staff in the main restaurant was NOT concerned with their loud conversations & acting like they were outside at a ball game shouting to the umpire seriously totally ruined the romantic couple dinner we desperately needed. Even if we were the only one in restaurant the staff & workers should understand only low conversation is professional in this preferred establishment .Our waitress heard our concern & the manager came to our table. To our disappointment he acted like our complaint was unfounded! Even after the manager supposedly asked staff to settle down many still continued loud conversation & expressions. On our way out at the hostess table there were 2 ladies positioned there, can you believe NOT either one said Thank you for coming, or Have a nice day!OMG the lack of manners & politeness was the worst I have seen. I have worked in the food industry & if this experience as guests , patrons made us aware of a concern.. As a Manager I would re-train the whole staff. I doubt we will ever come back. read more

Food was more American than Italian Bread was a bit bland Most would find it very good, since they haven't had Italian food Not fresh tasting as I am accustomed to, a lot of salt, but for the money not bad Service was a little slow, Dessert was small for the price Addition of an all lemon cake would be nice read more

It's too bad the food stinks here. My family has been three times and we've never had a delicious meal. The eggplant parmigiana, the chicken parmigiana...it all tasted the same. The tomatoes in the salads were mushy and disgusting. You could only get whole clams in the linguine in white clam sauce only if you ordered "extra clams." Nothing was served hot enough...some of the bread squares I think they were supposed to be focaccia, they were burned on the bottom. Such a disappointment. read more

Stopped into Clara's for lunch today to celebrate a co-worker's first day on the team. What a GREAT lunch spot! Plenty of room for groups/meetings and a wonderful lunch menu with huge portions!
