But then my eye caught the sign for The Cheese Steak Shop and I said "Just go there! Why the heck not?" So parking was a breeze for a Thursday afternoon. Walking into the establishment I saw four tables with four seats. There's a garbage conveniently near the entrance/exit door. The menu was easy to navigate. If I had the time, the money, or the metabolism I would have gotten like four different sandwiches. But again( I wanted to make things easy for myself I went for the Classic Philly. Half a sandwich was good enough to fill me up. I didn't pass up on the peppers! I got water for a drink because I'm not into Pepsi products. If you need to use the restroom, you can get the code from one of the people working. The sandwich took about four minutes to cook. The bread could have been a bit crunchier. Loved the way they cooked the meat, the cheese was melted just right, and the peppers were the right type of spice. The real thing that made me pleased to eat here, besides the food, was that they were playing the Club World Cup game between Inter Miami (MESSI MESSI) and FC Porto. I love when a place has anything football related. 4.5/5 - round up to 5/5

We had to use the bathroom, and the soap was out. The staff member brought a new one, but didn't know how to install it so it just sat on top of paper towels. Not a huge deal but bruh, figure it out. The guy was nice enough, but just sat and watched his phone when no one was at counter. There was also another guy, maybe from the kitchen (?) hanging out behind the counter sometimes as well. All while tables needed wiping, the bus tub was FULL with dishes, or either of them could have tried to get the soap installed. If there was no one at counter or food to cook it was stand around and stare at our phones. It's just sad Just a subpar experience for as much as food costs these days. Train the staff to stay busy and know how to bus tables and clean. And if you ever order the BLT chicken sandwich make sure to ask for no BBQ sauce. Yuk.

This pizza place is definitely bomb! I've been coming here for a while now, their staff are so welcoming. Right when you walk in you can feel the vibe. The pizza is delicious and the fact that I can have a pizza, with WHATEVER I want? I'm sold! I'm a regular at South Shore , so I always make sure I go and get my MOD fix. Tatiana is very nice, and prompt. I do not eat pork.. I like that Tatiana changes her gloves before she makes my pizza, like how she took her time and let me know that my favorite pizza, the "Tyler" could be made with grilled chicken instead of the pork meats that come in it. She recommended spinach on my pizza and I've been hooked ever since. The fact that she knows my order by heart and ask me "you want your usual?" Shout out to #Tatiana !! read more

Pros: Chipotle but for pizza. Great price for the quality you get. They're pretty generous with the toppings and employees have great attitude. Love the variety of toppings available and the line usually moves pretty fast. Cons: Huge turnoff is that the employees there don't wear hairnets or caps since they're handling food. Some of these people have pretty long hair too! Limited seating during peak hours. Milkshakes aren't that great as well. Ordered: Mod size pizza ($8.47), perfect for sharing or when you're super hungry. Would I recommend: Only giving this place 3 stars because of the no hairnets/cap problem but if that doesn't bother you then this place makes great pizzas. read more

Look...it's rainy and my day has been all kinds of messed up. I stopped here to get a gluten free pizza to brighten my day and what do I do? Drop my pizza all over myself and on the floor where everyone is walking. Soooo embarrassing. Staff came right over started making me a whole new pizza for FREE! No questions. No attitude. They are wonderful here. Being a business owner myself I know how important reviews are so I thought the least I could do while waiting for my new pizza was write a 5 star for this establishment. This is my absolute favorite stop to eat. If you want a quick affordable bite to eat with all your favorite flavors this is it. Unlimited toppings and cooked how you want. The crew working is very helpful and recommend different flavors from toppings. They always greet people and treat you like friends. Plus they have no name cakes for desert which are delicious and root beer floats! They just rolled out a loyalty program so for cheap great tasting pizza you eventually rack up free ones or salads! Yesterday my husband and I came to this location around 3 pm and was amazed at how hard these employees work and serving top quality pizza. I came to get some pizza today around 12:30 this afternoon and it was an great experience. It was really busy in there but it was worth the wait. The employees were having excellent customer service and going at an fast paced rate! There was one particular young male employee who's name was hard to say but he guided me through how the process works. He also seemed very delighted to help me and showed respect. Wow this place has gone down hill. Burnt pizza, they forgot the dressing for the salad and the lettuce was soaking wet. Threw entire order it in the garbage (see pictures). I tried to call but they don't answer the phone, I guess they were still too busy talking and laughing with each other. I usually love mod pizza, but the quality of the staff is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a pizza and I guess the staff decided to just throw the pizza into the pizza oven like a Frisbee. As someone who also works in the restaurant industry this is absolutely ridiculous. 11 bucks for a make your own pizza...depending on whos is working they can get skimpy on the amount of toppings they give you. Theres times where i ask for extra pepperoni and they slap on two extra piece and sometimes they slap on 8 to 9 pieces. Overall the place isnt too bad for the price range. read more

Arjun was the one who confirmed my order via phone and also helped at the counter when I arrived for the pickup. Pizzas were fresh and warm from the oven! Solid choices too! Chose a pepperoni pizza (which had the pepperoni coins curled upwards into the perfect cup shape and texture) and a spinach pizza which I sprinkled some oregano flakes on top for extra seasoning. Online coupons are available and can easily be applied to your order on their website. There's also a February special for heart-shaped pizzas too. What I also noticed is they have a weekday lunch buffet special for all you can eat pizza, breadsticks, and a salad bar for $15.99. Seems like a pretty good deal for lunch that I may have to try the next time I'm in the area. Additional Note: they are a franchise and from what I understand, the owner is an Alameda resident too. They're very generous with their meat portions too. Their pizza is amazing!! Reminds me of when our older Italian neighbor would make me pizza as a kid. The owners are always very warm and welcoming and they also sell a small selection of Italian grocery products too. It's more of a grab and go spot as there's only one small table outside with two chairs-there is a dog leash hitch though that's handy! Great place to stop by for your sandwich or Italian fix!

Ineffable. Pizza is…read moreone of my favorite things in the world, and a truly great pie is surprisingly hard to find. I stumbled across East End about a month ago and have been hooked ever since. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. The atmosphere is warm and effortlessly cool, the staff are fantastic, and Rick behind the bar knows his craft. His recommendations have been spot-on every time. East End has been around for more than 15 years, and I understand why. They make everything in-house, including their pasta, and change the menu seasonally to highlight the best ingredients. After spending more than a month in Italy, I can genuinely say the pasta and pie here takes me back. Last week I tried the "BRIGANTI" pizza, and it was exceptional. Rick recommended adding the house-made lamb sausage, which paired perfectly with the wood-fired crust, salty Castelvetrano olives, and sweet onion. Every flavor had a purpose, and together they just worked. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better hospitality. East End has officially earned the title of my second-favorite pizza in the country, and I don't give that ranking lightly.

I went with some friends on a Saturday, their happy hour menu applies to Saturdays, from 5-6pm. On a Saturday late afternoon we were able to get seated right away, some tables were filled. We mainly went for the 12 for $12 oysters. There was three of us and we collectively had four dozen. The oysters varied in size but they seemed fresh and tasty. we mainly had them with lemon juice. We also tried one of their pizzas, they had a wood burning pizza oven on site. We tried their "Farmer's Daughter" Pizza which has summer squash, hand-pulled mozzorella, salt and pepper and oregano. The pizza was 14 inches and was pretty tasty. They recommended adding a protein with it for extra cost, but we had enough protein with the oysters. The happy hour oysters drew us in but I think I'd go again and try more of their Italian menu.
