Shrimp Quesadilla
Patty P.

Visited a few weeks ago on a warm and sunny weekend and had a delicious shrimp quesadilla. It was crispy, cheesy, and had a great sauce. It even had a little crisp of purple cabbage inside. I highly recommend the food here. They have plenty of seating and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Came here for lunch and ordered another burrito. This one was much better than last time. Plenty of rice, good sauce, and asada (amongst the other ingredients). We got here with good timing as there was a rush of Alameda High students that came in after. The staff members were very nice. We ordered at the register, chose our seats, and they brought our food out to us.

Pretty good! Very clean inside. Stations were very clean as well. The service was super friendly and quick. Plenty of seating indoors. I did wish they provided hot sauce on the tables as well, which they didn't have and we had to ask for. As for the food, it was pretty good, but different. I got the asada burrito with a guac add-on. It was heftyyyy! The tortilla is pretty thick and flour-y in my opinion. The burrito was also soft and loose. Usually I like my burritos firm and with the thinner tortillas. As for the things inside the burrito, the flavor was pretty mild. For example, the Mexican rice seemed to have lacked flavor. On the plus side, the ingredients tasted SUPER fresh, which was awesome. Additionally, similar to what another yelper mentioned, this place was also less greasy which is a nice plus. Overall the food was decent and I'd still be down to come back again esp bc of the price!!

The service was really friendly and it's a family owned restaurant. I was hopefully for this new edition on Park Street but the food didn't meet expectations. The meats didn't taste fresh and lacked the smoky char flavor. - Fino Fries: These were just okay. It reminded me of McDonald's fries, with very little flavor. The meat was thin and I could barely taste it. - Al pastor tacos: I had better Al pastor. The meat didn't taste good. Overall, I'd rate the service 5/5, but the food 2/5.

Taco Fino Express opened where Liguini's Pizza once was. A taco truck translated to a 2 section eatery with ample seating & eye-catching decor. Offerings (Mexican): tacos, bowls, quac & fries, quesadillas, soft drinks, cali burrito. Same as taco truck? Prompt courteous service @counter. Food ready pronto...it seems. Bites: al pastor/asada tacos (@3.50) -street taco size. Garnishes of lime squeeze, jalepenos, salsa, onions, cilantro. -pastor pieces chewy with fruity salsa -asada slightly more tender abid not juicy. -probably leftovers from previous day. Arrived late morning soon after they opened. 3.5 stars menu typical of taco trucks though many have very large menus. *probably got them on an "off" time. Best to go after lunch or whenever "new" meats are prepared.

Love this place!! My son and I went for the second time tonight. I had the shrimp tacos and he had a chicken taco and the Fino Fries with steak. The staff was welcoming and friendly, the facilities were clean, and the food.... oh my goodness...heaven. It's a newer business in Alameda, and it wasn't terribly busy inside both times we went, which is shocking given the quality and quantity of the food and the stellar customer service. I feel like Alamedans get set in their ways when it comes to some of the long-established businesses they have always patronized. We were guilty of that too but you know what? Taco Fino makes better tacos amd burritos than our go-to place! I'm SO glad we tried them. They give really large portions, and they put this creamy orange sauce on the food. Not sure what it is but YUM!! We will definitely be back.

Storefront on Park St

1506 Park St Alameda, CA 94501 "Taco Fino Express" is a fast-casual mexican restaurant with a simple menu. The interior is clean and bright, with plenty of tables. Featured in the dining room is a hand-made model of the Park Street Bridge, complete with little vehicles. I've been to this place twice so far. The first time, I ordered the Cali-Burrito w/ steak. The burrito has tater tots instead of fries. The flavor was okay, and was easy to eat. The size was average for the price. I don't think I would order it again. My second visit, i ordered the nachos w/ carnitas. Lots of meat and toppings on top of a bed of chips. Very good! I enjoyed my order of nachos. Service was very fast and friendly. The place is still in it's soft opening phase, and I hope they add more dishes to their menu. I'll check back in a few weeks. Taco Fino Express is near Park St & Santa Clara Ave. Street parking only

Date: 1/11/2025 Time: 3:30 PM 67° Sunny Taco Fino Bar popped up on one of the Facebook groups where I am a member. They just opened yesterday, so I decided to come in for a late lunch. After perusing the menu board, it did not take me long to decide what I have a taste for on a sunny afternoon. One bowl with my favorite fixings, please. (Spanish rice, pinto beans, seasoned asada, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream). Price: $13.00. All ingredients are freshly prepared. Specialties: the usual fare of tacos, burrito (Cali, veggie), quesadillas, fino fries, nachos. Meat choices consist of asada, al pastor, pollo pastor and carnitas. Sides are chips 'n salsa, chips 'n guacamole and rice 'n beans. Bottled beverages and water are available in refrigerator. Soda fountain beverages are located in next section of the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Guesstimate of seating capacity: 25 to 35 people. Ambiance is comfy and casual. Mexican music playing...nice. Restaurant is well lit and cleanliness is a plus. The replica of the Park Street Bridge is cool. Love it. Customer service is excellent. It's a family owned business. Employees are friendly and helpful. Welcome to Alameda. Future visits: Most definitely! I will have to bring my sister here for lunch. I'm looking forward to the Fino fries. Yum!

Just went back and brought my boyfriend and his friend to celebrate his belated birthday. They have never gone but I'm a repeat customer. The guys ordered guac & chips, Cali burrito Al pastor & Cali burrito asada. I ordered the loaded house special asada fries again because why not. I was surprised to find out that the Cali burrito is made with tater tots rather than fries at typical burrito places. Glad for it cause usually places salt their fries then add it to the Cali burrito and it's way too salty and super difficult to get thru taste wise. I'd probably order the loaded tater tots next time or a Cali burrito. I got a bite and flavor was there! Guac was super fresh, bright green, and chonky--how I like it! Place is as clean as can be as always. I followed their IG page as advertised on the register and I got a free fountain drink. Bonus: they happened to be testing out a new item, Birria Taco Melt, and the family-owned business offered us all a taco while we were waiting in line. It was literally amazing. I told them as soon as Birria, Shrimp, and Fish are on the menu I'll be running back here cause the Birria was 10/10 bomb dot com! If you haven't visited Taco Fino Express, get over there asap cause they cooking up some new options including frescas. SYOY, Kat

First time here and I got the fino bowl with asada. They were running low on rice so they made a fresh batch before they assembled my bowl. Service wise, it was great. I'm coming here again to try their own proteins because I came to get something for my child and I to share. The food is toddler approved which is a big plus for me so I know spots to go to to feed this growing child. I like that their menu is easy to follow with a limited amount of items. After I finished the bowl, I didn't feel heavy or weighed down by the food and had this feeling of like " this was like having a home cooked meal" and I mean that in a good way.

I ordered take out for pick up and the staff were extremely friendly on the phone and in person. My husband and I ordered a asada burrito and asada taco and carnitas taco. Super reasonably priced food and not greasy. They also offered plethora of salsas and pickled jalapeños and carrots. Ambiance is neat and clean. Parking is a little difficult since it's on a busy street.

Fino Fries with carnitas

Ordered takeout for the game tonight and we really enjoyed Taco Fino..First off very easy to call in an order and appreciated some variety on the menu but also not a ton of options so easier to decide what you want. Had our orders ready in 10 ish minutes. We tried a bit of everything: rice and beans, steak burrito, kids burrito, quesabirras, fino fries, and regular tacos. Everything was very yummy and good portions for the price. We really the sauce on the fries, had a bit of a kick. Definitely would go again.

The store front seems like it's closed but it's not. There is just not inside dining. You order at the window and get your food on the other side. Good customer service and they're bilingual! Came by and got some enchiladas. I'm accustomed to eating red enchiladas but their chicken enchiladas are served with green sauce. Do they test the same as what I grew up eating... no. They have their own flavor. However! It's so good! It's the closest I've gotten to authentic and I will 100% be back. I was so satisfied after the first bite. Cleaned the whole plate!

The quite literal definition of nachos are chips with melted cheese !!!! I asked for my food to be properly remade and she told me she RUDELY told me all she could do was pour cheese on top . Any authentic Mexican food spot would never put hot cheese on top of cold toppings. I continued to ask questions trying to make sense of their ridiculous policy and she not only gave no clear answers she was RUDE & disrespectful, almost even confrontational. I explained to her that not only were my nachos cheese less but the chips and meat I was served were TERRIBLE . The chips were stale , and the meat lacked flavor (ground beef) . BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. If you don't like your overpriced food or even if it's made improperly, you are stuck with it. They used to have much better integrity. However, at this rate I can see them going downhill FAST. I posted about my experience on social media and the amount of responses I received with similar experiences were massive ! DONT GO HERE ! But since then and nowadays they have tougher competition that I prefer to go to over them and recently started to develop a hate and love relationship here. It used to be my die hard go to taco truck. This truck for me makes delicious carnitas burritos and pollo tacos. And a sleeper is the al pastor burrito and suadero tacos. That al pastor isn't made from the trompo but the seasoning and juiciness of their version in the burrito is what makes it one of the best burrito options on there if you haven't tried it. Carnitas burritos is super delicious because you get that nice crispiness of the fried tender pork with the rice, cheese and sour cream. I like to ask for onions, cilantro and tomato in mines for variety and freshness to cut the heaviness of the fats and dairy. Tacos I normally would get or recommend is the Carnitas, Pollo, Cabeza, Suadero, and Asada. Carnitas are as delicious as explained with the burrito. Pollo or known as chicken tacos are super tender and juicy. It's also very flavorful, and one of my favorite chicken tacos to get here because most places don't make chicken very well and are usually very dry. The cabeza is super tender and a great option. Suadero just like the asada is just a better version of the asada cut. It's packed with more flavor and seasoning than the asada and slightly more tender which is why I prefer it to the regular steak. I tend to find the asada more dry and sometimes tough. Recently the pricing doesn't reflect on the fairness of the portion size. $4 tacos but the meats aren't as packed. Felt like they started to skimp because of rising costs but has been happening before then. $15 burrito but the sizing isn't as filling as it used to be. I started to see more rice than meat. They've also started to be very stingy with a huge attitude especially the gentleman that works on the pick up station when asking for extra pickled veggies, limes and salsa. And it happens every time for the past several years now. For example he gave me 2 limes, 4 pieces of sliced pickled carrots, 2 slices of pickled jalapenos, 3 radishes, and 1 rojo salsa for an order of a super burrito and 7 tacos. When I asked for extras the gentleman gave me an attitude and said he already did and won't give more. Only reason I still go here is because it's close to home and if my favorite spots for tacos are closed for the night.

I'd read other reviews saying they were good, and that CRT made their own chips and had good portions. So we tried it when we were nearby. It was a "cheap" ($17) dinner fail. The chips were good. Mouth on fire vs tasteless tomato chunks. The chicken was really bad. Was it old, or just NOT my flavor? Hard to tell the guacamole was thin and too lime-y. I almost wondered if it was from Costco. Cheese was also not good. We had also just exercised, and we were really hungry. This should have tasted good based on our previous exercise. But nope.
