So many choices on the menu

Came here in a Sunday to grab a quick bite to eat. Lovely very nice staff. We ordered an Asian chicken salad. It was huge and can feed 2 people. In addition we had the hot pastrami which was also huge. We split the sandwich and salad and still have enough salad for a 3 rd salad.bread and ingredients fresh. Will come back. Place was clean.

I still feel exactly the same about this Togo's two years later. Love their sandwiches. The current owners do a good job of keeping it clean although the sight of the floor mat sitting on a food counter next to the soda was a little un appetizing. I dinged them a star for that. I know restaurants have all kinds of unsanitary things going on, but you don't want to actually see it. Very nice people, but they're also kind of slow for fast food.

This is a photo of the turkey #24 Turkey & Avocado - 6" Regular. This was after my first bite.

I stopped by the Togo's on Broadway in Alameda and want to be fair ,the service was good. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was fine. But the Turkey Avocado sandwich I ordered was a major letdown. I ordered a large, which came out to about $16, and it literally had two slices of turkey on it. That's not even a normal serving for an adult. For most of the sandwich, it felt like I was biting into nothing but bread. I'm really not the type of person who goes out of my way to complain. I don't eat out often, and usually I just take things how they are and move on. But this was honestly so disappointing that I felt it needed to be said. Great staff, but extremely poor value for the price. The sandwich itself was mediocre simply because of how little turkey was actually on it.

This is my automatic go-to for a sandwich in Alameda when I'm pressed for time. I use the Togo's App and order, then go pick it up. They have a parking lot that's never full, so it's easy to get in and get out. My sandwich is usually ready on-time. Maybe I had to wait a bit near lunch time. Staff always friendly and ready to serve. Always a good sandwich.

I keep forgetting there's a togo here!! I can walk here if I like but I won't.. Subs are better than subway and I like subway. :)

Standard Togo's I suppose, I've actually never been there. I only ever use DoorDash to buy a sandwich from this place, but I have a nostalgia for these hot melted Italian subs that are common where I grew up in Pennsylvania and every once in a while I order the hot and melty sandwich from Togo's because it's pretty close. The name of the sandwich is "Hot and Melty Italian" and then it has two different sections where it gives you the opportunity to answer again "Do you want this hot and melty or just regular?" And every time I can see from the receipt I've selected hot and melty. I do my very best, especially with DoorDash to be really explicit in my instructions as to what I want and what I don't want to make it easy on people to be successful in their food prep. It is strange then, But I got an ice cold sandwich delivered to my house and I don't mean like a sandwich that has been cooked and then has gotten cold. Is the result of being driven 15 miles. This sandwich has never been cooked. If you examine the provolone you will see that. That is a provolone slice that has never melted. It has never been hot and so it's really frustrating and when I'm very hungry and working in my house to order a sandwich and then have it arrive and then have to IKEA my sandwich take it all apart so that I can put it in the oven so that I can take it back out of the oven and put it back together. (So the tomatoes and lettuce don't wilt). So now that I've finished my micro construction project, I'm going to move on with my day but be careful people with your orders. While my Sandwich turned out decently . . . It's really easy for people to just not read your order.

However, an acquaintance raved about it, so we had to try. Once inside, you sense the warm, family-run feel, and regulars and staff know each other. You also get the sense that people know where it's at when it comes to great sandwiches. The sandwiches are amazing. Ok, I'll be honest -- I went like three times in two weeos, but have only tried one sandwich. Because it's so dang amazing. The roast lamb sandwich. My girlfriend agrees, and that's also the only thing she gets. It's borderline life-changing. We like it with: dutch crunch, pepperjack, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, and a bit of Dijon. I also tried their fantastic tiramisu, one of the best I've had. They carry delicious chips; I've enjoyed the pesto and truffle flavors. They also carry the delicious, local Alameda Soda Co sodas. Just an awesome way to enjoy delicious food and support local businesses. Other notes: For two people, a large should be fine! They wrap it as two sandwiches. Works perfectly for me and my gf, with chips and drinks. The have a dining area at both the front and back of the shop. Lines can form, but nothing extreme. Absolutely worth it. They take phone orders! I haven't tried yet. I don't mind waiting and it's nice to chat with the staff (if they're not too busy).

I ordered a tuna sandwich with everything on Dutch crunch bread, along with some Harvest Cheddar SunChips and a Strawberry Kiwi Snapple. Let me tell you--the sandwich was excellent. The tuna tasted fresh, the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp, and that Dutch crunch bread brought it all together. Every bite was on point. Easily one of the best deli sandwiches I've had, especially from an independently owned spot. The place itself has a great old-school vibe. Lots of photos on the walls and even some Raiders memorabilia, which gives it a real local feel. When I got there, there were a few people ahead of me, so I waited about 10-15 minutes, but it was worth it. You can tell they're making everything fresh. There were about 4-5 people working behind the counter, and even though they were busy, they were still friendly, engaging, and interacting with customers, which I liked. The lady at the register was also very nice and welcoming. They've got a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I've tried a few over the years, but next time I might go for something like the Chicago-style meatball sandwich. If you're in Alameda on Webster Street and want a fresh, high-quality sandwich, this is the spot. Perfect for grabbing something to go and heading over to the park or the beach on a nice day. Two thumbs up from me.
