It's located on the marina side of 1070 Marina Village Parkway, and is not visible from the parking lot. I've known about this place for years, but never had a reason to drop by. But on a Monday morning, I decided to try their sandwiches after my doctor's appt got done early. It's actually a nice location if you want to take a break and relax. The outside patio has a view of the marina, and it's pretty quiet. I wasn't really impressed with this place. The young lady who took my order at the counter didn't say hello, she just asked for my order. I ordered the Roast Turkey Special w/ Cranberry Sauce on sliced sourdough. Pretty ordinary sandwich for $12.50. While I was waiting I added a large fruit salad (mostly watermelon) for $7.50. I took my order to go, but there's tables inside and on the patio. Would I return? The cutest little deli on the marina in Alameda. I wanted to have lunch with a friend outdoors since I wanted to bring my dogs out. Found this via Yelp. Right by the water so the view is beautiful. Cute little deli right on the water. Been wanting to try for a while, and it was pretty good. I tried the BLT with avocado and my husband tried the ham cheese and egg on croissant. Our company uses Waterfront Deli for catering and it is such a great pleasure interacting with Esther and Mateo. First off, their food is delicious! They offer a variety of sandwiches, hot plates (rice/pasta), and salads for a reasonable price. Esther communicates great with you via email or on the phone. She really caters to your crowd. When the food arrives, they are labeled so there's no mix up. We had them as our caterer for an event that occurred 2x a week for 4 weeks. I visited this cute, small deli shop for the first time and got a sandwich on a roll, toasted. The sandwich itself was good, but I felt it could have been better. The toaster they used didn't really crisp the bread as I expected, so it didn't stay warm for long, especially with the cold ham and veggies. I came here for the first time after hearing about the Bulgog Sandwich they have. Had the East Meets West (Bulgogi) Sandwich... and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had. It was a well made sandwich and it was just the right size. I ordered it with chips and a soda. It was a good sandwich but for my tastes, it was a bit dry. We also ordered the Mediterranean Wrap with chicken. This was a fine, well crafted sandwich. Like other delis, they bring your order to your table. However, they do so on a silver platter. No, I do not mean this figuratively but literally. It was a silver platter! No other restaurant that I have ever visited has ever do so. 4 out of 5 because I got a pickle with my tray but others in my party did not. I thought it was an oddity. Super friendly. I tried ordering sandwiches at another place that had already closed, so I was in a pinch to find lunch for friends who thought I had them covered. I happened to be at CVS and it was 2:50pm. Waterfront Deli listing said they were nearby and closing soon, so I gave them a call. He was happy to take my order even with only 10 minutes to closing. I ordered two hot pastrami sandwiches to go. Slipping in just under the wire, when I got there the sandwiches were hot and ready. I paid, and that was that. A cute little deli hidden away overlooking the marina! We were looking for something simple, soup and salad perhaps, and saw the Waterfront Deli listing on Yelp. We made one wrong turn, so it took a few extra minutes to find it. As you approach fron the parking lot, a sign in front of the building directs you around to the back side, looking out over the the moored boats of all kinds. Along the way, offices of different boat dealers advertise their offerings. The deli itself is a small space, and there were a few people who had ordered before us. The place was nice and clean, menu on display boards for browsing. My wife ordered a small tuna/greens salad, while I opted for lentil soup, and we both had iced tea. My office is located across the street and with limited lunch options nowadays, this is a good spot to grab a sandwich. Nothing fancy but at least it's a fairly healthy option at a reasonable price. You can also find some Korean dishes here if that is up your alley. Those are pretty tasty but not cheap. An added plus, is the abundance of outdoor seating along the water. Not gonna lie, I wasn't as impressed with Waterfront Deli as all these reviews seem to be. My turkey burger salad was pretty pedestrian, simple and quite frankly, not worth the money. The only saving grace for this spot is that the views were beautiful with the outdoor seating. The place inside is pretty cold and sterile. The menu although looks incredible, my salad was weak and it was $9.50. It was probably worth more like $5. A very small salad with a small amount of turkey meat crumbled on top, served with a small serving of hummus and pita. Not worth it. My colleague was unimpressed with her 'east meets west' sandwich. It's a fine option if you happen to be over here and need food ASAP, but it's for sure not a destination. read more
