    Takoyaki

Oh my gosh, move over other milk and tea places, the mochi shack is fire! Stopped by with my kiddos for a snack and we each ordered a drink instead of the usual sharing (our trust is low when it comes to milk tea bubble tea and any type tea in general). We all loved the drinks we got (as well as the sip we stole from each other)!!! Kiddos also loved the food - donuts were sooo cute and tasty! The spring roll was also good and because I read it from the other high yelp reviews I ordered the takoyaki. Threw the first one in my mouth and it was burning hot but I managed to chew and swallow - very tasty! The second one I took small bites and that was a bad idea cuz I saw the fat piece of octopus and well... lost the excitement to continue eating it. I really tried to finish it but it felt like it was alive. Even the topping seemed to be flapping like it had a heartbeat - I kid you not. So as not to be wasteful I doggy bagged the rest and gave it to a friend to try (not sure if she liked it or not). Semi-live octopus snack aside, we can't wait to come back to try the other food on the menu! + friendly service + comfy seating indoors

I wanted to stop in here after reading some of the reviews for it and see for myself what kind of stuff they had here. I am a pretty big fan of fair food and corndogs rank pretty high on that list. We got a few other items to try too just to make sure we tried at least a few things off the menu. We ended up with a regular korean fried corndog, a flaming hot cheetos corndog that was half cheese inside, a couple of the boba teas, some of their BBQ wings, and two mochi donuts. The donuts were the toughest to pick. So many great flavors but we ended up with the fruity pebble and the nutella donuts. We waited for our food and the interior has some nice tables and chairs. The decor in here is also pretty fun. The staff work really quickly here as it was busy with orders but we still got everything we ordered fairly quickly. All in all, I really enjoyed all the food here. The corndogs were SO GOOD. The batter on them was lighter and better than a traditional corndog. The donuts were delicious, and even though I am not a huge fan of the breaded wings, they still tasted really good. We will definitely be back for more soon!

The donuts are very light and airy, out of the 3 flavors I enjoyed the cheesecake donut, the fruity pebble was okay but the churro was not good at all. The churro donut has no flavor, not sure if they had an off day but I wouldn't try that flavor again.

My daughter told me about this place she saw it somewhere online. Since it was closed by my work, I was like why not... so my friend and i venture out during lunch. It was in small plaza strip near old Walmart in Walden. I would have past it not knowing it. My friend ordered gyoza, original hotdog and ramune. While I ordered takoyaki, potato half/half and Thai tea. My friend let me tried her gyoza. It was very good. It was fried crispy and just slight different than regular gyoza. Takoyaki? Awesome! Even my friend enjoyed it. I made sure she didn't see the tentacle when I split it and give half to her lol. My hot dog was ok. I was hoping for more flavor outside. I didn't get the donuts. I'm tempted. Well next time. Overall I recommend to try this unique place.

This place is so cute and everything I have tried has been great. It's giving fair food in the best way! The lady who cashed us out was very nice, and had been dealing with a difficult customer prior, so kudos to her for not letting him get to her. Now for the food... the flaming hot mozzarella corn dog was delicious but has no spice whatsoever to it. Also had the cheesecake mochi donut, so good ! The texture was very similar to fried dough and it has a little wedge of cheesecake. Yum! All in all was two thumbs up! Just wish the flaming hot was actually spicy.

Wasn't really sure what to expect from this place, but I did not leave disappointed. I tried a couple things off the menu, including one of the donuts that are part of the namesake, an original "hotdog", and a brown sugar milk tea. I got a Cheesecake donut, which was topped with a little teaser of cheesecake on it. Fortunately I had read a little bit about mochi donuts beforehand so I knew it would be something a little chewier, and it definitely was but I enjoyed it. The original "hotdog" was essentially a corndog, lol. It was huge and came with a serving of ketchup. Not a cornmeal breading, but something more crunchy. It was a nice little snack. The last thing I tried was the brown sugar milk tea which I've had before at other places and this one was good. I liked the way it was served. Though I got things to-go, I appreciated it seeing the fresh batch of donuts being prepared in the kitchen, and the staff were friendly as well. The place offers a menu full of other things I'd consider coming back for to try, such as Korean fried chicken.

Mochi donuts and Taro bubble tea

My daughter was craving for bubble tea and I was looking for dessert. It was later in the evening and we found this restaurant that closes at 10pm. Small restaurant, has one table in the front and seating along the hallway to the back. We ordered mochi donuts which were made to order if there was none in the front and my daughter ordered Taro bubble tea. There was a group ahead of us so the wait was over 10 minutes. We didn't mind because we were not in a rush to go anywhere. I ordered lychee, ube, and rose flavor donuts. I think I liked ube the best. Lychee tasted like the imitation flavor.

This place is the bomb makes you not even want to eat a regular donut anymore. All u other donut selling shops count your days lmao. This was more of like a fried dough in my opinion with a delicious topping I also tried the peanut butter mochi which didn't make the picture. If you're ever around the Galleria mall stop on by this is more of a Korean style dessert I think.

The prices are a bit much, I'll start there. $18.99 for a 6 pack is a bit steep. But I treated myself for my birthday so I went and ordered. Ordering was really easy and straightforward! I actually ordered a bunch of different flavors I wasn't too sure I would like because I wanted to try something new. The flavors: Lychee, Mango, Ferrero Roche, Fruity Pebble, Green Tea. And then I tried to make it $25 so I could get the free bubble tea, but even adding a $5 drink didn't get me close enough. So if you want to get a free bubble tea, get like 7 or 8 donuts and a bubble tea. -Bubble tea was made and packaged fresh in front of me in their own specific plastic bottles with a soda can like top. Everything was wonderful. The donuts were fluffy and the dough was a different kind of sweet I can't describe well enough. It was almost like eating a slightly dense cloud. The rice flower really makes them fluffy. And the flavors are done so well and I'm only mad a bout it because like, ??? HOW??? Even the lychee?? Everything was heaven and these donuts didn't last a minute in my house. The bubble tea was yummy, the tapioca pearls were a bit too chewy/not soft enough for my preference. However the overall drink tasted amazing. Was the price worth it

    Potato rice dog

I was SUPER excited when I learned a mochi donut and Korean style rice dog place opened up in Buffalo. Sadly, the excitement was short-lived. Mochi Shack is different from other Korean rice dog places I have frequented. They have a very limited menu and a crew that seems flustered when there is a rush. Granted, the business just opened up they were already out of a bunch of the menu items. I settled on a standard potato rice dog. The other members of my party each had original, as they only had two varieties to choose from that day. We also ordered a variety of mochi donuts and bubble tea. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our order for the cashier to come over and ask what toppings we wanted. I, being an expert at ordering Korean rice dogs, was excited to hear their varieties "was it going to be sugar, garlic mayo, spicy chili, bbq sauce, honey sesame sauce"? My mouth was salivating, thinking of what the cashier was going to offer, only to be disappointed again. They offer a simple ketchup or chili sauce. We received our rice dogs and mochi donuts. The donuts were a bit oily, but The corn dogs were good, pretty tasty if you are looking for a basic rice dog, but if you are looking for the authentic Korean rice dog experience I would journey elsewhere.

Came for Korean corn dogs, tried the hot Cheeto, cereal and potato dogs! Half cheese half dogs. Amazing so good so filling and great prices. Clean and casual will be back!

    Matcha & PB donuts

Stumbled on this shop while we were in the area. I remembered having these donuts in California. Was surprised we finally got a mochi donut/korean corn dog place in town. Quick service and staffs were nice. You can order up front or online by scanning the qr code. Same donuts with large selection of different flavors/toppings. We got matcha and peanut butter donuts (they came out to $3.25 each), takoyaki, matcha & coffee bubble tea. The donuts are incredibly fresh, chewy and not overly sweet. They have limited bubble tea flavors that were made fresh and packaged in a clear plastic soda can. Pearls were chewy & I like the way they made my drink. The Takoyaki? Amazing. Spend over $25 and you'll get a free soda or milk tea. Or over $50 for a free hotdog. They offer other items in the menu like gyoza, kfc (korean fried chicken) with different sauces. They also have a new product: strawberry milk tea & hotdog varieties: blue takis, lemon cheetos, & crunch hotdog. If you're a mochi lover or simply curious to try something new, I recommend paying Mochi shack a visit.

These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)

The peanut donut was more on the crumbly side but still great flavour. The red velvet had a nice cream cheese icing. The cream filled donut had a typical white cream filling. Personally, I liked the glazed donut the best - great texture and wasn't too overly sweet. The pricing here is amazing - $1.50 for great quality donuts! Easy to park on the street.
